4 star Bad Boy Stepbrother Romance, well Fox is not a total bad boy more like a bad ass!
Fox Fitzpatrick , left his home five years ago and joined the military ; he became an incredible sharpshooter who was then offered a position in an elite group. Really the group Snake Eyes is a mercenary group one such that you do not turn down their offer unless you want to be sent home in box. Fox really did not want to be a killer and found a way out , unfortunately that way left him dead, bit truly dead but dead as far as his mother and stepsister Dani and her father are concerned he had to lay low . Which he does quite successfully, until his step sister Dani is pulled into the groups search for him! His reason for going to ground allowing everyone to believe he is dead gone in one horrible instant, Snakes eyes has used the one thing sure to pull him from hiding his love for his stepsister .
Roxie (dani) Roberts, young starlet finds herself supporting a candidate for presidents fundraiser one minute and the next held down and cut with. First, I need to say that this was a not a common and usual stepbrother romance. This was so much more!
The history between Dani and Fox is really long and when he left home and enlisted, it all starts to go down. Dani is known as Roxie, some famous artist from Hollywood and got used to the feeling of knowing that her stepbrother was dead while enlisted.
However, everything she knows turns upside down, when she finds herself face to face with Fox and he tells her family how in danger everyone it, especially Dani.
So, that's when a LOT happens, so much action, suspense, and fear that it even got my heart racing. I really enjoyed reading this, it already started with action and thrilling excitement. It kept my attention from the start. This is so much more than the usual taboo romance that has out there. Dani and Fox's story is so much more, it's exciting, exhilarating, lovable, bad-ass, thrilling, tense and amazing!!!!
I found this one on Amazon by accident, and that was my first book by Tabatha and I already love her work. Her other stories in this series are already on my wishlist, can't wait to read more about it. Really recommend this one. :)

Fox and Dani have been step brother and sister since they were in high school. Dani is Roxie Roberts she is a famous celebrity, Fox Fitzpatrick had severed his time in the military, Fox Fitzpatrick had severed his time in the military. He had to join a group called Snake Eyes. By him joining this group Fox had pretend to be dead. Now he has to protect his family and Dani. OMG!!! It was so suspenseful and oh so good, I really enjoyed this book i it was a fast read, it gets you from the first page, I couldnt put it down 5 stars for me.

I love a good step book!

They are 2 people who were already in love but Dani's got a father who is a true blue a8shole and he kept them apart. They have a chemistry that was years in the making.
And honestly you can't go wrong with a sexy alpha male who knows how to use a gun!

This is the first book I have read by this author. Our H is Fox Fitzpatrick, an ex-military turned Snake Eyes member. Our h Dani, a famous celebrity that goes by Roxie Roberts. Fox and Dani are also step-siblings.
At the beginning we meet Dani who is being bulldozed by her father/manager. She ends up going with him to a political shindig and men come in on ropes, kill the politician and cut down Dani's cheek and then leave. Having no idea who these people are or what they want, Dani is back home at her dad's.
Fox, who is pretending to be dead, sees on tv about what happen to Roxie Roberts (or Dani as he knows her). Instantly he knows who it was and why. When he goes back home to attempt to protect Dani, he is met with resistance from Dani and especially her father. Come to find out her father had ordered Fox away when they were younger when he saw them kiss once.
Dani goes to her apartment and is attacked there, Fox gets her out and sets about protecting her while trying to get her free from the danger.
Honestly, I hated the very beginning, hated it. I almost put the book down but really wanted to read the 2nd and not miss anything. After I got over that part, I really enjoyed the story.

There's also something about a man hunt and a terrorist organization. It really didn't make sense.

This is the first book I've read by Tabatha Kiss and I'm anxious to read more of her stories.
This story has a little bit of everything. It does fall into the stepbrother trope, but I didn't feel like that was a primary aspect of the story. Black ops, assassins, hiding and running for you life - lots of action.
Fox was in the military as a sniper and basically not given a choice to join a group of assassins called Snake Eyes. He escaped the life, but now one of the bad guys knows and is using his step-sister, Dani, to lure him out of hiding. I really liked Dani (aka the actress Roxie). She was very likable and felt relatable, particularly the scene when she is first attacked. I never did see her stand up to her father and I do wish we'd had that scene of her standing up for herself. The action kept this book moving along and before I knew it I was on the last page. Plus, there's a twist towards the end I didn't see coming and loved it sneaking in there on me!
This is titled book 1 of the Snake Eyes series and I'm interested to see what comes next and if we'll see more of Fox and Dani (and the supporting characters).

Bodyguard by Tabitha Kiss was offered to me as an ARC in exchange for an honest review & since I hadn't read anything by the author previously, I was intrigued. Fox is a former member of the military living quietly in a small town in Iowa. He keeps to himself. but occasionally visits a call girl for his entertainment! But even though he has a regular girl. he uses a fake name, pays cash & never removes his shirt!! He's a mystery. He has a stepsister who is a movie star - he kissed Dani on her 18th birthday & the very next day left home to enlist. His family believe that Fox is dead, killed on action
The stage is set: there's action aplenty in this tale of secret operations..mercenaries carrying out secret tasks, plus twists & a double-cross or two.. There is an overbearing father who manipulates his daughter & won't give up & a couple of minor characters who add humour just when it's needed. The Bodyguard is nothing like the run of the mill stepbrother bad boy stories It's fresh. fast & (almost} furious. a good read & the start of a promising new series.

Fox fell in love with his step-sister Dani shortly after their parents married. Dani's dad witnessed a kiss between them and demanded he leave. So Fox left without a word and joined the military. Dani was hurt and angry. However, he's watched Dani from afar all these years. Dani has become a successful actress with his father behind her constantly pushing. When her life is threatened by the secret Snake Eyes organization, Fox knows it's because of him and he will do whatever is necessary to keep Dani safe.
I love protective men and liked Fox from the very beginning. Everything he did was to protect Dani and his family. Dani is stubborn and still mad Fox for leaving. But as soon as she finds out about her father's interference, she forgives Fox.

I had to check to see what I had read of Tabatha, I did recall that name ... I loved "Muffin Top" such a great read if you have not read that one yet??! This one is totally different, but still hot & steamy parts. maybe not as steamy as Muffin Top but a different take. Bodyguards & their people they care for ... neat take. Must read. I will check into more of this series to see if I wanna read any more ... Love Tabatha style of writing .. and would not hesitate to read more of her books. ( :

I could not stand Dani/Roxie. Oh my god she was so shallow and narcissistic.
She was honestly too stupid to live.
It made me dislike the majority of the book.
I didn't mind Fox.
I liked Boxcar.
I liked Mrs Clark.
Hell I even liked Darla.
Hated Mr Roberts.
Mercer was a cartoon villain. Once again (noticing a pattern with that)
But Dani.. Oh my god I hated her. I almost stopped reading because of how much I didn't care about her.

For honest review. This story has a lot of action .Fox is a member of of the snake eyes but left pretending to be dead but when they go after his step sister Dan I who he loves a lot he comes out to take them down .This story is awesome and a fun action story. Pluss well worth the price.

I really wanted to like this book, and for the most part I did. After joining the military, Fox unwillingly ended up in a very dangerous secret organization as an assassin. Fox was the super sacrificial hero. Everything he did was motivated by his love for Dani and to protect his family.
I found the first scene difficult and unnecessary. Fox with an "escort" who looks like Dani...just weird. Readers will understand exactly what I mean when this part is read.
Dani's father (Fox's stepfather) was a jackass to the "nth" power. He treated Dani like a child, and she let him. She's like 23, but no backbone whatsoever! It was quite infuriating!
And Dani! Ugh! I really wanted to like her because she's the girl Fox loves but had to give up. I just could not connect with her. There was just too much push-pull with her and she knew she was in danger. I wanted to sympathize with her because she grieved him, thinking he was dead but I just didn't feel it. It's crazy because Dani was forward, feisty, and sassy with everyone but that uptight, manipulative father of hers.

Probably closer to 3-1/2 stars. Sweet, second-chance romance story. Fox is Roxie's step-brother. Roxie's real name is Dani. He was basically forced from their home when Dani's dad caught Fox kissing her. So Fox left the next day and joined the military where he was recruited by a sinister organization. He didn't choose to join -- they don't really give you the choice. But once he realized he could get out, he did and he's been in hiding. When he got out, it looked like he died to the rest of the world. But now he's back because the group he ran from has flushed him out with threats against Roxie/Dani. Oh, but before he came back, he was screwing a Roxie-lookalike prostitute. Not creepy at all, lol. Still, Fox seemed like a good guy. He genuinely cared about Dani, and while the whole story was a bit over the top, it was still entertaining. Not sure I liked it enough to continue with the series, but maybe.

This whole story A BIG NO.
The hero fucks a girl/ escort just because she looks like his love interest.
He left and faked his death just because after ONE KISS with the heroine, heroine’s father threatened him and he went to some kind of gang.
After finally coming back to “live” he doesn’t even explain his actions, he LEAVES her again even when he knows it’s a shitty thing.
Then he comes back, has a super plan how to make up for everything and he still fucks up… The girl takes him back, she even has to FUCKING FIND HIM, not the other way around.
AND his girl escort and his LOVE start being friends. The heroine finds it hilarious that he had to find a girl that looks just like her to fuck. She doesn’t feel disgust, or anything bad, she thinks it’s FUCKING FUNNY MEANWHILE IT IS SO YUCK. * also hero watches heroine while she takes a shower, because of course, he can’t HELP HIMSELF*

Story had potential but not my cup of tea. We open the story by hearing that he has hired a protitute who looks like his fantasy woman who happens to be his stepsister. Yeah he can't be with her so he hires a lookalike prostitute so he can fuck her. I don't mean to be crude but those are the facts. I like these stories. Most are good but this one come on! This hired protitute was on the bed getting eaten out by him. No sense at all. Not logical too. Seriously stupid. He didn't he never freaking deserved her viginity. And the female lead had no character really. No personality at all. She was just an empty canvas for other people to be told what to do. There are more critical moments that I have to bash but I'm not wasting my time. I have more stories to finish.

Second chance romance with Bourne feels
First of all, i read Secret Love, which is said to be the new version of this book with few things added.
I see first thing different is the prologue.
This book doesnt have one. When Secret Love have one in the beginning of the book.
From that prologue alone, I'll say Bodyguard is a better version.
A second chance romance, this book have Bourne feels like all over with a dash of taboo romance for Dani is his stepsister.
But overall, i quite like the second chance romance with the Bourne feels.

Action packed, love story. I loved it
Over protective father. Step siblings want each other. The girl is a famous movie star. The boy is x- military forced into a off the book assassination squad. Boy fakes his own death to get out of the squad. The squad figure it out and go after his family. This is full of action. I'm an arc reader. Thanks for allowing me to read and review this book.

You have an overprotective and controlling father, you are a superstar and recognized everywhere and an elite squad of contract killers are using you for target practice to get at your stepbrother, who you secretly are in love with.
Its a fun packed story, entertain with good characters and dialogue.
Worth a look.

Loved it
Loved this. Muy one complaint would be for that one more chapter, then an epilogue. The extra chapter because I would love to have seen her father's reaction to the news of his daughters New bodyguard, and an epilogue because if it's written correctly, it can make the book feel complete. Like, we know for sure they had a happy life a year later our many years later. The way this book ended wasn't really on a cliffhanger but I didn't feel completely satisfied.

Fox and Dani have a little unresolved history. Fox seems to be the one with all the control in this story. He pretty much decides the way he wants the relationship, and the direction of time together, to go. Near the end, Dani started to fight back a little bit for what she wants. It was a nice fast paced story.
