When Ethan is called home for an unexpected wedding, all he can think about is the well-meaning women in his life trying to set him up with someone that will entice him to move back Texas. Settle down and get married and live a nice quiet life. Which is why he ends up asking Spencer, his best friend and roommate, to go as his date. Never mind that they aren’t dating, that Spence is definitely not interested in dating—his sisters have heard enough about him over the years that they might buy it. A week at home, pretending to date a guy he’s been in love with for three years? What could possibly go wrong?
Nazarea Andrews is an avid reader and tends to write the stories she wants to read. She loves chocolate and coffee almost as much as she loves books, but not quite as much as she loves her kids. She lives in south Georgia with her husband, daughters, and overgrown dog.
There's an old saying, you cant help who you fall in love with. Well for poor Ethan, the love of his life is his best friend and room Mate Spenser. The problem is. Spenser has no idea, PLUS he has a girlfriend. Ethan has to return home to Mason texas for his little sister's wedding. He's told that his mother has people that she wants to fix him up with. What does he do, he tells his family he has a boyfriend and HE'S GOING TO BRING HIM TO THE WEDDING!! One problem, there's no boyfriends. This book was amazing. Surprises all over and I loved it
What happens when your secret crush, becomes your relationship of convenience? MAYHEM! And perhaps a little magic. Blurred Lines is the stuff of romance novels. It's dreamy, cheesy and delicious entertainment. Ethan lost his heart, the moment her met Spencer. Unfortunately Spencer is clueless to the way Ethan feels. Or is he? Blurred Lines is a story about being true to one's heart despite the odds. Ms. Andrews is a positive force for equal rights in love and laughter. The surprises are endless and the romance is timeless.
This was a little different for me . I did not know going in what type of storyline this was going to be.It was interesting from the beginning to the end. It was enjoyable for this type of storyline. Ethan is going home for his sister's wedding. He tells her that he has a boyfriend and he will be bringing him there for the wedding. But little does he know that that is going to change the rest of his life.Spencer is his friend and friend only but he agrees to go to the wedding with him. By doing this both of their lives change. Very well written.
Having to go back to your home town can put you in a tight spot, especially with everyone trying to match you up with someone they think is good for you. Ethan tells his best friend Spencer and comes up with a plan to pretend to be in a relationship. Ethan knowing its a bad idea still goes ahead with the plan to just get closer to his secret crush, Spencer. A sweet story and a quick read to get you all swoony with these characters.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of the book.
This is only my second MM romance and I enjoyed it. Because of the length it felt a bit choppy at parts but it was so chock full of angst and emotion that I got over it. I'm a fan of fake relationships and this was a twist on the trope I hadn't experienced yet. It definitely opened my eyes to a whole new genre, and I'm interested to see how other authors portray their characters and relationships. 3 out of 5 wine glasses.
I was pulled right into this super short M/M story. The story has secrets, unexpected love, and heartbreak.
If you have not read the below I would recommend reading them first if you want the full stories of the wanted series as these novellas take place in the same series: Wanted (Wanted, #1) by Kelly Elliott Saved (Wanted, #2) by Kelly Elliott Faithful (Wanted, #3) by Kelly Elliott Believe: A Wanted Christmas (Wanted, #3.5) by Kelly Elliott Cherished (Wanted, #4) by Kelly Elliott A Forever Love (Wanted, #5) by Kelly Elliott The Wanted Short Stories by Kelly Elliott All They Wanted by Kelly Elliott
This is Ethan and Spencer’s story. Ethan must return home for his little sister’s wedding. His family wants him to move back home. He tells a fib about dating his roommate and best friend. Ethan has loved Spencer for a while, but problem is Spencer is not gay and is dating a woman. But pretending to love someone while hiding your feeling is made a little crazy when Spencer is pretending a little too good. Is it all really pretend or are all the feeling real and this might turn into something they both want for the future?
I felt I could connect with the characters and the story was a great read.
Oh very sneaky!!! I loved it. Ethan left Mason behindwith no intention of ever going on but his little sister is getting married and he can't deny her request of attending the wedding. Problem is he said he had a boyfriend and now he needs one..and he is also in love with his best friend Spencer, the very same guy who volunteered as fake boyfriend. Between the fake boyfriend and the meddling sisters, Ethan is in big trouble. Can he make it without screwing it all up? I loved both Ethan and Spencer. They are the opposite of each other and yet they get along so well. Ethan is broody and doesn't let many people in. Ethan is more open and friendly. It was a great story and it certainly surprised me.
I am in love with this sweet, sexy romance from Nazarea Andrews!
Ethan returns home for his sister's wedding and he needs a date, because he might have told his sister a tiny fib about a non-existent boyfriend. He asks his best friend, Spencer, to go. Ethan has had long simmering feelings for his best friend, but Spencer has a girlfriend. It really sucks when you love a guy who isn't gay. It sucks even more to have feelings and have to pretend you don't while you are pretending you do. Got all that?!
This is a really great, quick read! I'll let you read and find out what happens.
I didn't see that coming! What a sweet story, Ethan had run from his home ranch quite a few years earlier! He'd made a good life for himself, and had made some really good friends! But one of his sister's calls him, to come home as she's getting married.
I loved how Spencer, offered immediately to go with him, how he had his own ulterior motive, and the Ethan was too blind to see what was going on right I n front of him.
His family were great, a little overwhelming but great! I
I could definitely see where's the blurred lines were! And that they actually talked things through to find their own HEA.
Well when you little sister calls you to come home to her wedding you can't come without a date. Mason, Texas has his past and Ethan just doesn't know if he can come back, but his best friend Spencer is willing to help. Ethan is so afraid to finally allow his heart to have what it wants, Spencer. Spencer is his best friend and has a girl friend, does he have feelings for Ethan too? I love how this story unfolds and how two people try to overcome the past and move towards a future.
This is a new author to me and I will be reading more from her.
not enough details. What is going on thought/feeling-wise with each character? Is this part of a book series and previous books have the character background?! What do the MCs even look like? (Spencer has golden eyes ... and Ethan is probably pretty tall since Spencer calls him 'big guy' ... that's about it). How did Ethan and Spencer even meet?
Through out the book I kept wondering if I missed some sort of intro chapter that would make things make more sense. At the end I still felt like things weren't really settled between the MCs. I felt like this book was mostly ambiguous.
Friends-to-lovers and Secret-crushes are my guilty pleasure genre that I adore. They always make you root for the couple and enjoy every cringe-worthy moment that leads up to the hard earned HEA.
I adored this cheesy, funny, delicious Novella. I was kept on the edge of my seat, reading my kindle through the gap between my fingers as there were times I kept wanting to scream no......... don't be so silly! how can you not know? but it was oh so good!
I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Readers Copy of this book in exchange for an honest review from the Author and Inkslinger PR
I loved how Ethan came out stronger at the end of this novella with his best friend and the man he has been in love with for a long time, Spencer. The story was sweet, loving and it showed how pasts and secrets can or cannot break your future. Plus I got to see another glimpse of my favorite Wanted men.
Nice story about a guy Ethan, who has a crazy crush on his best friend Spencer, only problem is Spencer is not gay, or is he. Follow their story as they head to Texas for Ethan's sister's wedding and he brings Spencer as his +1!
I loved this book because it had a twist that the other wanted books don't and that is a gay relationship. I feel that it is important because there has to be a difference between the couples that thr books are about.
This book was really good. It was way different than the rest. It definitely had a twist that I was not expecting. It was a heartfelt read and one you won't forget. I felt for Nathan and it makes you root for them both!
I usually don't give this low of a rating, but I didn't even finish this one which is very unlike me as well. I'm not saying its bad and to not read it. I dont believe in doing that because everyone is different and their likes are different. This just wasnt my cup of tea.
WOW!! This was an amazing story! So emotionally packed it was hard to keep the tears in! I absolutely loved Ethan and Spencer! This was an amazing story! 5 Stars for sure!
I guess that what I get for not reading the sypothis. I was uncertain about this book in the beginning, but I kept reading and then didnt stop. Ugh, I loved this book!!
This book didn’t blow me away. It’s an M-M Romance, which I have never read before. I felt like the story line left something to be desired. Still a cute read though.
There's always a fear factor involved when going home after a long time away. A vast number of 'what ifs' that can plague a person. What if nothing's changed? What if everything's changed? What if you go home and home isn't 'home' anymore? Ethan Henry dreads going home, going back to Mason, Texas, but he has to and to avoid being set up with every single and available woman in town, in a moment of blind panic, Ethan declares that he has a boyfriend. Now he has to bring said boyfriend home. There's just one teensy, tiny, little problem. He doesn't have boyfriend. What he does have is Spencer. His best friend and roommate, a guy who has the biggest, kindest, most generous heart in the world and who doesn't see a problem in pretending to be Ethan's boyfriend on a trip home. After all, it's only pretend, right?
This book was so beautiful and made my heart hurt in such a good way. I absolutely adored reading it and highly recommend it. Blurred Lines is a great addition to the world of the Wanted series. Thanks to Nazarea Andrews, Kelly Elliott and InkSlinger PR for generously allowing me to read an advanced copy of Blurred Lines in exchange for a fair and honest review.
