Sarah Hobbs is a poet from South London. Born and raised on the streets in and around London they bring these experiences passionately to their poetry.

Seen regularly on the Spoken Word scene around London and the South East of England they are one of the up and coming talents, even describing themselves as the Syllabic Seamstress of poetry.

Their style is very simplistic and mirrors that of Benjamin Zephaniah, their great inspiration and idol.

They believe that poetry needs to focus on a younger audience in order to entice people to love this not so common art form.

Simplicity and rhythm is therefore crucial, because it is this that makes it available and enjoyable to anyone, of any age, race or gender.

Beautiful chat book by Sarah Hobbs. I love how it is illustrated and literally is, between two hills.
Beautiful reflected her childhood with her grandmother and the stories she was told.
I’ve seen Sarah perform on the poetry scene and I’m enjoying watching her create her own style.
I very much look forward to reading her previous work and that still to come.

A really nice poem about memory, childhood and growing up. It especially nice to read a poem about Scotland in Scotland! The illustrations are beautiful and work perfectly with the poem.
