First book I've read in this series, and I was a little lost the during the first part of it. Rhett and Rebel are hot, but with all the nicknames flying around I kept getting them confused. I finally had to write it all down to try to keep them separate. Brynn was strong and not about to let the boys leave her behind when they rescued her friend and got the bad guys. They had their work cut out for themselves with convincing Brynn that she was a submissive. The romance between the boys was interesting. I'm curious about some of the previous couples journeys...why are there so many good books to read and not enough time in the day.

4 Star review of Mastered (Honor Bound # 8) by Angel Payne
I have read all the books in this series and I will admit that if I see the name Angel Payne, then it will always be an automatic purchase. Thrust together on a mission to save a comrades wife (Shay nearly broke my heart with the fear he had for his wife Zoe) who has been kidnapped, opens up a huge can of worms and unlocks feelings that at times appeared overwhelming for Rhett, Rebel and Brynna .
Although this is a stand–alone, I really would recommend that you read all the previous books in the series before embarking on this adventure. Characters and situations form previous books are referred to from the beginning and I do feel it may help if you have read them.
I did get a little confused at times as to whose POV I was actually in, perhaps a little more confusing as both the heroes have names that start with an R; Rhett Lange and Rebel Stafford. On several occasions I was getting confused as to whether it was Rhett or Rebel who I was “listening” too. I must say I thoroughly loved Brynna Monet; a feisty woman who is determined to stay on a man diet for the rest of her life. Brynna doesn’t trust easily and she finds herself confused with how she responds to both Rhett and Rebel, individually and together.
I adore the romantic suspense genre, throw in BDSM and Ménage and I am in heaven. The chemistry and camaraderie between Rhett and Rebel was at times frustrating but these two work off each other so well and when they work together on Brynna then the outcome is extremely hot and sexy.
It was interesting how Ms. Payne touched on the men’s “true” feelings for each other and to be honest, I wasn’t sure if it was going to be explored or not. It was obvious that there is more to Rhett and Rebel than just brothers in arms. These two seem to complete each other although I wasn’t sure that they would actually admit to that. I am certainly glad that they did in fact get together in the end. As a threesome I love Brynna, Rhett and Rebel together. Their chemistry was overwhelming.
This is one of my favourite series, I love catching up with the men and I enjoyed it and cannot wait to read the next book in the series.

As always, Angel's superb writing skills draws you in from page one, and holds you captive until the end. And then leaves you craving more, like eating potato chips or chocolate, lol. I date this book 5 🌟 more if I could and am already counting down the days until the next installment in the Honor Bound Series.

Unleashing the Dark Side
This is another stellar story by Angel Payne. This is the 8th entry in the Honor Bound Series, and my favourite so far. We have Brynna Monet, Rhett Lange and Rebel Stafford assisting in a mission to free Brynna's best friend Zoe from a monster who has captured her for his own devious devices.
Brynna, Rhett and Rebel each have issues and secrets that they are floundering to come to terms with. They are all fighting their inner feelings for each other as they all explore their drive of sexual and emotional turmoil. They all feel tortured in admitting their true feelings for each other as they do not want to tumble into an abyss with no chance of return. Along with all of this emotional angst, they are determined to be successful in their objective in rescuing their comrade in arms' wife.
I love how Angel delves into each of their psyches, souls and minds. The dynamics of this trio is off the charts. Brynna fights her inner turmoil in giving into her submissive feelings she experiences when with these 2 Alpha dominant men. The two men are in a constant sparring match not daring to admit their true feelings for each other.
I look forward to the next book in this series...

I like the way Angel Payne brought out the feelings of Rebel and Rhett had locked up for one another. Open and honest. She is a new author to me and I can't wait to get to know the group of men. Conquered book 9 to be released Oct. 23 followed by Ruled.

Goodreads giveaway in exchange for an honest review. I would like to thank the author for giving me this opportunity and honor in being able to read this book. When I received this book I began reading it at once. it grabs you from the beginning and holds you to the last page. I really enjoy the authors writing style, the author pulls you into the book from the very beginning and makes it so you don't want to put the book down. It kept me on the edge of my seat reading from cover to cover. This book was a very interesting read. The author kept you interested from the first chapter to the very last. It pulls you in quickly and keeps you hooked wanting to read and find out what is happening. I would recommend this to anyone.

OMG!!!!! Got to be the best one yet. Well I still love my Zeke but Rhett and Reb are right up there with him. This book is intense with the drama and intrigue and hot hot hot as only the W.I.L.D. Boys are. It was so hard to put down to go to bed. You can't go wrong with this series.

This book was an ARC. Brynna, Rhett and Rebel floored me! This book was so emotionally hot and intense that I wished for more hours in the day to keep reading. I was wowed by the way they came together, fought their inner demons and shared so much physically and emotionally. The start of the story really made me mad. I mean who other than a madman would kidnap an eight months pregnant woman! I felt for Shay in his agony because I really love Shay and Zoe. Theirs was an amazing story as well. Angel's ending to this danger almost made me throw my Kindle again but she saved herself a very long spiel from me by means I won't mention but I love you Angel for it! This trio is not what I was used to or prepared for but I am so glad I read this book. It was amazing!

Another amazing book from the Honor Bound series. Angel keep the team of soldiers together along with finding the loves of their lives. Rhett and Rebel have been team mates in their daily lives for a long time. Adding Brynna to help them on a mission was not what any of them expected. They all were there to help out a team mate and they all discovered how to open their hearts and share them with each other. Let your heart open and feel the love that is flowing in and out of it. Awesome story Angel of finding true love in the least expected places.

Omg!! This book is my favorite of this series by far. I absolutely love military romance but this talented author has exceeded my expectations. This is the eighth book in the Honor Bound series. It could be read as a stand alone but you might get a little lost due to some of the prior characters that are in this story as well. I was hooked right from the beginning. These characters kept me awake at all hours of the night. It only took me a full day to devour this unforgettable story.

She finds out that her best friend has been kidnapped and she will do anything to get her back safely. When Brynna meets Rhett and Rebel her heart skips a beat. She is told that she has to join forces with these two brothers in order to help get her friend back. Brynna is thrown into a very dangerous mission in Texas. She has to put her and her and her friend’s life into these brothers hands. Brynna starts to get to know these hot brothers and she quickly realizes that she has feelings for them. Will Brynna find her friends and save her or will she be too late? Will Brynna open up her heart again or will this mission be all business?
This book is phenomenal. The storyline has it all hot romance, suspense, and a love triangle you will never forget. You will fall in love with these characters right from the beginning. Brynna is a beautiful woman that has a lot of spunk. She knows what she wants and she is not afraid to get it. I looked at Brynna as a hero due to the things she went through. Rhett and Rebel are very hot soldiers that have no fear. They have a reputation that makes all the ladies swoon. I loved the way these brothers took care of Brynna. Each Wild Boys Novel Angel writes brings us a little closer to this tight knit group. We learn intimate details and as readers form unbreakable connections with some incredible characters. Mastered By The Mavericks is an intense storyline full of action, drama, suspense and some incredibly hot sexy scenes that are guaranteed to fog up your e-reader.
This novel is one emotional roller-coaster ride that gives us a look into Brynna’s life. She’s sworn off men and gets thrown into a situation with two incredibly sexy Alpha Males and now has some difficult decisions to make. I so loved Brynna. She was sweet and sassy and would do anything for those she loves. And she does for her friend who has been taken by a deranged man. She pushes Rhett and Rebel to take her along on the mission to rescue her friend. Not only is there the tension of being able to do that, but there is some serious sexual tension as well. These men want her and they aim to have her. I loved the banter between them as well as the steamy moments they shared. I really love this series and loved Brynna and her men. I can't wait to read more.

Another FIVE STAR read by Angel Payne. She has quickly become one of my favorite authors and I can promise you, anything you pick up by her, you will NOT be able to put down. Hook, line, and sinker she reels you in.
This series is definitely 17-18+, but they can be read as standalones. I advise for you to read them in order because there is a bit of referencing to previous novels in the series, not enough for you to be lost or truly confused though.
Kellan, Tait, and Lani still hold my heart (Wet), but I felt a deeper connection with Rhett, Rebel, and Brynna. I think this novel really gives a deeper meaning to, and shines a brighter light on, BDSM. Mastered is a wonderful read for a struggling submissive, whether that be with one master, or two.
I think it’s wonderful that we get to see their relationship from all three angles. The emotional turmoil was so much deeper in Mastered and a lot easier to connect with, in my opinion. The emotions that the characters struggled with throughout were so easily identifiable and relatable. Angel did a wonderful job of truly bringing these three to life.
As always, I cannot wait to read more by Angel Payne. I’ve got Bolt waiting for me on my Kindle thanks to NetGalley and Waterhouse Press. Definitely check out Bolt if you get the chance and make sure you read the Honor Bound series as well!

I think this novel really gives a deeper meaning to, and shines a brighter light on, BDSM. Mastered is a wonderful read for a struggling submissive, whether that be with one master, or two.
I think it’s wonderful that we get to see their relationship from all three angles. The emotional turmoil was so much deeper in Mastered and a lot easier to connect with, in my opinion. The emotions that the characters struggled with throughout were so easily identifiable and relatable. Angel did a wonderful job of truly bringing these three to life.
As always, I cannot wait to read more by Angel Payne. I’ve got Bolt waiting for me on my Kindle thanks to NetGalley and Waterhouse Press. Definitely check out Bolt if you get the chance and make sure you read the Honor Bound series as well!

Every damn time I pick up an Honor Bound Book by the awe inspiring Angel Payne I know I am in for a serious trip down emotional lane. Mastered was like sitting down to a elegant five course meal that taunted your senses, tricked your pallet, then left you in a carb coma with a huge grin on your face. Rebel, Rhett, and Brynna will spin circles in your mind as they all put their own lives on the line to save Zoe. What neither of them are prepared for is the raw honesty that can be revealed when soul mates finally find each other...after reading Mastered there is no such thing as "three's a crowd"!

Mastered (Honor Bound book 8) is definitely in the running of being one of my favorite (I'm still kind of partial to Dan). It isn't necessary but I would suggest reading the prior books just to get the full experience.
Reading this book was like being in a tsunami. There's the trepidation and heartbreaking realization in the beginning, then the actual wave of fighting for either your life or for the lives of your loved one. And lastly is the aftermath where you try to salvage the pieces, analyze the storm and the results, take stock in what is left to salvage and where you go from here.
I was completely wrung out!
I loved the suspense and enjoyed the connection between Rebel, Rhett and Brynna. Their "sessions" (for lack of a better word) were so intense and detailed. Angel Payne has mastered the art of storytelling and did a magnificent job of taking us through so we could experience the little nuances for ourselves.
I want a pirate and a viking of my very own!

This book definitely lived up to it's title. So many feelings go through you. I can't even describe it. Rhett & Rebel are the yin and yang to Brynna. The journey Brynna goes through to realize what she truly needs and desires is both heart wrenching and breath taking. But Rhett & Rebels journey is even more so but so damn sexy. You go on an emotional rollercoaster during this amazing book including some heartbreaking moments that lead to the happiest. Such an amazing story!!

OMG!!!!! Got to be the best one yet. Well I still love my Zeke but Rhett and Reb are right up there with him. This book is intense with the drama and intrigue and hot hot hot as only the W.I.L.D. Boys are. It was so hard to put down to go to bed. You can't go wrong with this series.

WOW Angel you did it again. This story took alot of turns that I didn't see coming. Not normally a m/m reader but the story between Rebel, Rhett and Brynna was filled with so much LOVE and turmoil that it had me hooked from the beginning. I'm so glad that these wonderful characters were able to go full circle to gain what they all needed and deserved from life.

Angel Payne gives us a good combination of romantic suspense and BDSM romance in her latest installment of her Military Romance series - The WILD Boys of Special Forces. There is sweetness and tenderness, along with intensity and passion. Brynna, Rhett, and Rebel are not my favorite characters in this series, but they held their in own okay, and kept me engaged with their HOT chemistry and feisty banter. Ménage romances are tough to write. Sometimes it's hard to follow dual POV's in a story, and now you add-on a third and if you're not careful, it could get jumbled and you could easily lose the reader's attention. I'm a pretty intense reader, and it's usually not hard for me to follow along, but in this one, I did have some trouble. An easy fix would have been to place the character's name before the chapter begins. I've seen it in other reads, and it helped immensely.
The thing that didn't make this a 4 or 5 star read for me was the slow storyline. They went on a mission to save Brynna's best friend from danger, but once they had a taste of each other, that mission went out the window. All thoughts of the woman that they were supposed to save vanished under lust and passion. The sex and BDSM play was ridiculously HOT, but there could have been some more emotion geared towards their target.
All in all, a delightful and sexy read. There were slow, drawn-out parts, but nothing that would deter me from finishing the read. I LOVED the beginning of the story. It was SO GOOD to hear familiar names again, and Shay Bommer destroyed my heart in this one. I could feel his pain and suffering through the pages. One thing that you might miss is the relationship between Rhett and Rebel. At the beginning you are left to wonder what kind of feelings they have for each other. Yes, they are best friends and brothers, but is their more there? When it all came to light, I confess, I got a little giddy. No matter what I will continue reading this series and hoping for more. Angel Payne does great military romance with heart, and this was a definite pleasure to read.

This is quite possibly the best book I’ve read in this genre (erotic romance, military romance. ménage). Angle Payne has truly shared a story like no other and you are shorting yourself by not diving into the WILD Boys series immediately. I pre-ordered this book months ago, so the anticipation and expectations were a bit high, and Angel Payne delivered! She has created a community of characters that you get lost in and stories that are palpable. Mavericks is the most emotionally charged, gut wrenching, mind blowing WILD Boys ever, and I will read it again, and again! Brynn has been a standout since the start of book #6 when she was introduced as a vivacious and determined spirit that was beautifully fragile on the inside. THEN, she was crushed in #7 by Dan Colton and Tess. I have to say I probably underrated that last one because I was so pissed at Colton and Tess and how they treated Brynn, but those emotions are simply the sign of a well written book! Right!? (I still don’t like Dan or Tess!) But that’s my point. You get invested in these characters, and the more you get to know them the more you care. Brynn, Rebel and Rhett need each other on a level that is essential; almost primal, and how they sort it all out is an unexpected and striking ride. Rhett and Rebel are so raw and authentic, and lost without each other. Thanks to AP for taking such a great risk in her storytelling to give us an honest and poignant look at the need they have for each other, and the love. It’s not just the circumstances that bring these three together that creates the chemistry, it’s who they are – how they are written – that gives the reader a firm grasp on their journey from start to finish. One of my two favorite lines in the book, “…she didn’t step in as their wedge. She’d built herself in as their bridge.”. A focused story (minor editing issues), AH-MAZ-ING sex scenes (like panty melting, lose track of time, read them over and over and end up breathless sex scenes!), heartbreakingly intense characters (Shay was KILLING me with his anger, and fear for his wife!) and an HEA like I’ve never experienced. This is a must read! I could go on and on, but I’d rather re-read this book!

4 Star review of Mastered By The Mavericks (The WILD Boys Of Special Forces Book # 8) by Angel Payne
I have read all the books in this series and I will admit that if I see the name Angel Payne, then it will always be an automatic purchase. Thrust together on a mission to save a comrades wife (Shay nearly broke my heart with the fear he had for his wife Zoe) who has been kidnapped, opens up a huge can of worms and unlocks feelings that at times appeared overwhelming for Rhett, Rebel and Brynna .
Although this is a stand–alone, I really would recommend that you read all the previous books in the series before embarking on this adventure. Characters and situations form previous books are referred to from the beginning and I do feel it may help if you have read them.
I did get a little confused at times as to whose POV I was actually in, perhaps a little more confusing as both the heroes have names that start with an R; Rhett Lange and Rebel Stafford. On several occasions I was getting confused as to whether it was Rhett or Rebel who I was “listening” too. I must say I thoroughly loved Brynna Monet; a feisty woman who is determined to stay on a man diet for the rest of her life. Brynna doesn’t trust easily and she finds herself confused with how she responds to both Rhett and Rebel, individually and together.
I adore the romantic suspense genre, throw in BDSM and Ménage and I am in heaven. The chemistry and camaraderie between Rhett and Rebel was at times frustrating but these two work off each other so well and when they work together on Brynna then the outcome is extremely hot and sexy.
It was interesting how Ms. Payne touched on the men’s “true” feelings for each other and to be honest, I wasn’t sure if it was going to be explored or not. It was obvious that there is more to Rhett and Rebel than just brothers in arms. These two seem to complete each other although I wasn’t sure that they would actually admit to that. I am certainly glad that they did in fact get together in the end. As a threesome I love Brynna, Rhett and Rebel together. Their chemistry was overwhelming.
This is one of my favourite series, I love catching up with The Wild Boys and I enjoyed it and cannot wait to read the next book in the series.

If you’ve read any of my previous reviews, you know that I’m a ’total fan-girl’ for Angel Payne - and this book just upped the ante!!
The story begins with our favorite Honor Bound Boys watching their brother Shay fall apart due to his pregnant wife, Zoey being kidnapped by the quintessential ‘mad scientist’ - one that Shay is all to familiar with. All the ‘boys’ are now involved in the hunt for Zoe and the rescue to return her to Shay. Brynna is Zoe’s best friend and she will stop at nothing to help find her and bring her home. Now team her up with Rhett and Rebel, and the sparks are flying and the sexual tension is off the charts!!
Rhett and Rebel’s relationship is one of brotherhood, ultimate friendship and a LOT brewing just below the surface. They’re fine with the status quo, until Brynna joins them on Zoe’s trail in Texas and becomes the ‘bridge’ to the raw feelings they have for one another, but don’t want to acknowledge. Now, bring in the BDSM aspect (2 Dominants and 1 fearful untrusting (‘no, I’m not submissive’) red-head) and Angel Payne has written one of the best in Honor Bound series, if not the genre.
The deep-seated emotions begin on the very first page (my God, Shay just broke my heart) and continue to very last word …. from fear, anger, suspense, angst, heartache, friendship, humor, lust, passion, love, and everything in between …. and you can’t forget the sex scenes - OMG, you’ll need a freezer full of ice to cool down after you read these!!!

I've had the pleasure of reading Angel's work before and loved it. This is coming to be a pretty cool series, I've read a couple of the books and now I want to go back and read the ones in between.
In the lives of a special op team its not always easy, you have to take your fun where you can usually. When you have a past thats less than loving, you learn coping skills. Those skill will either uplift you or haunt you. Both males Rhett and Rebel has some personal issues they've dealt with their own way. But it hasn't stopped them from being friends and brothers in ARMs. Both so different yet in some ways similar.
Enters Brynn yeah she knows all about tramatic deep seated issues. The horror of her sister's life and her own life battling her needs she tries to bury. Because of if one man has royally screwed her any other...yeah she wont be giving a chance to.
So when Jaded, the romantic and the playboy get tossed together its more than ego's that will have to be maintained. Their own personal demons will have to be shaken lose for any of them to see light at the end of the tunnel.
Loved each of the characters personalities, I had fun with them and the slow reveal of each of them and what the past that they harboured. A bit detailish, in some aspects but a wonderful storyline, Action, drama and some really really hot scenes. Meshed into a decent length well read story. You dont need to read the others to get the storyline of this one. Do grab it and enjoy.

I have to say that this is one of my favorite series and one that I am always on the look out for. Why? Well Angel does a great job keeping you sucked into her stories. There's action, love, angst and of course some hot sex scenes, just to name a few. Each book can be read as a standalone but I love reading them all. I did miss the last two (boo! darn it) but I didn't feel lost which is great!
I loved the main characters in this story. You have Brynn, Rhett and Rebel in this book. Each of them have a battle they are fighting inside their heads and they have to figure out if they are willing to listen to what their hearts are telling them. They all have some major hang ups towards any kind of serious relationship, all for different reasons and it leads to some tense times. They are on an op to rescue Brynn's best friend and Rhett & Rebel's teammate's woman, who was kidnapped by a very bad man.
Will they be successful in their mission? Will they succumb to the off the charts sexual tension they are feeling? Will Brynn be able to get over her hang ups about being a sub? Will she have to choose just one and which one will she choose?
This is a must read book and series. You won't go wrong with reading this book or any of Angel's other books in this series. I can't wait to read the two I missed and the new one that is coming this year!

WOW What an emotional read.
While this maybe Book 8 in the series it can be easily read as a standalone. Theirs is a truly deep seated love that cannot be denied. Brynne is Zoe's best friend and when Zoe is kidnapped Brynne comes forward to the husband Shay in the hope that she can help in any way. Shay brings in the rest of his team mates that are shattered across the globe in a rescue mission to return his heavy pregnant wife home safely. Rhett and Rebel are part of the rescue. It doesn't take long before sparks fly between the three of them. Fighting the emotions and the secrets each have, that won't allow any of them to admit to themselves or each other their connection is more than just sexual. I love how each of these characters had to learn to love and trust again through the fear that grips them. This book is emotional eye opening in it's depth and just proving that you just may need to let yourself fall to be able to rise and love and live honestly. I was captivated by Honor Bound and highly recommend this book. A must read. I received a copy of this book and happily leave this review.

3.5 stars .. I am torn on my rating for this book, because I am afraid it is possibly all my fault. This is the first book in this series for me while it says can be read as a standalone, I was pretty lost the first 40% of the story. I kept finding myself re-reading page after page so therefor I highly recommend reading the all prior books in this series. Now with that being said. The last 60% or so of the story was great. I loved the main characters. They are each fighting there own inter demons and life struggles. The sex scenes sizzle and unbreakable bonds are formed..
Would I recommend this book? Most definitely, but only if you have read the prior books in this series.

Holy moly this book was hot I thought I was gonna have to get the fire extinguisher to put the flames out on my Kindle. Angel is a new author to me and I'm so glad I gave her a chance. I've been wanting to read the books in the series for the longest time but never got around to doing it and I'm so glad I did. Absolute great read that's smoking hot!
