This was a very short story about Charlotte’s obsession for Nadia. It has costed her a year already. A year of taking cooking lessons just to be near Nadia (wo is a chef). Charlotte does not even like cooking. And now she is at Nadia’s New Year’s party where she does not really want to be. Just as she decides that Nadia is out of her league and she should move on, the woman of her dreams does something unexpected.

Okay, we shall not look a gifted horse in the mouth, but...

There was not much here. The story is told from Charlotte’s pov so we get to know her better than Nadia, who stays pretty much a mystery. They hardly communicate, not even during their sex scene so that made it into a flat experience. I would have liked a bit more soul searching here. Also it was one-sided and no postcoital cuddling either for poor Charlotte.
Overall it did not rock my world.

f/f explicit
Themes: mediocre nookie, these women don’t really talk, not even dirty, boo!, this kind of erotica does not wet my whistle, a short story like this does not need so much before and after talk from the author, rather spend it on your characters, filler galore.

Quick short story about a woman who reluctantly goes to a New Year's Eve party. She's only there because she's spent the past year lusting, strongly, after the woman hosting the party. But that's the only person she'll know at the party, and she's very much thinking that she should just cut all ties to that woman, because it's hurting to keep lusting after her - a New Year's resolution should be made on that subject.

The story starts with the woman outside not getting any answer to her attempts to let anyone know she's there, she's decided to just leave but that other woman opens the door and pulls her in. The one in lust is tingling and on edge, but continues to want to just leave. She briefly gets into a conversation with some man, whereupon the reader learns that the lustful one works in information technology, she's a computer technician. Working herself up to leave (and yes, I've said that a lot - it's said a lot in the short story), she exists a small bathroom only to run directly into that other woman. Who kisses her. Then they have sex. Afterwards the lustful one feels vaguely used, because the other one just 'got her off' (stripped her, pleasured her, then left) without ever taking her own clothing off, and with a quick 'must get back to the party' comment before leaving her there in the bed. And, um, more stuff happens. I've just suddenly lost the ability to continue typing so, um, that happened.

Story was interesting enough for what it is - a quick little snippet, a test of writing more graphically (as the author notes in her afterward). Even though it's just a snapshot scene, the people felt real enough, especially the lead character, and I've a vague desire to read more about the cooking student (the lustful one) and the cook.

Struggling to give this short story an official rating. Heck, the author’s notes before & after the story is about as long as the story itself. If I were to rate it I’d give it 2.25 Stars.

I do enjoy short stories and it is a true art. This one just didn’t do it for me. Charlotte goes to her cooking teacher, Nadia’s house for a New Year’s Eve party. Charlotte has a massive crush on Nadia. I really didn’t get a good handle on Nadia. Truth is I think it came down to I didn’t care for either of the MCs.

It was short. And... well to the point I spose. Niamh has as much preamble as post write up as the story itself, heh.

This story is ridiculously short. The "connection" between the characters is superficial and seems forced. To make matters worse, the sex scene is far from good.

There was more author note about writing good lesbian erotica than actual erotica in this story, so I was left pretty cold. There was potential for some really sexy dom/sub stuff, too!

Sexy Short

Short, and sexy read. Most "short" stories take me at least most of 1 day (work). The author wasn't kidding when she said you could read it before bed. It was quick, but very good and well written.
