This felt a lot more dated than 2001, and I also just couldn't buy into these characters. It was a DNF for me.

Nice romance. I mean, it's predictable (they all are) to a point. I even figured out who the "bad guy" was before it was revealed. It was a good read, worth the time.

I found this to be an enjoyable read and very funny at times. However I did feel it was to lengthy for the story plot. The characters were very likeable with wonderful personalities. The grandfather was over the top in more ways than one which made him a wonderful character. He really was a loveable dear old man who really wanted not only what was best for his grandson but wanted him happy. He put forth a plot to make him the happiest man in the world, which of course backfired.

This book is about love at first sight for a man who really was happy just living his life. One meeting with a plot from his grandfather might make him lose the women he wants most. Mark would do anything to have Courtney he even agreed to set her up in a plot to find a groom in a scavenger hunt. It was suppose to be a joke but as most jokes do it turned out wrong, leaving Mark with one mind blowing night with the women he loved from afar. The next morning she told him to hit the road and keep trucking. It torn his world apart and put grandfather and grandson against each other. Can these people find the one thing they want most in the world or will one night of passion be all that they find?

Courtney would not be force to marry a man she didn’t know even after one mind blowing night of passion she would not give in to being controlled. She might have moved on but Mark is never far from her mind. Two months has past when she finds out she is expecting…Mark just happens to coming visiting after spending two terrible months alone when he finds out they are having a baby he thinks maybe the cards are falling in his favor after all. Now he just has to talk her in to a life with him….

I found this to be a pretty humorous read at times. The author gives you wonderful characters that will keep you smiling. The plot is outstanding which at times is too long, sometimes too much is just as bad as having too little. I feel the book could have been cut in half and it would have made a much better read. With that being said it really was a nice funny read that I did enjoy. This is the first I have read of the author and I do plan on reading more from her.

First let me mention this was first released in Dec 2001 in paperback. I'm always pissed when I pick up a book that is a reprint and they don't mention it on the cover as there's a good chance I've already read it if it's by an author that's had as many great books published as Riley has. Most of which I've read. By the way, the cover is much cooler this time around so it's a shame that you don't get the full benefit as it's an eBook instead of print copy.
It was a fun read but I'm fairly sure I've read it before as I guessed way too soon who the saboteur was. Put aside your knowledge of the working world and enjoy the pure fun and romance of the story. It's about love at first sight and screwball comedy reminiscent of the I Love Lucy show. While the story-line was okay, it was a bit long (something you'll never hear me complaining about). It would have benefited by a rewrite to tighten up the story.

I was very impressed with this book. I have to say that Ms. Riley is one of my favorite authors. She write very passionately and this book is not different. When I was reading this book I absolutely feel in love with the charcters. I was able to become them, I was able to feel their love, their confusion, their bewilderment, I could feel it all. The connection between Courtney and Mark is undeniable but the great thing is going along with them as their lives change and as they create the life that they need to create in order to stay together. Ms. Riley is astounding when it comes to the feelings of the charcters, it seems as though she can relate to them, like she is writing from experience. I loved this book andon't hope that others will too.

2.5 stars.
Oh my god, Courtney was so insufferable and annoying! I can't possibly see what the heck Mark saw in her or how the hell he fell in love with her! She was a frustrating woman!
Mark instead was really cute and sweet and charming. He had his flaws too, but he was also a really good guy.
They were cute together. When she wasn't being unreasonable or difficult. She had serious trusting issues.
The end was really cute and she finally saw reason. Mark was really adorable!
Vanessa and Mr Bootle were two nut cases. Totally crazy!
All in all a nice read, but the story, especially the first part, was kind of unreal and stupid in my opinion.
And the sex scenes were like seeing them going at it like rabbits.
Nice read, but could have been better.

I was asked by the author for an honest review.

Courtney Kelly was on the fast track to becoming CEO of Bootle's Baby Bower. Bootle's Baby Bower is an upscale string of baby boutiques that are own by M. Billingham Bootle. Unfortunately, for Courtney, her boss has declared that the CEO position will go to the first of the four candidates who accomplish their task first. Courtney's task is to find and marry the most eligible bachelor in the New Orleans French Quarter by morning.

This book was very enjoyable and funny at times. This book is a little lengthy in the plot but once you get pass that it is still a good read and I still enjoyed reading it. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a nice good read.

"The Great Baby Caper" is the first book I have read by Eugenia Riley. The last few books I have read have been dark and gritty so I was wanting something light and fun. This was a cute book. Not quite as light as I'd hoped as it seems like the MC's argued so much. Mark was a sweet heart and such a romantic guy. Courtney was crabby for most of the book but she did come through at the end. There were some very silly funny moments that I was looking for. The book was a bit long feeling but an enjoyable read if you are looking for something light to make you laugh.

A big thank you to NetGalley and Eugenia Riley for the ARC for my honest review.

This is my first book by this author. I was surprised to learn that it is a reprint-that should be stated upfront. I am not sure if she reworked it-but that is sometimes nice to know.

This is an okay book-the story of Courtney and Mark. This was a little slow to me. For a couple who appear to be really smart-they don't even mention contraception?? The premise just seemed odd to me..really??? I know that there are many who will enjoy this-it just wasn't for me. I thought it was totally predictable.

OK romance, not nearly as funny as the blurb on the back would have you believe. Also, I wanted to smack the female lead for about 3/4 of the book. Don't go having a romantic evening and hop in bed with a guy and then blame everything that happens in your life on him!

The Great Baby Caper started off fantastically but I felt that it really took a dip down for me after that. Courtney is really not the easiest to connect with female character that I have ever read.

Cute story

Cute, sweet read. A few laugh out loud moments, but a very predictable story. A nice way to spend an afternoon with a good story.
