Who says you cant go home.... Certainly not Addie Mae Turner. She left Mason Texas to pursue her dreams o be a Make up artist. But that's only one side of Maddie. Give her cut off jean shorts and her cowboy boots and she's very happy.
Then we have Sawyer Jackson. Born and raised in mason just like Addie. His dreams are foot ball and only foot ball. But as always Mason Texas has this magical way of making love a reality. Addie and Sawyer have know and fought with each other their whole lives. BUT then ZAP!!!! A simple change and maybe some sweet words makes you see things that were always there just under the surface, my only disappointment in this novella in none of the wanted gang made an appearance! But it was still a great story

Be still my heart!
Ohhhh friends to lovers is my favorite!! Casey always pull at my heartstrings and she did in this one as well!!
Addie Mae is living it up in Hollywood but her heart still belongs in Mason Tx. She may be a big Hollywood make-up artist but her roots are strong in a small town. Coming back for her BF baby shower, she recruites Sawyer to help while she still away. When she comes back Sawyer thinks she's a city girl but deep down he knows she's still a country girl at heart.
Sawyer new coach for Mason High feels the pressure under the lights but as soon as Addie Mae is back everything seems to shift.
I loved this novella. It will keep your attention the whole way. These two have a connection one that even Hollywood won't break. Highly recommended.

Sweet story!
First ever story I've read by Casey Peeler, and I do believe I'll be back for more.
This was a slow burner, not quite instalove, as Addie and Sawyer had known each other for a very long time. I'm really enjoying small town love at the moment, and this was a cute story, best friends smoking off limits,hot brother, but love has a funny way of staying hidden.
The secrecy of Pilkington the baby shower have them purpose, which I think helped them move from being each others plans in the butt to close friends to eventually lovers.
There more to Sawyer and Addies story, and maybe we'll get to see how they work out!

Sweet novella!
I absolutely loved bed this story. Addie Mae was this sassy mix of city and country. But after 3 years in the city, she starts to feel a little homesick. She’s headed home to surprise her best friend for her baby shower. Sawyer has been helping her coordinate the surprise. They have both been harboring feelings for each other and this weekend pushes them together. I loved how Sawyer wanted to talk all big about being done with helping, but he always helped anyway! These two have serious sparks that can’t be denied!

Great story
What can you say about a small town and everyone knows everyone. Addie Mae loves her job in LA but it's not Mason, the town that is just Home to her. She has always has a big crush on her Best Friends brother but he though of her as being a pain. But when these two are around each other they don't see it but everyone else does, the spark fly so when they feel the pull nothing will stop them for exploring it.

I love to read friends to lovers books and I really wish this was a full book. But with it being a novella it was still such a great read!!! The story line was great, making me want to have grown up in Mason Texas! and even though there were a few editing problems throughout the book I never got confused on what I was reading.

I NEED MORE!!
Omg this book was so Great!! The only thing bad I have to say is that it ended too fast!! I want, no I NEED more of Addie Mae and Sawyer!! This story reminds me so much of my hometown! Not much better than those Friday Night Lights!! I really hope Casey Peeler writes more to their story!! They are sooo sweet together!!

Addie Mae moves on to LA and makes a name for herself all while keeping her southern roots close to her. When she goes back home for her best friends baby shower, Sawyer sees what he has been missing all these years. He realizes Addie Mae is still the girl next door, his sisters best friend and the woman he loves.

Love the small town vibe!
Casey Peeler is a fabulous author and one of my favs! Every book pulls at my heart strings. Being from a small town, same area as Casey, I get so lost in her books and I can’t wait for more. Football is life in our neck of the woods and she definitely knocked this one out of the park!

Could not put down
I love reading about best friends and the best friends brother. I feel that in alot of country roots related books there are always a girl who doesn't know that she is in love with her best friend's brother. But I love how it ends and leaves you wanting more.

Beyond the Lights was a fun, sweet friends to lovers romance that had me hooked from the beginning. Sawyer the new coach for the local high school football team and Addie Mae the big time makeup artist out in Hollywood have known each other their whole lives and brought together by their love of hometown roots. Loved this book and didn't want it to end.
