If you like a book where the hero and heroine are both excessively arrogant and there’s lots of sex just for the sake of sex, this is a book for you. I couldn’t get past both main characters being so full of themselves, with the hero being a huge jerk on top of that. The heroine was supposed to be a brilliant, accomplished, kick butt kind of woman, but she was a spineless wimp who couldn’t think for herself when it came to the hero.
The book begins with a very detailed description of Braden having sex with some random chick and the scene does absolutely nothing to advance the story. Any author worth her salt can get the message across that the hero is a dog without those details. After Braden and Jenna have hooked up, he’s at a strip club he frequents and seems to think he’s all righteous and noble because he’s only getting a lap dance and not hooking up with the stripper like he usually does. What?!
So suffice it to say that I never connected with these characters or felt that they had any kind of emotional connection with each other. There’s also an element of BDSM in this book. I'm all for a little bondage and submission play between two consenting adults when it adds to the story and builds the bond between the characters, but I never felt like this did. The only emotion I saw from Braden was arrogance and anger, and then, boom, he’s in love with Jenna. All of this was disappointing and just left me with an icky feeling. Definitely no happy sigh at the end for me.
I’ve read Vivian Vale’s work before and really enjoyed it, so this came as a surprise. I had originally agreed to read and review an advance copy through Booksprout but then declined because I knew I couldn’t leave a good review. Then I saw all the positive reviews and felt it was unfair to other readers like me who want likeable characters who have actual emotions towards each other and go through the process of falling in love as the romance novel progresses. And for readers who, like me, don’t like reading about the hero's exploits with women other than the heroine, I felt it was important to at least state this so potential readers can make an informed choice.
Because of this, I purchased my own copy of the book and read it beginning to end so I could leave an unbiased, unsolicited, honest review without feeling I had any obligation because I had received an advance copy. (If you glean from this statement that there is pressure from authors for advance readers to leave positive reviews, you would be correct. That did NOT happen with these authors, but when considering buying a book, read the narrative of the reviews rather than relying only on the number of stars.) Although this book is not for me, I would consider reading work from these authors again, after doing my due diligence in reading reviews and careful consideration of the characters in future books.

A steamy read about an arrogant, playboy billionaire, Braden, who races illegally on the streets for an elite club made of billionaires. Then there’s Jenna, not only is she beautiful, she’s smart, knows all about engines and cars who also happens to be on a team competing against Braden in these races. He finally gets a chance to meet her, he’s been eyeing her for a while and she has been secretly lusting after him as well. They get together and as soon as everything seems perfect for her, the FBI strong arms her into divulging Braden’s secrets so they can put him away. Will she do it ?
A great steamy read with a bit of suspense as to what Jenna will do and will Braden figure it out. There were a couple of places where I didn’t like Braden and once I considered him cheating even though nothing happened, it was just the thought and actions at the time and what he allowed to happen that I didn’t like. But I did like Jenna throughout it, she was strong, held her own against Braden and wasn’t a floozy. The read had me turning the pages and I liked how Braden didn’t turn on Jenna, once he figured out that she was all he wanted, he was willing to forgive her for anything.

Braden is a billionaire racer car driver and he has wanted Jenna for awhile now and he is ready to make his move. They work as competitors but both love to challenge each other to create the faster car. When Braden approaches Jenna she's surprised because she didn't even think she was on his radar. Braden didn't care what it took Jenna was going to be his. He didn't even believe for a second that she would betray him but that was before he saw the proof in front of his own eyes. Jenna is being threatened by the FBI to give up info on Braden or her and her whole team will go down. Jenna wants to protect everyone but when Braden misunderstands what's really happening can she get him to let her explain?
This is an amazing story. Its been awhile since I've read a racer book and this one has put me in the mood to read more like it. A five star hit by two amazing authors. You need to grab it if you haven't done so yet.

Very good contemporary billionaire & auto racing romance. Braden is a billionaire who is the champion of the underground racing. It's an elite group of wealthy individuals who pay off legal officials in order to race the city streets at speeds far beyond normal automobiles. Braden is a genius when it comes to speed. Jenna has been around the circuit for many years. She had an obsession with Braden but they kept to themselves as they were competitors. Things change between them then the major problems start. This was different as the lead character is an avid playboy and women throw themselves at him so he takes what's offered. The female main character is brilliant, knows cars yet crumbles when it comes to Braden. The author developed the characters interactions around sex and racing. The 'relationship' occurs rapidly. The characters have known of each other for years yet know little about the other. That is where I had a difficult time understanding their relationship. I received a complementary copy of this book via Booksprout and chose to write a review.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. This is a fast paced book that has fast racing and hot, steamy scenes. Braden is a billionaire who leads a group of billionaires in an underground racing circle that shuts down parts of the city to race. The group regularly bribe police and other officials to allow the racing. Jenna is head of development for Braden's competitor and known for not dating anyone involved in racing. Braden is a playboy who usually has a different woman every night, but he wants Jenna and wants to see her again. Jenna is attracted to Braden and doesn't want anyone to know she is seeing him because she is conflicted about her team. Braden has new technology and Jenna wants to know about it. When Jenna is approached by the FBI and threatened with jail time for her involvement with racing, she is given a choice to save herself or betray Braden. I really enjoyed this book and the chemistry between Braden and Jenna. Good one.

Very well written book with great storyline and plot. A sweet romance book. It is a nice read with very hot scenes.
I love the journey towards their HEA. There is fear, drama, passion, emotions, hot scenes, twists and lots of chemistry in this amazing story. Instant attraction. It is written in dual POV which gives the reader much more of the thoughts and feelings of the main characters. Would have loved an epilogue. Great contemporaty romance with a twist and very enjoyable read.

Holy smokes, I swear my kindle was smoking after reading this hot book!

I’m not sure what to think of this book I liked it and enjoyed it but some parts made me angry at Braden that I wanted to punch him for being a jerk, and Jenna she is smart and funny and so stupid at times and appears weak but Braden and Jenna do have hot blistering chemistry between them and with Bradens dominant nature and the BDSM elements thrown in was very good, so over all I liked it it but still not sure. A good racing story is what I like.
It started good with him behind the wheel and telling about his exiting life
Next it is her turn, a woman who knows a lot about cars.
They are a great couple together, sparks and more fly when they are together finally. So hot!
But of course there is something which messes up with this, this time the FBI and them not trusting each other totally so they can mess it up big time.
Not sure about the end of it, I mean with the FBI thing. That is why I give it 4 and not 5 stars.

Well what can I say, he’s a man whore who always likes his own way, but I have to admit I really enjoyed their story, the fact the attraction had been brewing in both for a while until he finally approached her, not going to say anymore because don’t want to spoil it for anyone, but definitely worth reading, would’ve like one more chapter to find out what happened or who 😉 but still a lovely ending 😊

I am a very fast reader – usually I finish books within a day and follow my personal rule “it is faster to finish than to decide should I satisfy my curiosity or skip the book”. For the accountants – I “did not finish” maybe 1 of 1000 books I read….
This book outran my patience – it is unbelievable superficial, unbelievable bad written, I really really felt absolute no sympathy for anyone of the protagonists.
Sorry about this harsh review – but I would not read another book of these authors.

Not impressed
Not quite sure if I liked it or not. One thing is for sure I kept reading it. Strong characters, but a bit dramatic how awesome they were. I felt like no real emotion was coming into view for me. It had plenty of smutty scenes,if you looking for that. Not impressed it was meh read.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. I could not get past the humongous egos of the main characters. The had a lot of sex but it was like it was just to throw a sex scene in the book. No substance to the sex scenes or the characters.

Steamy quick read
This was a quick steamy read, although it would most likely be half the length if alot of the thoughts and comments were not repeated so much. That distracted me a bit and i found myself skimming over some of it. All and all it was still a cute steamy read.

Apt title
Story was fast and furious. With rampant lust and adrenaline junky couple. They came together after years of knowing each other on the fridges of there world.
Totally suspend belief to enjoy steamy story. I’m a native NYer never would be possible. But entertaining.
