As part of the elite Search and Rescue team for Drake’s Crossing, Aimee Florette trains hard both mentally and physically to be the best she can possibly be. Her job leaves little time for relationships, but when a suspicious series of avalanches opens up a new cave in the mountains, what she finds inside just might be the catalyst she needs to open her heart.

Rhyolite has awakened into a strange and unfamiliar world. Unable to find the dragon who imprisoned him and exact vengeance, he returns to his cave to find some of his treasure missing. A short hunt turns up the thief, a human woman who captures his attention, and possibly even his heart. Although he knows humans don’t have the souls of dragons, this strong, capable woman might just be worthy of his love.

Desperate to hold on to the only person she’s ever cared for—a beast of a man, unlike any she has ever known—Aimee is willing to do whatever it takes. After all, love is love, even if it is blind. But so is hatred, and when it reveals itself, Aimee and Rhyolite’s newfound fiery love may be reduced to embers, along with the town itself.

Can they find the catalyst that will help their true love burn forever? Even if it means sacrificing who they are?

Amelia Jade loves to write the stories of tall, growly shifter men and the women who come to love them. Living out in the back-country near the mountains, she keeps her own alpha male close by, to keep the bears away and keep her warm. In her down time (which is rare), she loves to read science-fiction with a dash of fantasy. You can often find her curled up in front of the real wood-burning fireplace, her nose firmly buried in a book or her favorite ereader. The cold can't bother her there!

EMBER

Rhyolite is a dragon and during a fight, gets knocked out. He wakes up six years later. His confronted by a human trying to steal his gold. So he thinks. But Aimee is part of the search and rescue team for Drake’s Crossing, and was out searching for survivors of a avalanche. She comes across a cave and a mountain of gold. When she takes a bit to show her boss, a dragon steps out of the dark and runs and eventually she gets away. To only go back and see if she’s crazy, but she isn’t. And a dragon who feels a little out of his depth, when he makes a few startling discoveries of his own. Now he must rely on the woman he tried to kill, to show him how to live in this new world his woken up in. This is another great book to add to the series. It was a fun and entertaining read, and all round enjoyable. I loved Rhys and Aimee, they made intriguing characters and a sweet couple. A very enjoyable read and I can’t wait till the next book. A copy was provided to me with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book with my honest opinion.

Rhyolite is in for a surprise, during a fight with another dragon he is hit on the head and wakes 600 yrs later. During a SAR (Search and Rescue) mission Aimee comes across Rhyolite and soon begins to teach all about the new world he finds himself in. The hero from the first book in this series Inferno, Obsidian makes an appearance and they join together to defeat a dangerous enemy and save to Aimee. When I pick up an Amelia Jade book I know I'm in for a treat, and this was a fun book and I am looking forward to the next one in this series. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book as an ARC.

A wonderful read.
I just loved the humour that was intertwined throughout this whole story. I just adored the banter and silliness between Aimee and Rhyolite. It made my day and lifted my spirits.
Add on the fact this was a very good story with a wonderful plot and I can only say the author has a hit on her hands.
The interaction with Obsidian from book one plus the contact with another dragon made this interesting.
The reference to Obsidian’s purple dragon brother Onyx, adds another dimension and twist to this series, cannot wait to see what Ms Jade does with him.
This is my honest review of this book.

This is an amazing story, filled with everything you’d want in a paranormal romance. With characters that are so real you want to be their friend, the story unfurls beautifully, culminating in a royal battle that is very exciting. I love the dynamic between Rhys and Amelia as they learn more about each other and come to realize that the universe had made each just for the other. The swell of emotions is powerful and the ending leaves you with a very satisfied feeling. The bonus scene is just icing on the cake for those of us who accessed it. This is another winner from Amelia Jade and a wonderful addition to this new series.
I received a complimentary copy from the author.

This was a great addition to the series, and I really enjoyed the book. Aimee and Rhyolite were both awesome characters, and I really loved seeing the two of them together and following their story. There were a few minor things that I didn't care for in the plot, but overall I enjoyed this book very much and was hooked all the way until the end. I'm looking forward to seeing what else the author has in store with this series. I was gifted a copy.

Moving Mountains

Drake's Crossing is all about the dragon. Aimee and Rhys are so good together it was a pleasure to read about their story. Strong characters that don't give in. Now my only complaint is that Aimee's description did not allow me to be able to picture her clearly.

Ember (Drake’s Crossing Book 2)

As with book 1, I enjoyed the book and its dialogue. It’s a quick engaging read. Romance with a dragon hero and a strong heroine and an HEA. Still there is room for more dragons if the author wants to further this part of the series.

How...

How confusing would it be to fall asleep and wake up two days later, only to discover two days were actually more than 600 years! It definitely makes for a good story!
