I like the artstyle so much! It's outstanding making it so easy for me to read and enjoy the first volume.

I also watched the anime adaptation right after reading this volume.


4 🌟 for all that art because I am so impressed!

But yes, I didn't like the magic system that much. It wasn't that outstanding or interesting. But yes, fun enough to continue on with this volume.

I couldn't like the characters that much either.
They lacked development I say.

And yes, I didn't appreciate the unwanted PDA for nothing. Much needed chemistry isn't there.

It would have been much better with the characters focussing in their magical abilities. It was like they didn't have nothing much more to learn.

I don't want to continue with the series.

Erstmal zum Positivem: Der Manga enthält ein sehr schönes Lesezeichen in der ersten Auflage. 2 schöne Farbseiten sind auch enthalten.
Nun zum Mittelprächtigem: Der Zeichenstil war ganz nett. Eher comichaft, aber sowas gefällt mir. Allerdings sahen sich die Charaktere teils recht ähnlich und es gab auch sonst nicht viel Abwechslung in den Panels und Schauplätzen.
Tja und nun zum Rest. Ich konnte mit der Story und vor allem den Humor nichts anfangen. Die Story war langweilig. Ein total blöder, egoistische Kerl kommt als Lehrer an eine Schule, wo die Schüler teilweise auch echt heftig arrogant sind und gar nicht wie Schüler wirken. Ich will ehrlich gesagt gar nichts weiter dazu sagen, weil es mir wirklich nicht gefallen hat und ich es nicht empfehle, obwohl ich da wohl recht allein mit meiner Meinung dastehe.
Der Humor war, wie schon erwähnt, gar nicht meins. Es war viel zu albern und übertrieben. Ne, das war nichts.

Auf Deutsch bei Tokyopop erschienen
Sistines Lieblingslehrer an der Magieakademie wird plötzlich ersetzt. Von einem faulen und nervigen Möchtegernmagier. Das muss ein Alptraum sein. Nicht nur, dass Glenn Radars gar keine Lust hat die Schüler und Schülerinnen zu unterrichten, er kann selbst nicht einmal die einfachsten Zauber ausführen geschweige denn jemandem beibringen. Als dann auch noch die Schule überfallen wird scheint es keinen Ausweg mehr zu geben. Oder? Na, das solltet ihr schon selber lesen, aber eins kann ich verraten. Es wird spannend, actionreich und unfassbar lustig.
Im Auftakt zu Akashic Records passieren einige spannende Dinge und auch Geheimnisse kommen in der Geschichte nicht zu kurz. Da bekommt man auf jeden Fall Lust weiterzulesen. Noch dazu ist die Reihe sehr schick und wirklich urkomisch. Fantasy, Comedy und Action also. Was will man mehr.

I’ve got to say….. I liked it a lot! I was very impressed with the art, shading, thicker lines, curves, eye expressions and attention to the little details. I love that in an artist. I do gotta say I was hesitant at the beginning and then got hooked after the 19th page after I bursted out laughing.
I did like the part of him coming out of his shell after talking to Rumia about Sistine and that tender moment. Typical Manga moment but I love those moments. I wish there was a little bit more action but I’m guessing there will be more soon in the next volume.
I think this I going to be a great series to read and if you like a little spice/attitude with magic/fantasy this book series I think is for you!

First volume of 2023, and it's been a long time coming! I've had volumes 1 & 2 for so long, but I wanted more before I started! Lucky for me, my family got me up to vol.14!!!!
Really loved reliving this series so far, I vaugly remember the anime, so it's giving me some nostalgia feelings as I turn the pages!
Can't wait to read more!
