Seduced by Flames was a captivating mystery that was jam-packed full of suspenseful scenes and a few smoldering ones as well. Ms. Day keeps you guessing throughout the entire book as to who has caused all of the trouble. The story begins with Nessa, a dragon shifter, caught in a mine explosion. She manages to free herself with the help of her team and faces questions from Kyle Hunter who is investigating the accident. It doesn’t take long to determine that something isn’t right. What was right was the relationship between these main characters. They were a perfect match. I loved this book and couldn’t turn the pages fast enough, but I also didn’t want the story to end. I hope to hear more from these two characters and can’t for the next book.

Holy Hotness! Must wear gloves ;) This 2nd novel, "Seduced By Flames" is another brand new release that IMHO tops her 1st 'Hidden Realms' world, phenomenal 5-star must-read, 'Awakened by Flames' :D Ms. Day has her own fantastic flair with words & descriptions that breathes life into her amazing characters, as she takes readers along on a thrilling roller-coaster ride! ... Every book I've read that she's penned, has been a perfect blend of smoking hot romance, suspense and edge-of-your-seat action! ... This grabbed me right from the 1st page & held on tight the whole way through the book! ... I just didn’t want to stop reading whenever I had to, and then hurried to get back to reading more ;) ... I always count on her fresh new plots, well-defined & relatable characters, and the awesome protags, (the H/h witty dialogue) that can either bring tears to my eyes or make me laugh out loud ;) ... I highly recommend this to adult fans who choose today's new contemporary fiction genres like romance, PNR paranormal, shifters, UF, fantasy, sci-fi and more! I know you all will be engaged & turning pages like I did! ... Even tho I volunteered to read this, I also preordered my own kindle copy a month ago. So these are my honest feelings without any outside influences, and now I can’t wait for more! (In fact, I already have the next one preordered ;)

Welcome back to the Hidden Realms of Silver Lake. Tarradon is a parallel world to our own. Shifters, witches and humans live, work and thrive together. Sometimes not so easily or peacefully. In Tarradon there is a mining company comprised of the Sinclair and Caspian families. The Sinclairs and the Caspians are dragon shifters. Nessa Caspian is the explosives/demolition expert for her family. She teaches explosive safety and keeps the mines safe for dragons and humans. This book opens with Nessa almost 200 feet down in a mine shaft. She knows that there is a gold mother lode nearby. There is an explosion and Nessa is buried in the mine. Her dragon shifts and protects her but she must help herself.
After digging her way partially out exhausted and near collapse she is brought out by mine workers and her family. Close to being unconscious, she is struck by a feeling of instant lust, what is that smell. A human, could a human be her destined mate? Oh no, it is the mine inspector, Kyle Hunter.
Can they work together to find out who is sabotaging the mine? Can she convince Kyle that they are made for each other? Who is endangering Nessa and her family?
This is a good book. You will not want to put it down. Great characters, compelling story and it is a page turner. I am loving this series.

Ms Day could sneeze and produce a good book! This one has got all the makings of a great book. There is danger, intrigue, hot times and scary times. It comes complete with a surprise ending. I could not put it down till I finished.

Seduced by Flames is a blazingly hot PNR read. This 2nd book in the Hidden Realms of Silver Lake is a fabulous addition to the series. In Tarradon, there is a mining company comprised of the Sinclair and Caspian families. In book 2, we have the story of Nessa and Kyle. This can be a standalone but better enjoyed if you have read Book 1. Nessa is a dragon shifter and is the security expert and she has the magic that only her great grandfather had, she can feel the metals with just feeling the rock formations in the mines. Then we have Kyle, a human and mine inspector whose sister has been the victim of an abusive dragon-shifter boyfriend. When these two meet the attraction is literally intense and one that sizzles because theirs is so blazing hot. Kyle is assigned to investigate a series of mishaps at Nessa's family's mine, the latest one which almost killed Nessa. Can Nessa and Kyle work together to figure out who the villain is and can Kyle accept that he is Nessa’s mate? Or will Kyle let his hate towards dragon ruin the best thing to ever happen for them both ?

Problem is she can't risk sending anyone down into the mines because of safety issues which have been plaguing them recently. When she decides to prove herself to her father, she never expected a blast that would bury deep in the mine.

Vella done it again. I just loved Nessa and Kyle. They had this amazing chemistry. Fate was pulling them together which was sort of funny since there were sort of enemies in a way. Here Nessa was a dragon shifter who helped with her father’s mine and Kyle was an inspector who was human, had a sister who hated dragon shifters, and wanted to close the mine due to safety reasons.
I loved how close Nessa was to her family and we really get to see it once again in this story.
I love how open minded Kyle was. He did not really share his sister hate. I love how he saw how much the hate was eating his sister up. Kyle was this sexy man who had a good heart and was very open minded. Though he wondered how shadow he was. I don’t feel he was shadow at all.
I love that though Nessa and Kyle had their fears about acting on their feelings they just plunged into things so to speak. There is danger and in this story we get to see Vella’s creativity once again.
It looks like someone is after Kyle and Nessa and the question is can they find out who is behind this danger and be able to keep each other safe.
My heart truly broke for Kyle’s sister but I love how Vella gives us this little hope that everything is going to be okay.
Truly a great story and glad I got a chance to read the book.

The man who is sent to shut down your family's mine happens to be your mate
What more do I need to say and then he hates dragon shifters let the craziness begin. Nessa is a dragon shifter while out to find gold that will help her family Nessa gets trapped in the mine. This was not the first accident that happened at the Caspian's mine. These two butt heads and it doesn't help that Nessa knows that he is her mate.
Nessa is very attracted to him and often has to keep her dragon in check. Kyle is also attracted to her but he doesn't want to admit It especially with him and his sister Lily hating dragons so much.
Once these two get together you need a fire extinguisher to kill the flames. The big question is is someone trying to ruin the Caspians mines. Do Nessa and Kyle get their happily ever after. Can they figure out whom is behind the sabotage. Loved this story.

Nessa Caspian is a safety expert for her families mines, Kyle Harper closes mines. A match made in heaven? For all intents and purposes, no. But together they will form a tentative alliance to find a mutual enemy.
This, the second book in the ‘Hidden Realms of Silver Lake’ series, can be read as a stand-alone novel, although I would suggest the books read in order – especially for any fans of Vella Day. As expected, from Ms Day, the story flows from chapter to chapter until the reader is lost in the twists and turns of an entertaining read. With a hero and heroine you’ll be rooting for throughout the story, to the background characters you will desire to know more about, this book is completely compelling.
Another 5 out of 5, from Ms Day. Definitely worth reading and recommended by myself, an avid reader of the paranormal, fantasy and romance genres.

Awesome Dragon Shifter romance
Nissan is a dragon shifter, a safety expert with SinCas Gem and Matal Corporation who was caught in a sabotage in the mine. The insurance adjuster is a human named Kyle. While trying to solve the sabotage of Nessa's family corporation, Nissan realizes Kyle is her mate. Now make him realizes it too, while trying to protect her tramazed sister who hates dragon shifters.
This fast paced drama has many vivid scene which are breathtaking. The main characters are unique, sexy, and intriguing. I love the interesting concepts of dragons and other shifters in a realm connected by three other realm kind of over lapping earth with portal to earth. I will have to read more of the series that related to these realms.
Highly recommended.

Great addition to the adventurous dragon shifter series. The series is set in another realm but Earth does play a part ever so often. This story has a lot of action and detective work. There is someone behind attacks on the mines and people. The two main characters must work together to protect each other and solve the mystery. Add in the overwhelming attraction between them and things explode when they get together. Love the depth of determination that Nessa, a dragon shifter, has for protecting others and her family’s business. Kyle, a human with a deep distrust of dragons, is dedicated to doing his job. Can’t wait for the next book.

DNF. Wanted to like it, but couldn’t get past his bigotry. Obviously this is fiction and the group he’s bigoted against aren’t even real, but it just hits a little too close to home in this day and age. I’m guessing by the end he’s realized that he was wrong, but I just really can’t stand people who make those kinds of decisions in the first place. One dragon shifter hurt your sister so that means all of them can’t be trusted? They’re all evil and dangerous? Like the lack of logic there can’t really be made up for in my book, even if they change their mind later on. And for a love interest? Yeah that’s a no go for me.

A fantastic, well thought out, well planned mystery which leaves you guessing all the way through. This book will have you frustrated trying to work out a novel 'who don' it' scenario all the while giving the reader the right balance of shifter romance and passion. Not every book has to have the fairytale girl meets boy and boy meets girl true romance scenario and Vella certainly doesn't fall back on the norm. This dragon has to work for her mate through prejudice and family heart ache.

This story was very good. Nessa was a dragon who found her mate in Kyle (a human). He was an investigator for the mines her family owned. After an explosion, they became quite close. There were quite a few attempts on their lives and the story moved along very quickly. When they finally mated, he became a dragon and loved it. The story was quite good and it had some hotness to it that was well written.
I received this book as an ARC for an honest review. I enjoyed it as I do most of Vella day's books.

Such a good book! A shifter romance that perfectly blends romance, mystery, drama, passion and steamy heat. A well written, entertaining and enjoyable plot keeps you engaged with no difficulty. Storyline reads easily. Are main characters are Nessa, dragon shifter and safety expert and Kyle, human, mine inspector and severe distrust of dragon shifters. When these two meet the attraction is off the charts and the chemistry sizzles. If you enjoy shifter stories you'll want to grab this one. It was pure pleasure to read. I'm posting a completely honest, voluntary review after reading this book.

Kyle is the investigator in charge of finding who is responsible for the sabotage. Add to the mix that they are true mates. Can they find the responsible person or persons before another accident and can Nessa get Kyle to accept that they are fated mates? I highly recommend this book.

What happens when you meet your fated mate but his sister hates dragon shifter That's what happens to Nessa when she meets Kyle Hunter. She is the mine safety officer for her families mines and she has just buried herself in an explosion gone wrong he is the mine inspector. the only luck she has is all bad, her mine has a cave in and is sealed off. he blocks her reopening her mine. she is a dragon shifter who knows he is her mate. he hates dragons as they nearly killed his sister. he is in 2 minds part of wants nothing to do with her while the rest wants her so bad. how will this end? only one way to find out

Wow, this story was Gr8. I'm used to reading how it'the male who's a shiftier & the female is human. This is the otherway around. Nessa is a dragon shifter that's tough and somewhat of a tomboy. Kyle is human & hates dragon shifters. Someone's trying to kill them & they're trying to work out being mates. I recommend this read. 5 Thumbs up

The second book and I did not want to stop reading, there is danger, suspense, action, flooding, mine collapses. A well-written story that kept me wanting to know what was going to happen. This is the second book in the series and it just keeps getting better I just loved Nessa and Kyle they were super characters and had tons of chemistry.He is human and is the inspector of the mine that Dragon shifter Nessa's family own.I just loved that he did not let his sisters hate for them affect his opinion of them.This was a really good book and held my interest all the way through

I would give this book more than 5 stars if I could. This whole series is incredible. As soon as I finish one book I need the next. The storyline and characters just keep getting better and better.

This story is excellent. Love Nessa and Kyle. Couldn't put it down. I absolutely needed to find out who was responsible for what was happening. A total shock when I did. I highly recommend reading this story.
