A Voice He Knew: that changed him forever by Janesh Bakshi is a motivational and inspirational story book that tells you a story of a through a series of about 29 poems connected with a line or two in the middle.
The book tells you a story of a man who embarks on a journey of self discovery. How, through the conflicts of his conscious mind and inner voice, he tackles self doubts, fears and the alikes. And how it can change lives.
"Perhaps a skillful artist
Fear knows how to play
With your senses at it's helm
It finds a place to stay
Having your mind at its disposal
It eerily carves a way
Into the realms of your life
And you give up in dismay
In the very same fashion
Like a predator eats its prey"
Honestly I did not have much expectation from the book because accept it, poetry is hard. And previously I did not have much of a good luck with self published poetry books. But these set of poems surprised me in a good way.
The poems rhymed but it was not over done . All the poems were quite fresh and they did not at all seem monotonous. The poems definitely soothes your poetry seeking soul and your tongue, if you read them aloud. Also, the book is very quotable.
"His inner voice:
Your notion of love
Is a tad too obscure
Tales of the past
Can never make you sure
That love manifests itself
Only in stories that you adore
On the contrary, it seeks you
While you delude into this lure
Trust me! Love is real
Your delusion is not the cure"
The only change I would have liked in the book was its cover. The cover does nothing to pull you in. A book like this with so much potential needs a well done cover.
A Voice He Knew was a quick read and took me about 20 mins to finish it. A book you can try as an in-between read or whenever you are in a mood for some good poetry.

While striving to become someone else, we tend to forget our own self. We even leave our conscience somewhere behind. We get so busy in running behind materialistic things that even a slightest failure of not getting what we wished for, brings a feeling of failure and resentment. This motivational poetry book by the author "Janesh Bakshi" is a guide to all those, who are somewhere lost in their path. It will make you re-think and introspect your inner self. It will lead us to think in a different way, which will ultimately be a guide to all the other questions. I will really suggest everyone to read this poetry book "A Voice He Knew" by Janesh Bakshi, as the message contained in it will really inspires you throughout your life !!!

Janesh Bakshi seeks to provide a doze of motivation in his book named A Voice He Knew. There are dialogues between the poetic self and his inner voice in most parts of the book. The poetic self was confused and vulnerable in the start, but with the discovery of inner voice, there is new found strength, hope and power to curb the fear and gain success. The poems and abstracts in the book calls for a celebration of life amidst hard times and to recognise the power of one's inner voice.

I really enjoyed reading this work. If you're new to reading poetry, choose this book because of its easy language and clarity of thoughts. The readers would definitely be filled with optimism and would develop a new perception towards life after reading these poems.

Ever felt deluded or bogged down by the hustle bustle of life ? I think all of us are at one point of time , intimidated by life. This book deals with such an experience and how the author befriends his inner voice to guide him through the qualms of life. The clear subtle message that the author puts forth is that we make mistakes but are not defined by them through out life , we are uplifted and healed once we evoke our inner voice that lays in slumber until we awake it with jolts .
The book can be easily finished in a single sitting and then can be enjoyed often at tea and when ever we need a light reminder to steer calmly through life. It is a poetry book comprising 51 pages. There are stanzas that exude the importance of peace in one's head and encourages to let go the emotional turmoil.
I really enjoyed the book and I am really thankful to the author for sending me this book that is a sort of self help book as well. You can call it a poetry book or self help book but what is intact is it's enlighting tendency in the quagmire of life.
