About the author

Daniel Brenner is a rabbi, author, and educator with a particular love for combining classic Jewish stories with a healthy serving of humor. During his college years, Brenner performed in a comedy ensemble with the late Chris Farley (Saturday Night Live, Tommy Boy, Beverly Hills Ninja) and ever since then he has been writing plays, songs, poems, and stories of the humorous variety. He received a Simon Rockower Award from the American Jewish Press Association (2004) for his writing on contemporary issues and was named by Newsweek Magazine as one of America's most influential rabbis (2009).
