I thought the pros/cons list I did for book 1 broke it down well and in a clear and concise way, so I’m going to do that for book 2. Book 2 was better then book 1. I REALLY wanted to like this series, I just can’t. It wasn’t consistently cheesy, but the parts that were, were even more cheesy then book 1 and this time it was a little much. There wasn’t as much of a toxic and controlling dynamic with the man and his love interest this time, which is a plus, but the progression of the Grace/Liam relationship didn’t feel natural to me, it was a little abrupt and quick. I don’t know if it’s the author, or if they just had a bad attempt at writing YA fiction, but this series is not for me.
Pros:
-better then the first book
-great and natural melding of the storyline from book 1 to the different POV/story of book 2
-interesting and different concept that held a lot of promise
Cons:
-still not great
-please never let me hear or read the term “nose gasp” ever again 😬
-finding it hard to believe this woman would fall for a psychopathic killer that she was terrified of in 4 days. Even if he’s “changed”.
-I think the nurse is supposed to be likable but she’s really not. The only ones that don’t annoy me for one reason or another are Lou, The little girls (who were in the first book minimally, second book barely at all), and the criminally insane hospital escapees
-parts are even more cheesy then the first book and it’s a little much 😂 it’s gone past cute cheesy in this book

It’s time for a new world, a better one.
This one has become worn out. It’s used and battered. Something we broke.
We can’t put it back together, not the way it was.
And us leftovers, the ones still surviving, are in the worse shape.
We’re different now.
We are all different.
Some of us are different in good ways and others bad.
Some of us got weaker while others thrived.

When I first started off with THE LAST HOUR I was a bit confused. Here we have a new POV from a new character. I wasn’t entirely sold on this guy and even a few pages in I contemplated moving on to another book. So glad I didn’t. Because things got good and I was hooked.
Liam is great character that takes some warming up to. Sure he is crazy, no seriously...he is crazy. We start off with him in a mental institute. But for half the book we see how he copes when the end comes and his transition into the new world is welcomed. He is definitely one of the ones that thrives. It is what he does with this newness that will determine if it is for good or bad.
Lou doesn’t get left out in this one. Not at all. She just has to give a little leeway to Liam so their stories can merge. I really had mixed feelings for their relationship or whatever you want to call it. It starts on rocky ground and practically stays there. But I could kind of see where Liam was coming from at times. It’s just a big mess for their kind. I had hopes that maybe they would be able to work together in the end. And maybe, just maybe, they can.
One hot mess of an ending where everyone is concerned, but I am so excited to see what happens next. I am not sure when the next one comes out, but I will be getting it as soon as it does. 5 Stars!

I just can't even with this author! It's not like reading a book, it's like walking through the apocalypse with the characters, hold on, I think I just got some blood on my face...
The writing talent of Tara Brown is unmatchable, she can tell a tale like no other!
For book 2 we start of with a few new characters, the kind that you shouldn't love, but you totally do! Liam is something else, and I love him, crazy dude that he is. We meet him on day 1 and walk through his first couple weeks of the apocalypse, his journey is world changing.

Oh, man! Things just got even more interesting and exciting in the series. Lots of action in book 2 and I like it.

Book 2
Omg, I can't even put into words how freaking amazing this book is. I love Liam, then I hate Liam... then I love to hate Liam. My heart BROKE and I ugly cried. This book will run you through so many emotions you'll want to throw it and by the end you'll have grabby hands for the next! Get it, read it, love it. I would give this book all the stars in the sky if I could.

Guys, I can’t say enough how much I freaking LOVED this book! Tara’s take on zombies and the apocalypse is amazing. She had me captivating in The Seventh Hour, and had me spellbound with The Last Hour!
We get to see Lou and the gang again, see how they are on their journey, how they are coping with everything that they learned in the last book regarding the zombies.
We also get to meet some new characters! Liam - you want to hate him and love him at the same time! His journey was hard and it changed him. In his eyes, that’s a good thing. But in the eyes of humanity, not so much.
**The blood that moves on its own, the nanorobots, they’re fixing me. Or breaking me.
Either way they’re changing me.
When Liam and his gang meet up with Lou and her gang it’s not going to be all welcome mats and tea!
I can feel a war brewing, and not just with the living and the undead! I can’t wait for the next book, I need it ASAP! If you loved The Seventh Day, don’t miss this installment!!

I liked this book but not quite as much as the first
This one starts with a new character Liam’s POV. It begins the day everything hit the fan and we learn a bit of his backstory along the way. Then we switch back to Lou just after the first book ends.
I liked this book but not as much as the first. The beginning from Liam’s POV had me on the edge of my seat guessing what would happen next and wanting to know more about these new characters. When we switch back to Lou, she splits from the group and heads out to find some answers to help keep her family and friends safe. While looking for answers she ends up meeting Liam. This is where I lost some interest and I think it was because I missed her family. I suppose that’s because the author has written the characters and their relationships together so well. I can’t wait to see what happens with my favorite characters in the next book.

Surviving Being Bitten
This series must be read in order. The first book is "The Seventh Day". This is the second book. I can't wait to read "The Earth's End."
The world ended with a whisper that turned into screams. People changed into monsters whose only imperative was to bite another person and then they would usually expire. Being electrocuted after being bitten is the only way to survive the bite normally. Then the biters no longer see you. After seven days the Nanobots are supposed to self destruct and take all the biters out with them. Will they self destruct? Or will the biters survive? Can the world ever be normal again? Why are normal people turning against the bitten? Why do some of the bitten feel they are better than the normal people?
This series must be read in order. The first book is "The Seventh Day". This is the second book. I can't wait to read "The Earth's End."

I accidentally started on the middle book in a trilogy....oops.
Fun but not highbrow. A little bit Zombie apocalypse and a little bit nanotech apocalypse told from 2 very different perspectives. Liam is a psychopath who has killed 7 people who is somewhat temporarily cured of his evilness by being infected. Eventually he just believes in genocide for everyone not like him and wants to control those like him so being cured is not what I'd call it.
Lou is a relatively normal girl with normal family dramas when she is infected and she tries to protect those she loves. Lou's dad was a military scientist who had a role in the outbreak.
Lou and Liam do not get on!

Liam is crazy! He was crazy before the zombies, but even more so after. I would not want him to be my king. Although he is smoking HOT. I'm afraid Lou will lose herself after she opens her mind to the bots. What Liam has discovered what he can do with the bots, he wants to make everyone like him. What would the world be like if Lou and her friends don't stop him? If you loved The Seventh Day the consider reading book 2, you won't regret it.

Cliffhanger....
Ok...I had to wait for the second book because the first book was AMAZING. I devoured this second book when I finally got it...it's as good as the first book in the series!
The only problem with this book is that it ends abruptly and now I'll have to wait forever for the third book in the series! UGH!!!

I hate cliffhangers but this is a great book.
I'm not sure why I like this book so much but it really gets into my head. I even had to re-read the first book because I've read so many zombie book I couldn't remember what happened. That book was good the second time. You should read this if you liked the first one.

OMG what a journey!!
First off, thank you Tara. The dog still lives! I love this author's books. Her Born series and this one kick butt. I love the strong young female lead in both sets of books.
Three types of humans still roam, the regular humans, what's left of the zombies, and the ones that are a mixture. The battle is on to see who will survive. Bring on book 3!!

Oh my, that ending!!
The Last Hour by Tara Brown is the second book in the Seventh Day Trilogy and this book is just as good as the first one. We are introduced to a new main character, Liam. He is quite the character. I had a hard time liking him but mid way through he started growing on me but by the end I was ready for Lou to shoot him. I can’t wait to see how this all ends!

Debbi reads books
I finished the second book yesterday, and while it was good I liked the first one better. I got so involved with the characters in the first book I was disappointed when the second book started out with new characters. The first group does show up in second book and Tara did manage to hand me my heart on a silver platter halfway through the book. Be sure to have some tissues ready. I am now onto the third book. Happy reading friends.

What a ride! This is the most interesting book I've ever read on apocalypse zombies! Lou is a great character and that's all I'm saying because I don't want to spoil anything for anyone! Just hurry with the third book please!!!

Amazing
I loved the first book! But this one, oh my Gosh, it was amazing! I loved what the book was about and how the storylines for the new characters played out. I love how Lou has enhanced herself but I was sad about it as well. Can't wait for book 3!

Always great but at beginning didn’t understand how they both will fit in but then understood. Wow I expect Liam to change a little for better but I guess losing the last hope does that but come in controlling people just messed up

I love Tara Brown!
I love love love this series! I'm a huge zombie apocalypse reader and a huge women's action heroin!! If this became a movie I would die to play a part in it!!! I can't wait to see where this leads!! Biting at the bit here Tara when's the next book coming out!?

It takes a different direction from the first book. There are new characters, we hardly see the ones from the first books, other than the main character. This book is not as unpredictable as the first one. However, still a very good read.

Tara Brown does it again with another amazing story. At first I was a little hesitant with the book starting off from a different perspective than Lou but coming to the end it all makes sense. Holy crap I need the ending! So much happened. I’m reeling. Kudos Ms. Brown. Kudos.

The second of the trilogy. I couldn't put it down!! I loved the transformations of Liam and Lou. I can't wait for book three!
