The Progressive Gene: How Genetics Influence the Morality of the Left

Rate this book
The Progressive Gene fuses the idea of a universal, genetically determined personal and social morality with the expression of that morality in the individual’s political philosophy. Although this connection extends to and encompasses society as a whole, the book focuses on the far left of the political spectrum, where the Progressives reside.

Excellent read for anyone interested in government and politics. Mr. Anderson has created a very readable survey of historical events beginning with the development of Greek and Roman political systems and its ongoing influence on our government and political parties. The historical look back at how we have evolved politically and how the progressive movement impacted our government is remarkable. I am looking forward to his next book which focuses on conservatives.

This author takes us on a journey through hundreds of years of changing political parties and philosophies. His contention is that Progressives have become genetically programmed to favor greater governmental control of our lives. Supported by solid research and presented effectively with thought-provoking ideas and compelling arguments to support his premise.
