Everyone knows the first rule of friends-with-benefits is you don't fall for your friend.

There are a million reasons I shouldn't be messing around with Claudia: we're best friends, we work together, her dad is my boss, and I'm moving out of state in a few weeks. But none of that seems to matter when we hook up at my sister's wedding. It's the best sex I've ever had. I'd have to be crazy not to keep it going.

We've both got too much on our plates to commit to anything more than a friends-with-benefits arrangement. And believe me, those benefits are way too good to resist. So good in fact, that I'm starting to regret my plans to move away. But how do I let her know that I want to stay when I promised her no strings attached sex? And if I tell her the truth, will I lose my best friend, too?

Liz Lincoln has been concocting stories as long as she can remember, and from the beginning they involved two people falling in love. She also writes under the not-even-a-little-bit-secret identity of Eliza Madison.

When she’s not writing, Liz spends her time rooting for the UW Badgers and the Green Bay Packers (or yearning and embroidering for the return of football season), cross-stitching sassy sayings or nerdy characters (Wonder Woman is her favorite), and drinking too much Diet Coke.

She lives in Milwaukee, WI, with her husband, two kids, two cats, and a turtle.

Okay I guess I’m in the minority, but I LOVED this book. Listening on Scribd brought the story to life.

Friends to lovers trope/friends with benefits
Claudia and AJ are best friends and when AJ and his girlfriend of 4 years break up, they start to discover this underlying chemistry between the two of them. What started out as an innocent kiss at a party quickly spirals into more and I was here for the ride.

They are so comfortable around each other and even as friends with benefits there was this sense of intimacy and love from the start.

When the parents walk in on them having sex I legit gasped and started laughing out loud.

They were just perfect together and I love that this plot didn’t have any silly misunderstandings.

Even though this was a friends with benefits trope, I felt the love between the two from the beginning. It was just so well done.

4/5 🌶️

Not because the main Character was Cláudia (my name sake 😜🤭)

But this was the best story from the sequele, less drama.

Claudia and AJ did have chemistry and I liked how they handled their relationship. The fact that the break was mutual understanding made it even beter, coz usually the characters have some huge drama and say mean things then breakup, but this was way different so I really enjoyed it. 👍🏽

Couldn't finish it, it was so boring - friends to lovers, doesnt really ever give us a chance to beleive they're friends and just ridiculous with all the vegan slander at the start of the book to the point were it seemed like we were supposed to find burger and pizza breath an enticing idea.

I only selected this book because Winston James was narrating. Then I read the description and it seemed to be written from the MMC perspective, it wasn’t. Not enough of James Winston. His voice…chef’s kiss! But I live a good friends to lovers trope.

This is Book 5 of the Milwaukee Men at Work Series!

Everyone knows the first rule of friends-with-benefits: never fall for your friend. Claudia and AJ are living that rule… or at least trying to. Best friends, coworkers, and tangled in family ties, they agree on one thing—no strings attached.

That all changes at AJ’s sister’s wedding. The chemistry between them ignites into unforgettable, mind-blowing heat that neither can ignore. Suddenly, what started as casual fun turns complicated. AJ is moving out of state, their friendship is on the line, and neither knows how to navigate the line between pleasure and love.

This is a sizzling, slow-burn romance full of witty banter, passionate encounters, and emotional tension. It’s about learning when to risk your heart for the person you’ve always wanted, even if it means breaking your own rules.

⭐️ Friends-to-lovers
🔥 Steamy, addictive chemistry
💔 Friendship + desire collide

I absolutely loved this book.. It was charming, funny and romantic. I loved the play on words Durdee and Dirty Work, that was perfect. Claudia and AJ young adults just making their way in the world after college. They had great chemistry and played off each other well. On both sides their siblings played comic relief and were entertaining. The sex was hot!!! A great fun read. I voluntarily received an Advanced Readers Copy of this book.

A friends with benefits story that will keep you on an emotional roller coaster. Claudia was his best friend, his boss's daughter and his office worker. So many reasons to keep it as benefits only and not let feelings get in the way. What happens when their feelings develop into more than originally planned. Do they go forward and are they able to keep their friendship. No spoiler here. I read an advance copy and voluntarily chose to write a review.

Does the friends with benefits sitch ever work out? Claudia & AJ are about to find out when they throw themselves head first into a hot sweaty mess. They'd been close friends for four years throughout college so how's this gonna work?

Wow this was so much fun!! I love them both and had a blast!

This book to me would have been much better if it wasn't all about sex. I felt no chemistry between to two main characters it was hard to keep reading it. If they would of had more of a backstory on their friendship then it also would have been better.
