They say magic is only science we don’t understand yet. A century from now we understand full well - science creates magic. And magic is destructive…

She’s been hunted all her life. Now it’s time to become the hunter.

Chloe Phantom has never been able to settle for long. At least, not since she was a girl. Living up to the promise she made to her genius father, just a week before he was killed in a fire at his lab, she’s been on the move for years. And worst of all, she doesn’t know exactly why.

All she knows is that her father made her different. That the nanotech he put inside her is giving her magical powers and keeping her safe. And that the people who killed her father are now after her too.

And some of them aren’t exactly human…

Caught between the four new nations of a divided, future America, Chloe has found some semblance of peace in the deep ‘earthscrapers’ of LA, filling her days in the depths working menial jobs and trying to dodge the soldiers of the powerful WSA (Western States of America), and the terrifying nano-vamps that hunt people just like her.

But deep inside her there’s a need to discover the truth of her past. And when her identity is exposed, and her hunters begin closing in once more, Chloe knows she needs help if she’s ever going to unravel the mystery.

She is the last in her bloodline. The last Phantom. And soon enough, when all seems lost, help will come from the most unexpected of places…

The Last Phantom is the first in a planned series, a thrilling mixture of sci-fi dystopia and urban fantasy, filled with civil strife, war, science, magic, heart-felt romance, and a host of weird and wonderful characters.

Love this science fiction story

The last phantom is a dystopian story of America after a war has split the country into 4 new countries, each with their own government.
It a pilot of a longer series, that introduces the main character by giving us their backgrounds and showing us how they all meet. It’s also an introduction to the world itself. All in all it’s a brilliantly written book, with a unique world and lots, and lots of action and drama. The main female character is a strong independent woman, forced to grow up and fight for her life, before she are out of her teenage years. The world itself are has a unique solution to over population with the utilization of building down, instead of just building up. It shows us a unique perspective on a new world order, very similar to the one we have today, but brought to an extreme with no solutions to poverty and clear boundaries between classes. It’s not a love story, but love are hinted to come in the following books.
The narrated version are also warmly recommend, since the narrator are fantastic in bringing out the uniqueness of each of the characters.
I am looking forward to reading/listening to the rest of this book series, and can warmly recommend it for fans of fantasy and Science fiction.
I received the audio version of this book for free, and since I liked the book very much, I am leaving a voluntary review. I also read the ebook version by use of KU, to get a second look at the books many details. Both versions are warmly recommended.

“If you spot her, turn the other way, they said. Don’t take a picture. Don’t call the authorities. Just forget she was ever there. Or you may not live to regret it…” Can’t you believe I let this book series sit and collect dust in my want-to-read list for so long? Me either. This story was fantastic in every way imaginable. There’s advanced high technology, sci-fi, action, and a hint of romance. Chloe damn Phantom is a force to be reckoned with, only nineteen years old, has the weight of the world on her shoulders when her father dies in a lab explosion, and what’s left of his research is inside of her, hidden from those who wish to take it. T.C Edge gave me something to look forward to, falling for characters like Ragan Hunt and Remus and the Phantom herself, this is the first I’ve read from this author and it takes me to exhilarating new heights. Though it was a slow build, I was captivated from the start. “The higher you got, the closer to the world you felt.”

Fast paced Dystopia novel

This story is captivating and you will not be able to put it down. Chloe is someone you can identify with, she is on the run because of who and what she is. Enter Ragan the man contracted to find her and bring her back alive. They are more alike than they know and while this is not a love story there are some romantic elements in this book. Primarily this story hinges on futuristic advancements in technology and the war between nations to command that technology. What is the life of one innocent worth against the fate of many? Read this book and you will soon find out.

Excellent Sci Fi Dystopia / Urban Fantasy - YA
This book has it all - cloak and dagger, high-tech sci fi, nanotechnology, government agents, genius scientists, a teenage superhuman, secret societies, and even a nanovampire
TC Edge might be my new fave author. He does a stellar job setting up this world, developing the characters, and telling an exciting story. I can't wait to see what else he has that I've missed and listen to the rest of this series when it comes out.
This book would appeal to fans of many genres and it's well-written enough that it would appeal to all ages.

Phantom

The beginning of this book is very slow. I almost stopped reading halfway through. The last half of the book is were is good stuff starts.
Chloe Phantom is a strong young girl with lots of problems. Being hunted and chased by many different people makes for a great adventure. Then comes the twist with Ragan, which I didn’t see coming. I did enjoyed this book once I got past the first few chapters. The first half of the book being slow could just be me.

I have the box set of this series and part one introduces Chloe Phantom, daughter of a genius scientist, in world where technology, greed and lust for power rules. She's been hunted for what her father gave her...

I enjoyed the fast pace, the array of intriguing characters, the action and Chloe's journey.

Worth reading.

I am loving the series. I’m writing this review after completing books one and two. I don’t have book 3, but I definitely need to see about getting it.I love Chloe and Reagan and their connection. Even the evil nanovamp is a cool character. Love to hate him.
This book is clean and would be good for teens and adults.
Narration by Justin Vitovsky was excellent.

Exciting story.

This is my first book from this author and it did not disappoint me. It had all the essentials; a really evil bad guy, a reluctant heroine and a likeable sidekick.

Innovative and thoght provoking.

Interesting concept and use of nanites. I'm liking Chloe and Ragan, and as a couple. But I love little Remus. A potent team.

Exhilarating read

Well once again Edge never fails to impress me, after reading the Enhanced world books I thought I would give the Phantom series a go.

Right from the beginning I was drawn in, I wasn't able to put it down. So much is happening within a short space of time but Edge blends it all together really well.
Chloe and Ragan are strong protagonists, I enjoyed the twists and turns that surround their meeting of each other. Especially, when not everything is what it seems.

I cannot wait to read the next one. I would recommend this book to anyone who has read any of the Enhanced word series!
