Wait Quietly: How to achieve inner peace through contemplative prayer

Rate this book
This little book has between its covers the key to a power that can change your life for good and forever. However, applying its principles to your life does not involve ‘Ten Simple Steps to Success.’ It is not a ‘get-rich-quick’ formula, it does not subscribe to the so-called ‘Prosperity Theology’ for that carries with it a fundamental misunderstanding of what prosperity is. Nor is it a mantra to be repeated daily however transformative it might be claimed that to be, for Jesus did not speak approvingly of repetitious prayer; ‘vain babblings,’ he called them. No, it is much more simple than that, and much, much more wonderful. Through it you can experience the fulfilment of God’s promise of true prosperity for your life. Your world-view and your self-image will be transformed, and it doesn’t matter whether you are rich or poor, male or female. The religious denomination to which you are affiliated if any doesn’t matter either, nor does the colour of your skin or the land of your birth, your language or your culture. They are all irrelevant, what matters is that you embrace one simple principle, and then you apply it to your daily life.

Beautiful Reminder

I. Think it is was well written. A great reminder that our faith is not. Based on religious complexities rather relational simplicity.
