Dr. Devon Pierce is being framed for the murder of his wife who died six years ago. Colby Agency Investigator Bella Lytle is on the case to clear his name. I didn't really connect much with Bella and Devon, and the romance side of the story didn't do much for me. Also, Devon's S&M plotline didn't work for me and seemed out of place in this book. The suspense side of the story was better and did keep me interested and made this book an enjoyable enough read.

Dr. Devon Pierce is being tormented by someone who is trying to recreate the death of his wife from six years earlier. This person also seems to want to frame him for some sort of crime. The Colby Agency sends in private investigator Bella Lytle to find out who it might be.

While the plot doesn't bear such close scrutiny, this manages to be a decent thriller. It was all very silly, but still enjoyable. I'm not sure about the S&M aspect - Devon feels like he needs to be punished over his wife's death. Or something. I didn't quite buy it. I suspect Webb was trying to make this book sexier than the usual Intrigue offering. But I never read the books or watched the movies of 50 Shades Of Grey, and S&M holds little interest for me. But to be fair, the sex scenes themselves stopped short of actually involving any real S&M material.

Also, I'm not sure why Devon even needed a private investigator. He certainly had no trouble finding out every last detail of Bella's history, such as the fact her sister killed their abusive father! Why is he not using these super duper advanced investigative skills to solve his own mystery? Obviously, we wouldn't have a book, but you know, just a liiiiiittle credibility can help matters!

Indeed, with the sexier angle, this felt a lot like one of those erotic movies you got a lot in the 90s that played on TV late at night. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing! It kept me involved from beginning to end.

Someone is trying to frame Dr Devon Pierce for murder. They are doing a very good job of it too. Colby Agent Isabella Lytle is investigating.

This is a very erotic romance more so than Debra’s usual books. It also has a mystery that will grab you from the first page. This is part of the Colby Agency series. I haven’t read all of the Colby books and I feel like this could be read as a stand alone. A great read for the beach. Thank you to the author for an advanced copy.

Dr. Devon Pierce wife died from a tragic car accident over 6 years ago. He tried to save her, but even as a skilled physician, he was not able to. When a woman comes into his hospital who looks similar to his wife and with his wife's ID, he knows it is time to call the Colby Agency. Bella Lytle is assigned to his case. The cops believe Dr. Pierce has something to hide and find his deceased wife's journal. Now, they believe he had motive for his wife's death. The bodies start piling up and the evidence (or lack thereof) point to Dr. Pierce. Devon and Bella are determined to find out who is behind this while also trying to deal with their attraction and their past skeletons.

I thoroughly enjoyed the book from the first page to the last page. The book had great character development, a great suspense plot, a few unexpected twist and turns, and several hot and steamy sex scenes. It was nice to read a suspense/thriller without the gore. It was also nice to read steamy sex scenes that made sense and not just thrown in a book just to add sex in it. I look forward to reading the next book in the series.

Sin and Bone
Debra Webb

I have to admit that this one I had pegged from the start...WRONG! Debra has a way of making you think it is one way when actually it isn’t. That’s why after I put it down to finish the next day I had to pick it up and read until I finished it.
A fantastic storyteller who creates a web of intrigue, love, and characters who will have you drawn in from the first word to the last.
Devon and Isabella are a perfect fit for each other. Two of my favorite in this Colby Agency:Sexy-ER.
I highly recommend Sin and Bone.

This is a sizzling Colby Agency book in which Dr. Devon Pierce, the founder and head of The Edge emergency center is having his life turned upside down by someone. Starting with the supposed appearance of his long-dead wife Cara in his ER, the action is non-stop. The bodies pile up as do the clues as to what is really happening. The sizzle is between Dr. Pierce and his protector, Isabella Lytle. She has to discover all of Devon’s secrets so that she knows how to protect him, but she may be putting herself in the crosshairs of a deranged killer by spending so much time with Devon. This book is q quick-read from Harlequin Intrigue and will be available at all your favorite booksellers on June 1, 2018.

Thank you Debra Webb for the ARC of Sin and Bone that I read and reviewed.
What to say about this book except that it was Hot! There were some parts in this book that were hot enough I was worried that my fingers were going to burn or I was going to need a cold shower whichever came first. The chemistry between Devon and Bella was off the charts. Now that I have everyone wondering what Debra Webb was writing about I will say this book was very good.
I enjoyed the story and as I mentioned before the romance. I found the suspense part of the book well written and there was a lot of intrigue in this second instalment at this newest Colby Agency book.
Sin and Bone gets five out of five stars from me.

Devon Pierce, M.D. is the head of a state of the art Emergency Dept. He is ready to leave one day when he's called to the E.D. to see a badly Injured patient who looks suspiciously like his wife, who has been dead for 6 years. Isabella Lytle works for the Colby Agency and, is sent to investigate this puzzle and be Dr. Pierce's bodyguard until the case is solved. The two are immediately attracted to each other, which only makes the problem worse because, Devon is hiding something that Isabella is determined to find out.
There are quite a few suspects in this mystery and, it will take quite a while to figure out exactly who desperately wants Devon out of the picture and, Isabella, if she gets in their way!

Although I have several of the author's books on my TBR pile, this is the first of her books that I have actually read. Dr Devon Pierce contacts the Colby Agency after several attempts at gaslighting him, by parties unknown, regarding the death of his wife. His sole purpose in life has been to create the Edge, a state-of-the-art emergency center and someone is trying to destroy his reputation. Could it be one of his 2 ex-partners or his deceased wife's lover, whom he had not even known existed until after she had died in an auto accident and he was unable to save her. Isabella Lytle is assigned to his case, and of course, she has her own issues. While the book is correctly characterized as INTRIQUE, and the mystery person out to get Devon doesn't care about collateral damage, making it an exciting read, I found the development of the main characters fell flat, and could not connect with them at all.

I just love Debra Webb's books and this one was no exception..Dr Pierce is trying to be brought down by an enemy..but is it really an enemy or his ex partner in The Edge? He calls The Colby Agency and Victoria sends Bella to help him out...There is so much going on..the book hops and fast..YOu are going down the path thinking that it is the partner that is trying to make Devon look bad. The police are a holes to him. they think he is capable of murder at every turn...Meanwhile Bella and Devon are becoming so very close..When Bella figures out that it is not the partner that did it she follows the one person you think not capable of murder..That was a twist for me and I was blown away..such a great book..Can't wait to read the next one!

Dr. Devon Pierce has spent his career building a state of the art ER Hospital. When he is paged that he is needed in the ER that his wife is a patient he knows something is wrong. The woman there looks like his wife and is carrying a drivers license with her picture and name but Dr. Pierce knows it can't be. His wife died 5 years before. When he hires the Colby Detective Agency to find out what is going on it just keeps getting wierder.
The suspense keeps ratcheting up at a fast pace. The only part of the story I don't care for is the explicit sex scenes. I have never been able to understand why they have to be so explicit. I have no problem with some sex in a book I just don't think it has to be blow by blow so to speak.

That is the only reason I didn't give it a 4 star rating.

First i did not interest with this author's works. But since i read this book, i started to like her. In the beginning i was afraid with the tendency Dr Devon in his sex life. But i was happy that the heroine was a strong woman but good for hero that she changed his negative self belief and his way of pain with sex. I was shocked because this was my first time read intrigue books from Harlequin that exposed a little bit room with sex plays and strong emotion between hero and heroine was deeply described not only solve the crimes like any others Harlequin books.

Debra Webb is flexing her romance muscles in the latest Colby Agency novel, Sin and Bone. These Sexi-er series have been more steamy than some of her earlier works, but still classic Webb. Devon and Bella are perfectly matched. The mystery was well-developed and kept you guessing throughout. You can easily read this one without reading the first in this mini-series, but why would you want to?

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this novel.

What can you say about Debra Webb but WOW? Sin and Bone is a romance with erotic parts that will have you heading for a very cold shower. A story of a lost love and of revenge against a doctor who is still in pain over the lost of his wife and the betray of what she did. Add in a beautiful Investigator and murder and you have a gripping romance.

This book reacquaints us with Dr Devon Pierce, whom we met in FINDING THE EDGE, which by the way, if you haven’t read, grab a copy immediately! The suspense starts at first page and keeps the reader riveted till last sentence. I highly recommend this and all books by Debra Webb. She’s THAT good!!!

This is the 2nd book in the Sexi-ER Colby Agency books. Dr. Pierce's life is turned upside down when he is paged to the ER for his wife, Cara. Except it is a look alike because his real wife has been dead for six years. He involves the Colby Agency for protection and they assign Bella to his case. As the case gets more involved, so do Dr. Pierce and Bella. Another great story!

I enjoyed this intriguing romance. I voluntarily chose to review this and I've given this a 4.5* rating. Because of sexual content, this is not for the under 18 readers. I was a little disappointed in the type of sexual content used in this story but like how the heroine turned it a little different way. Lots of twists and turns in this and a bit of surprise at the ending. A good ending to this.

Debra Webb is one of my favorite authors, if not my most favorite. I received an ARC for my honest review.
This book didn’t let me down. I’ve only read a few of the Colby books but enjoyed it all the same. She did not let me down. Lots of suspense that had me turning pages until the end.
