A Thug's Devotion
A hustler sets out to free his adopted father after he was arrested but will have to forgo the only woman he loves who also happens to be his adopted father's daughter. VICTOR KNIGHT, who is known only as Knight by many and a hustler by nature is forced to relocate from his home town Flint, Michigan to Miami, Florida. Learning a lot as a child who grew up in the street, Knight could provide for himself and keep up with life until he meets DONOVAN KING who later teaches him the rules and way of a true hustler, and the life of a dope boy. Knight finds himself taking to the hustle quicker and becomes stronger than his adopted father could imagine, thanks to his background. Knight falls in love with KARINNE KING, the daughter of Donovan. Things begin to fall apart after the odd and questionable arrest that lands Donavon in jail fighting federal trafficking charges. Knight devotes him self whole heartedly into freeing his adopted father while he risks losing Karinne, the only woman he truly loves.

Yes!!!
I don't even know why Knight and Karinne playing these tit for tat games. They belong together and if Donovan has his say so, they will be married. Now, I need part 2 ASAP because I know Rosa isn't going to take this slap in the face laying down. What going to happen when Knight and the team meets Dollar and his boys? Revenge is a dish best served cold. Was Dollar using Karinne just to get at Knight? I needs to know these things. Good read.

Great read. The plot was great. Hopefully Karinne matures in part 2 the bitch really pissed me off. I wonder if Kia is actually working for Rosa?? Is Rosa behind putting Donovan in jail?? A lot of unanswered questions. Will Stephen keep it 💯. Like the way Donovan groomed Victor to be a thoroughbred. Can wait for part 2 too see who’s phony who’s fake

I enjoyed reading this story. It kept me entertained from the beginning to the end. There were some inconsistencies in the story however it wasn’t enough to stop me from reading. The story was well developed and you were able to follow the characters even as new characters were brought in throughout the story. The protagonist happens to be at the right place at the right time and given an opportunity of a lifetime that he can’t pass up. The antagonist happens to be several different people who pop up at times throughout the protagonist take over. I can’t wait to read part 2 and more from this author.

Review of A Thug's Devotion
Once again J.L. Rose has me excited to read the next installment. I really enjoyed reading about Victor McKnight and his rise to the top. Thank you Donovan for molding him into the man you knew he could be.
He doesn't make split decisions, he thinks first. He also has the respect and admiration from everyone he come in contact with.
Karrine needs to grow up and fast. A spoiled pampered princess who thinks the world revolves around her and only her. I can't wait to see how part 2 plays out with these new revelations.

Let me see my say on this book...Knight and Karinne will always be together even if they are not. I think Rosa is the snake that landed Donovan in jail. Eric and Karinne’s mother boyfriend need to get their asses whooped again. I’m wonder what gonna happen when Knight and his boys catch up to Dollar and his boys? I already have my mind set on what I think is going to happen but I’m leaving it to Mr. Rose to tell me. Can’t wait till part 2.

Great read
Really enjoyed this book. Knight really shocked me, he was truly devoted to his mentor. I loved hid no nonsense attitude, it was we all the way or nothing. Karinne is young and impatient hopefully she's learned from her mistake. Easy to follow this SC story and to fall in love with the main characters. Part 2 is SC really needed!!

Karinne & Kia work my nerves
Knight is the man! I love his personality, his business drive, his attitude but these guys always get with silliest girls I say girls cause they not women. I'm ready to see how this team that Knight puts together handle this business and lastly I am so glad that he kept and takes care of Cameron. On to part 2

Loyalty
This was a good book. It left me with a lot of unanswered questions. Hopefully I'll get them answered in part 2. The relationship Knight and Karinne is crazy. This is the first book I read by this author and I wasn't disappointed. Good book J.L Rose.

Can't wait for part 2
First time reading this authors work and I am very pleased! I love the storyline and I'm loving Knight and Karianne. Knight came up as a young boss and I'm loving how he handles business. Can't wait to see what happens with him and Karianne
