Okay, I might not read this book cover to cover in a diligent fashion, but I peruse it constantly. I love the details it gives so that I can plan adventures in advance, and have a good sense of where I'm going and what I'll experience. Several of these hikes are ones that I wouldn't have known about otherwise - which opens up all kinds of new possibilities.

Forget it. Don't bother. Oh, wait a minute . . . If you want to check out some of the most boring trails--ones that are so trod they look like dirt roads and pretty much go nowhere--then maybe. There are some amazing off-the-beaten-path hiking trails around this burg,so why take the ones most traveled?

New Mexico Trail Hounds Rejoice!

Book is well written. Extremely useful for planing which hikes you might want to tackle. Entire state of NM appeArs to be covered. Pretty typical of most hiking books I've read and used. A good resource to have for your trip.

It's a good book to have for locations of known hiking trails.
