Cadmium Dragon

Rate this book
The Cadmium dragon has found his mate, and now he’s on the hunt. The hunt for things to buy online so he has an excuse to see the curvy delivery woman that brings him his packages. And when a chance occurrence gives him the opportunity to get to know her better, he springs into action to show her just how much a dragon can offer—inside the bedroom and out.

Casey can’t help enjoying each fleeting moment she gets at her last stop on her delivery route. Who wouldn’t? The man she sees is tall, ripped, and has charm for days, even if he goes by the strange name “Cadmium”. So when her truck breaks down and help is nowhere to be found, she follows her heart, and lets Cadmium take her in for the weekend.

As it turns out, it’s going to be a weekend Casey will never forget, filled with fun, romance, crazy antics, and spine-tingling sex. But not everything is perfect, and Cadmium knows he has a lot to explain. Like the fact that he’s a dragon. And as their time together quickly runs out, both will have to determine how far they’re willing to go to follow their hearts.

Warning: This series contains a team of powerful dragons who are on earth to finds mates, settle down, and help save the planet while saving their own lives at the same time. These books contain exciting action, some violence, and hot, sexy scenes.

Cadmium is another fun installment of the Dragon Guard of Drakkaris series! The Cadmium dragon looks forward to receiving daily package deliveries from beautiful, curvy Casey. His dragon knows she’s his mate, but he only gets to see her by placing online orders for delivery. He knows this can't continue, so he has to figure out how to have a real conversation with her.

After making her last delivery before the weekend to Cadmium’s house, Casey's car breaks down in his driveway. Stranded, she winds up staying at the house with Cadmium and his fellow dragons until she can get her car towed for repair.

During her weekend stay, Casey finds she’s really attracted to Cadmium, and is having the most fun in years hanging with the guys and Brittany. As the weekend ends, Casey realizes she’ll have to return to her normal life of loneliness and distrust. Will she follow her heart and explore her connection with Cadmium or let fears from her past dictate her future?

This group of dragons is utterly adorable! I can’t wait to see who’s next to find his mate.

Dragon creepy vs. human creepy

Cadmium is another of the metallic alien dragons that came to Earth looking for a human mate. However he was solely looking for a human for his best friend, Zinc, who is suffering more than the rest of them. But to his surprise when he received a package from a very hot delivery driver, he immediately knew she was his mate. Enter in the numerous bogus packages he orders just to see her everyday. So I ask.. how is this not creepy? Oh yeah.. duh! Because he’s a hot alien dragon.. if it was our creepy neighbor down the street doing the things he did we would be calling the cops..

Once you get passed all that.. the book is just a mushy romance novel with another creepy person (Casey’s ex) again.. not okay because he’s not a hot alien dragon.. and no fighting warrior scenes. A little more character depth or plot lines would definitely make this series worth 5 stars.

Like I said about Lead Dragon I really enjoyed the whole concept of the dragons needing to find their mates for their hearts the metal poisoning that's an interesting twist. I will say I did enjoy the second book a little more than the first. Some parts of both books feel rushed I think there could be a little bit more detail on certain things it's like things were glossed over in the first book the Oracle gets her panties in a wad because lead wants to make Chloe but in the second book Cadmium and nobody seems to say anything I also think it's pretty strange that there wasn't a little bit more interaction with the two humans or the dragons in their Dragon forms considering they are meeting these people for life also one of my big pet peeves so far that I'm hoping as we get further into the series will be cleared up they speak as if their names Lead, cadmium, arsenic, zinc, are all names of houses and familial lines. Hence, "Leads usually never make it inside the palace." First they say that their names are because of the type of Dragon they are then they speak sometimes as though there are more than one of that type Dragon if so then should they not have mentioned another type of identifier for each of them for instance this "this is the cadmium Dragon problem." Or other sentences like that in for their name and their metals is part of the cast identifier sort of. If this is the case then that means there has to be more than one Dragon of that type cadmium, zinc, arsenic and so on. So one would think they would have some other type of identifier also, the first two books allude to them having other magics which supposedly they only discuss with their mates but then there's no mention of things after that. I'm not one for writing negative reviews and I don't wish this to be one I really do love the concept of the story and I actually enjoyed the second book a little more than the first so I'm hoping there's to be only improvement. I was glad to see in this book that this female Cadmium's female wasn't just going to let herself be locked away. Although I will reiterate that I think it is very odd that the two human females did not have more interaction with each other and I'm hoping that will be different in the next couple books :-)

It is so easy to fall in love with Terry Bolryder’s dragons, so very easy. I’d be hard pressed to name my absolute favorite for there are bits and pieces of each that I’d claim for my own – but Cadmium holds a special spot in my reader’s heart. These dragon guards not only have to find their mates among human women, but also understand an entire new world with all of its oddities – like snow. If you want to experience a dragon’s first touch of snow or a humorous, laugh til the tears flow snowball fight then look no further. So, yeah, I’m in love with Cadmium and his unique charm.

The danger in Cadmium and Casey’s romance is toned down a bit than we might be used to – but it exists nonetheless. An ex-boyfriend turned stalker will wreck havoc in their romance and try his best to continue to ruin Casey’s life. We’ll get to know the other dragons of Drakkaris a bit better, experience some more horrible cooking from one particular dragon, visit with Lead and his mate a bit, and simply have the chance to let these dragons into our hearts a bit deeper. This romance is sweeter, softer and the couple adorable, but don’t worry there is still lots of sexy times and danger to be faced before their happy ending. Cadmium Dragon just proves that there doesn’t always have to be another big bad dragon or wolf to deliver a tense story and danger to be faced down.

I would recommend Cadmium Dragon and any or all of the stories inn this series, as well as the connecting ones to any Paranormal Romance or Shifter Romance reader. You’ll find a compelling story, hot and sexy couples and come away satisfied yet impatient for the next story in this world.

I read this title through my Kindle Unlimited subscription.

Cadmium is one of the Dragon Guard who came to earth to find his mate. At first he spent a lot of time chatting with women and the internet to learn how interact with women but then he got caught by the oracle. Now his computer is restricted to computer shopping only. Cadmium is doing a ton of shopping ever since he met Casey his package deliverer woman. He quickly figures out that Casey is his mate and is trying to figure out approach her. In the meantime, he orders packages to be delivered daily so he can see Casey. No he just has to convince her to give him a chance.
Casey is hard up for money since she left her abusive ex and had to quickly find a new apartment. Her delivery job is one way to help make ends meet. Normally she would hate delivering package way out at the end of her route but she really enjoys taking with Cadmium who seems really nice but very strange. One Friday her van breaks down at Cadmium's at the end of her route. Weekend garage work is expensive so she wants to wait to get her car towed. Cadmium checks up on Casey and invites her to stay the night since no one in the house can drive. Casey is very attracted to Cadmium and agrees. This is a start of major changes in her life. Cadmium seems very nice and considerate but clueless about life in the real world. Why are Cadmium and his friend so unusual?
This is a great story about a dragon falling in love with his delivery driver. There is a lot of laughs and passionate moments. I voluntarily received a copy of this story and this is my honest review.

Cadmium has the most open and friendly demeanor of all the Drakkrais dragons. He is sweet, caring, and a loyal friend. Casey is hiding out and trying to distance herself from a bad relationship and has basically been isolated from any support system. Cadmium proves to be a stalker - I mean- a knight is shining armor for Casey.

This story is a little different from the other dragon stories. There is no Big Bad to fight and it is just a sweet romance with a small touch of drama.
We get to see how the Drakkaris dragons are trying to cope with being on Earth and basically isolated from both their home world and the Earth denizens as well. The story is lighthearted (first snowfall) and heartwrenching (dang, I love Aegis the Emerald dragon but Zinc is really yanking on the heart strings). The fact that the Guard are close is made very clear to us through their various interactions. Mercury even pokes his obnoxious head up but once again proves himself worthy of Marina.

Grab ALL of Terry's dragon books, find a comfortable spot, and sit back and enjoy.

Once again, I want to thank Terry for offering her books on Kindle Unlimited (I borrowed this book). I have purchased and borrowed many of Terry's books (and they are all great reads) but I am really partial to her dragons.

Boy the dragons keep showing up! Can't wait for the next one!

Cadmium and Casey are so cute! The dragon guards have come to Earth to find mates, but need to learn more about humans. Casey is the delivery lady for all of Cadmium's many online purchases! He knew right away that she was the one for him, but how could he gather to know him, when all she did was deliver his packages and then leave? What a dilemma! Fortunately, Fate steps in and the story rolls on!

If you like sexy dragon shifters a little out of their element, feisty females, some action, but not a lot, a character driven story with steamy scenes, then this is for you. I would recommend that you read these in order, if you haven't already. Two slightly different, but introductory series are Double Dragons and the follow-up Tiger Protectors, but you don't have to read them. The rest in order are Awakened Dragons, Rent-a-Dragon, Date-a-Dragon, Awakened Sea Dragons and then this series. They do follow in order, and you will see characters in following stories. Please, Terry Bolryder, do Zinc's story next. He deserves a mate as giving as he is, who needs him as much as he needs her. To the rest of you, enjoy, and then wait, like I have to for the next one!!

Laughter, love and idioms

I'm in love with this Dragon shifter series. This installment is clever, funny and endearing. It show's the dilemmas and cultural differences the space dragons face in their new world. Cadmium is a big, beautiful, happy Dragon. Making the best of his transplantation from his home world, Drakkaris, to Earth. He has found a new distraction in typical current Earth fashion, on line shopping. That distraction becomes a bit of an obsession when he meets the delivery girl, Casey. Their courtship is sweet and sexy. Casey is getting over a bad relationship. She's hiding from a stalkerish, abusive ex boyfriend. Cadmium is like a breath of fresh air with his gentlemanly ways, innocent manner and hilarious attempts to conquer Earth's weather (what's snow?), colloquialisms, idioms and strange figures of speech. This book includes one of the funniest and most intense snowball fights, ever. Casey and Cadmium are a perfect match. It takes some entertaining trials and tribulations to find their way, but it's an excellent read getting there.

I love these dragons!

Cadmium is book two in the Dragon Gaurd of Drakkaris and once I started reading, I couldn't stop. This delightful book was romantic and sweet and had me laughing at the funny but naive ways words were confusing to the dragons from a different world. The way Ms. Bolryder used some of the phrases and the confusion they caused really did have me laughing and enjoying the book. The strength of Cadmium's love and desire to protect Casey, will make you long for your own dragon. You will fall for his charm and innocence, as he tries to bring Casey into his life and world. Although Casey finds Cadmium charming and hot as heck, she had recently got aeay from a controlling cheat, who won't leave her alone. Casey doesn't know if she is ready for such commitment yet. Read and find out how Cadmium charms his way into her heart and soul. I am really excited for the next book in the series. Could it be their ruler Zinc's turn or will be serious but kind Cobalt's turn. Maybe it will be the quiet but loving Chromium's turn? I can't wait to find out.

I absolutely love him. He is so darn cute. Most people with a buying addiction like buying stuff for the stuff. He buys it for the delivery—from the cutest human female who happens to be his mate. Now he just has to figure out how to spend more than a couple minutes at the door with her.
Fate (or something) steps in and gives him the opening to see her. Great time for her break down. Friday night so she has the whole weekend—so does he. No problems showing her fun, and steam. The whole dragon thing—not so much.
Then there was the whole misunderstanding. Stalker. Not sweet Cadmium, but then what else could she think. So now he has to convince her more than that he is a dragon. Will he win her again?
This was fun, the characters adorable with all of the story we count on from the author's books. I loved it and it will go on my re-read list. I strongly recommend it to fans and new readers alike.

i just love these books and this one is no exception. Cadmium has found his mate in an unexpected place, she is the woman that delivers packages to the mansion. He keeps ordering stuff so she will keep showing up. When her delivery van breaks down one Friday night he is quick to offer her a place to stay for the night.

There are a lot of funny scenes in the book, such as the first time the dragons see snow and go out to play in it. Casey loves the atmosphere at the mansion and her new friends. She is hiding from a stalker ex and has lost all her old friends to his lies. She doesn't know why all of these hunky guys are living together at this big mansion and it is sort of funny when she asks Cadmium if he is gay. There is also a funny sausage story that will make you smile.

I was given a copy of this book by the author. My review is voluntary. Can't wait to see which dragon will find his mate next. Zinc? Arsenic? Cobalt? Chromium?

More love story than action

Cadmium knew she was his mate when Casey delivered the very first package to the door. Now he orders things online all the time so that he can see her every day.
One day her delivery vehicle won't start after she delivers her last package of the day to the dragons mansion. They are always last because they live far away from anyone else. So now she is far away from town with no one to help with her car. She can't get a ride because her best friend is out of town.
Cadmium offers to let her spend the night with them and she agrees.
There isn't much action in this book other than her stalker ex. Most of the story was on the personal interactions between Casey and Cadmium along with learning a few more things about certain dragons in the house.
Eventhough this was a more toned down story, I still enjoyed it. I'm hoping that Zinc's story is next, event though I personally like chromium best! I guess we will have to wait to see.

I honestly love all of Terry Bolryder's Dragon Series Books!

I honestly love all of Terry Bolryder's Dragon Series Books! I have read all of them in all the sets. The characters are well thought out and quite endearing. I love the humor and the romance. The dragon's are all charming in their own individual ways, even the devilish one's. I look forward to the next book in this new series. And I can't wait for another glimpse of past characters. The way Terry intertwined the stories makes you feel like you are watching your favorite T.V series with all you favorite characters, and no matter where the story goes you still get to keep in touch with the series originals. These are definite must read books if you like your romance, with sizzle, action, HEA, and humor, these are the books for you!

Nice enough

Book Two is a fine addition to this series. Casey is a delivery driver who unknowingly becomes the focus for a cadmium dragon's attention. Casey and Cadmium are great together; this is a sweet and spicy tale with no exciting battle scenes (fun snowball fights don't count!). Although authors who continually repeat the same info from book to book are annoying, since this is a spin-off series a quick portrait of life on Drakkaris would be helpful. For example, since there's been no world-building in this series, a new reader will not understand the fraught relationship between Mercury and the other dragons or recognize how much he's improved; as things stand, he seems just a surly, unnecessary, unlikable jackhole. Cadmium is an improvement over the hero from Book One, so onwards to "Arsenic Dragon."

These Dragon Guards are awesome!
Cadmium is such a sweetheart! He’s found a way to see his soon-to-be-mate often, and he works it! She doesn’t know what she is in for. The personalities of the dragons are growing on me; I know all their stories will be fun. In the meantime, Casey finds herself stranded at the remote mansion, with no one to call for help. She accepts Cadmium’s offer to spend the weekend. I love how the mutual attraction builds between Cadmium and Casey. Even though she has doubts, she still goes with her feelings. Nothing ever seems to go smoothly, though, and this is no exception! This is fine storytelling, with some great scenes of the dragons experiencing new things, and ultimately, a very happy new couple. A must-read!

Special delivery

Cadmium and Casey's story was just O.K. for me. What allowed me to give it 4 Stars was the very heartfelt moments between Cadmium and Zinc. This is book two in the Dragon Guard of Drakkaris series. I hope Zinc's story is next. In this story Casey is a package delivery person and she meets Cadmium because she delivers packages to him. He realizes she is his mate so he tries everything is power not to overwhelm her but bring her closer to him. Casey has an ex boyfriend who is stalking her so she doesn't trust very easily. This Dragon shifters must find a human mate soon because it's not their bodies poison will kill them.

Again I hope that book 3 continues to get better.

I DO ENJOY THESE STORIES!

The story line is great and has elements of humor, suspense, action romance and erotica. While I am not a fan of erotica, it isn't too bad and much of that I just skipped. There are only so many things to write about sex and it becomes repetitive and boring. Normally I take a star off for that but I truly enjoyed the story of Cadmium and his mate. The humor of misunderstandings throughout the book keep it happy and fun to read. I am going on to Arsenic's story which I don't do when the book is just erotica.

I would like it if Terry Bolryder could come up with a mate that doesn't instantly go to bed with their fated dragon. Someone with a little more class or self respect. Maybe someday as I like her stories. Enjoy your read!

I really like books that make me laugh, right now I have to read a lot of other things that range between serious and tragic to downright dry. When I have time to just read for myself I want something that will make me giggle, swoon and doesn't require deep philosophical discussions to understand what the book is about.
.The Dragon shifter books from Terry Bolryder are exactly what I need to get away from the depressing winter weather and dry professional texts/books. The story is short enough to be quick read, but long enough to develop the characters. I love the innocence of the dragons and their fascination for things most people would think twice about.
Can't wait for the next one.

Brilliant

Terry has done it again brillant story.
Cadmium is a strong brave very cheeky dragon. He is deadly but has a laid back attitude. But mess with his mate and the laid back dragon is gone it's replace by one of the most dangerous dragon around.
Casey is a woman with a past her trust in men has gone but when she meets Cadmium delivery his parcel . There is an instant attraction. So when Casey van breaks down and Cadmium offers to let her stay for the weekend she agrees. The chemistry and sex between is super hot. I really enjoyed this book I hope Zinc story is next.

I want a Cadmium dragon too!

Cadmium is a metal dragon from the planet Drakkaris, and Casey is a cute and curvy delivery driver. Stuck in their remote upstate New York hideaway while they wait for the oracle to give them a mission, Cadmium amuses himself with online shopping, and thus meets Casey when she delivers what the dragon ordered - herself! Yep, one look and Cadmium's dragon knows she's the one - now he has to get past her suspicions, her disbelief, and her distrust. Fortunately, Casey's stalker ex enters the picture at exactly the right time... Cute story, likable heroine, and the sweetest, sexiest, most trustworthy dragon ever - don't miss this!

Its just keeps getting better and better! The best dragon series!

Book 2 didn’t disappoint! I love this dragons of Drakkaris ! They are pure, honest and loving dragons! Sexy as hell too. Cadmium was the “charmer “one from the 6sexy dragons friends. The friendliest, approachable and flirty of the group! He meets Casey and he does his best to win her heart.. even tho it might appear to obsess but never less he means well. Good story. The best parts are when all the dragons are together. They have the best brotherly chemistry ive seen in this shifter world!! And the humor is awesome 👏

The Cadmium dragon is trying to woo his mate. It maybe the weirdest way by ordering items online so Casey has to deliver them daily but he wants to see her daily and is having trouble figuring out how to court her properly. When Casey's truck breaks down, Cadmium is to the rescue offering her a room in the mansion and a chance to show her who he really is.

Humorous story with a dragon shifter and a human mate. I thought Cadmium was hilarious, he is trying so hard and the other dragons in the house are not helping. Can he figure out how to woo his mate and let her know what he really is without her running away?

This book grab me from the start until the end of the book.
Cadmium has found his tru mate so he goes on line buying
things just so Casey can deliver them to him she has no idea
that Cadmium is a dragon. Cadmium was her last delivery for the
day and when she tried to start her van it wouldn't start so she ended
up stay there for the weekend this is where all the fun start but it doesn't
last long things just get in the way. Will Casey be able to handle it when
she finds out that Cadmium is a dragon.

I love this installment! Cadmium and Casey had such a cute and sweet love story going on. I loved how protective he was of her and how he tried to win her over by ordering packages, but still kept his commitment to his friend Zinc. I also enjoyed the appearance of Mercury in the book. Casey was a strong woman and Cadmium really accepted her independence, even if he fight always understand earth customs (the “sausage” scene had me laughing so hard!!) I can’t wait to read about more of the dragons of Dakkaris!!!

Another Winner

Not surprising Terry Bolryder did it again. I absolutely love this book. It's fun to see the dragons learning about our world. I love how they are a little unnerved by a human woman. Cadmium is a sweetheart and Casey is a hard working woman. She teaches him about snow and he teaches her how to trust. Sparks, or should I say stars, fly when these two come together. A must read book if you like dragons and steamy loves scenes.
