It provides a detailed explanation of Indiana's midwestern background such as: the wildlife, government, culture, seasons, and great lakes, Indian's capital, vegetation, government, and sporting events, and individuals whom have become famous that is from Indiana. I have used this book with my 3rd grade students during our literature circle and they loved it, and I love this book too.
Genre: Informational Grade Level: 2nd-4th I had never read this book before and I loved it! There are so many different facts and information about the entire state of Indiana. It is a very kid friendly book and has great illustrations, graphs, and charts to support the text. I also noticed that the headings of each topic are very clear, making the book easy to follow along with. I highly recommend reading this book to learn new things about Indiana!
