Will She Quench His Thirst?
I am loving this new series, these vampires are so intense yet a mere slip of a female can bring them to their knees.
Adrian is a very old Vampire as far back as the Roman Empire he is a daywalker. Set in his ways and in total control of his very reclusive life, he has his choice of women to feed from and finds pleasure in just satisfying them. Until his is afflicted by an insatiable hunger that takes that very old control he has had for centuries from him. He has no idea why this is happening to him and seeks answers, but can only uncover that he has the Vampire's Thirst, but can find no answer for how to quench it, it is only getting worse with the passing of hours and is afraid he will lose total control and go into bloodlust. Then he walks into the Directive's Ball afraid he might lose control among so many, he begins to feel a calm that leads him to Lavinia a half breed wolf woman that takes his breath away and realizes she is his anchor to sanity. Lavinia also feels a strong pull to the very being she was always taught to be weary of.. Will she be able to go against her beliefs and help the stricken vampire sate his Thirst?
Bigotry can be overcome no matter where it comes from.

Oh my! I love, love, love this collection! I've been a fan of A.K. Michaels work for years, especially her vampires and werewolves, so when I heard she'd created two Kindle World Collections dedicated specifically to her vision of their supernatural world and was allowing other writers to play in her sandbox, I was in paranormal heaven! lol... And the icing on the cake, quite a few of the guest authors are also some of my favorites, as is the case with Monica La Porta! I fell in love with La Porta's work after reading the first book in The Fifth Moon's Tales Series two years ago and have literally devoured everything she's released since. And once again, La Porta doesn't disappoint with Adrian: A Vampire's Thirst Kindle World Novella. If you haven't read any of the other books in the collection, no problem; you can read any or all of the stories in any order. Each release is a standalone read with no cheating, no cliffhanger, and always a happy ending! And this book is no exception! Adrian is a fast-paced, easy-to-follow paranormal tale filled to the brim with danger, drama, action, adventure, suspense, angst, heartache, passion, and sweet romance. The narrative is beautifully written in the third person with clearly discernible his and her perspectives. The dialogue is smart, well-executed, and flows effortlessly. But without a doubt, my favorite component of the story is the intriguing cast of well-developed characters, and this is one of the areas where La Porta truly excels. Her beautifully depicted world building, vividly depicted scenes, and larger than life characters are all truly exceptional! I was instantly smitten with Adrian! *sigh* Okay, I'll admit I'm a vampire groupie but ancient Roman vampire Adrian Alberti was just so hot and completely swoon-worthy! He was the hero of my dreams and such a gentleman... but with a very naughty side! lol... And halfbreed werewolf Lavinia Rossi was absolutely perfect for him. Lavinia may have seemed meek and inexperienced in the beginning of this story, but her bravery, loyalty, and love shine brightly as she navigates her way through her new life with Adrian which brings me to another component I truly loved about this story. La Porta also incorporated elements from Michaels' other Kindle World, A Wolf's Hunger! It was fabulous! Yes, Lavinia may have been a halfbreed, but she could shift and she could fight as well as any warrior, and her hunger for Adrian would not be denied! It always makes my little old heart flutter when a courageous, sweet heroine brings a strong alpha male to his knees, regardless of their species, and Lavinia did exactly that! I loved it!
No spoilers from me but I will say this... Charming, handsome, reclusive, ancient daywalker vampire who possessed money and power, could have any woman he desired, was always in control of his life and destiny(or so he thought), and was about to get the surprise of his very long life-check! Beautiful, innocent, inexperienced half-breed shewolf running from persecution, barely scraping by, and just trying to survive-check! Danger, drama, action, malevolent enemies, evil machinations, and a grandfather who would put the devil to shame-check! An undeniable vampire's thirst, an inescapable wolf's hunger, fiery attraction, explosive passion, heart-melting romance, and a love that will defy the laws of the universe-You bet! That and a whole lot more!
So, did I like this story? No, I LOVED it! Would I recommend it? You bet, and I am but only for adult readers! It does contain quite a few dreamy sex scenes along with several scenes containing explicit language and violence. But never fear, the bad guys do get their just reward! This book may not be a full-length 300 page novel but it packs quite a punch! And FYI, I declare Adrian and Lavinia to be the cleanest couple in the entire series with the most showers and baths on record! lol.. Will I read this author again? Absolutely! ANd finally, was I entertained? Completely! Fabulous entertainment and an awesome read!

Lavinia has been hiding her true nature from her friend and room-mate for too long and she hopes to remedy that soon. But when tragedy strikes Lavinia is left reeling. Especially when The Diretive turns up at her door! But an ominous presence keeps turning up in her life and she needs to go somewhere safe. Little did she know that safety would lead her to a very handsome, sexy and virile vampire!
Adrian is one of the oldest vampires in existence, think Ancient Rome old. He can walk in daylight unlike younger vamps and he is proud of the control he has over his vampiric tendencies. But when he begins to act oddly, his friend Mark, from the Directive, begins to worry that his legendary control is slipping. But when Adrian continually gets flashes of uncontrollable blood lust he wants to lock himself away out of harms way. But instead he meets the lovely Lavinia and immediately calms!
Lavinia is wonderfully written. She is in an emotional maelstrom with the loss of her friend, break-ins at her flat and now a very ancient vampire claims she is his! She was taught vampires were evil and that is a lot to overcome. She does show pluck and doesn't back down and challenges Adrian at every turn. Adrian in turn may be possessive and cavemanny (is that even a word - it defo should be!) but he also understands the turmoil Lavinia is feeling and doesn't push to consummate their bond or have her accept when she is not on an even keel.
One of my favourite scenes between Adrian and Lavinia was at the ball...talk about sex on legs! That scene had no explicit scenes but OMG my kindle was on fire with the intense passion that sprung off the page! My other face scene involved sexting - what a hoot! Love this !! Twists and turns and family feuds! I'm hoping Mark gets a book of his own sometime!

This is Adrian and Lavinia's story . Lavinia decides that during her camping trip with her roommate , Carolina , to tell her what she really is . Thinking that Carolina was sleeping she decides that tea would help her to sleep . When someone knocks on her door at the same time the tea pot starts to whistle . She feels that something bad is coming and yes it did . While with the detective Mark Lane she starts to really feel odd things . Adrian is a very old vampire who for some reason suddenly starts to feel like her is dying of thirst . Without understanding what is going on he keeps drinking cold blood but is starting to crave fresh from a live source . This in itself is unusual for him because he knows he is not a murderer . When these two meet at a ball all it takes is one look and they know that there is something pulling them together . I love how strong a woman Lavinia is ! She is no ones doormat !! That tango dance ?? WOW HOT AS HECK !! After the second attack Adrian decides to that they will take off to his island . I adore when they finally mate !! And when he asks her how her kind mates ??!! Wow ! " I'll forever associate showers with ....... " Love this !! This story has so many twists , turns and surprises that it will keep you turning the pages !! This is well written and strongly recommended to all !!

Lavinia is a helf breed werewolf and living her life longing for some sort of stability in her life after her family were constantly on the run from purists intent on disposing of all like her. Then her roommate is murdered and life becomes a nightmare for her. At the Directive’s Masquerade Gala Adrian and Lavinia are drawn together in a meeting which completely changes their fate forever. However can they beat those chasing after her and survive to live the life their attraction promises?
Wow - buckle up and prepare for a ride through lots of danger, drama, action and even passion as these two fight to survive and stay together. I was drawn into their world and was completely behind them as they struggled to beat repeated attacks and attempts to take Lavinia away from Adrian. I was definitely hooked and couldn't put it down until I had finish it. Well written and a joy to read.

Adrian is the personification of control and an indomitable iron will, so losing that control is not only unwelcome but unforgivable. Lavinia is the answer to his problems and the perfect match to one such as he! She is fearful yet strong, courageous in the face of unparalleled opposition! " Adrian " is Monica La Porta's contribution towards this wonderful series and like the other times after reading her work, it left me with a sense of peace and accomplishment. For those of us who have been following the series from the beginning, most of the story was "expected to happen", but the way It was delivered can only be done by this amazingly talented author. This was pure elegance in literary form even the love scenes are erotica and not porn, tasteful and stylish.
With all the rubbish in the paranormal genre that is being spewed at us readers, expecting us to be thankful for rotting our brains, it is such a pleasure to realise that there are real authors out there that take the time to grace us with their imagination. One of them is certainly Monica La Porta.

Lavinia is just getting on with life, goes to work to pay the bills and trying to spend some girl time with her best friend and roommate but when that roommate is found dead it leads to secrets being uncovered that put Lavinia’s life in danger.
Adrian is hit by an Intense uncontrollable Thirst, he doesn’t understand what’s happening to him but once he comes face to face with the Beautiful she-wolf all becomes clear and he’ll destroy anyone who threatens her.
There is some beautiful writing in this book, the description of how the Thirst affects Adrian is intensely descriptive and easily conveys his pain.
Another great addition to this series.

Excellent Adventure
You would think that the directive would pass out a memo about this Vampires Thirst with all the recent vampires being afflicted. But this Thirst makes for a wonderful story.
This books leaves you addicted with each page turn wondering what was going to happen next. It's one twist and turn after another. Will this hot patient Vampire ever get to claim his mate once he finally finds her.
This book also teaches us that prejudices against people span every walk a lot.

This book is very well written, action packed highly entertaining story! You have half breeds, wolves, and vampires .. oh my. You will travel from one location to the next and be kept on your toes.
Now, it is a tad bloody.. but so well put together that it doesnt matter to you. The author did a great job of putting together a well written plot that keeps you on the edge of your seat!

What a fantastic addition to the Vampires Thirst series!! I have read a few of Monica la Porta's other books and this one does not disappoint. It tells the story of Adrian and Lavinia and what a brilliant story it is. It stays true to the series and is full of hot romance, action and surprises. I can't wait for the next in the series!!

This book literally ate my hours up, I cannot even stop reading the story because of the action, suspense and romance . Adrian is an ancient vampire and being old has certainly made him powerful. As a rich vampire, he has everything that he needs yet he still feels lonely living on mansion by his own. Suddenly, he experiences the Vampire Thirst and loses his control that never happened in his entire existence. He is terrified of this unheard symptom as he experiences the painful tremors all over his body that makes him very weak. Lavinia is a half-breed werewolf who hides her existence due to the racism and threats thrown by other species. She works as a waitress at a restaurant every night shift until Adrian is a very understanding, has impeccable manners, gentle, sweet, and handsome man who intends to protect Lavinia at all costs. I love how the story was well-written plus the action scenes has greatly captured my interest. I love how Adrian worships the ground that Lavinia walks and I cannot get enough of their sweet moments that makes me *swoon*
The intimate scenes were hot and passionate that is heighten by their connection and I love how they are perfect for each other. Seriously, I love Adrian how he is gentle around Lavinia which makes him one of my favorite fictional characters.
It was worth the read and I cannot get enough of how Adrian keeps assuring Lavinia of his love for her. Great story for readers especially if you love paranormal books and I wish there was bonus epilogue scenes in the later years of their lives or maybe a vampire series.

Adrian is a very old vampire, he has complete control over everything in his life and is unprepared when his control is tested. Fighting his uncontrollable urges he searches for the answer to his unending blood thirst. Lavinia is an unregistered half breed, when an officer of the paranormal security agency knocks on her door her world gets nocked off it axis. I am really enjoying this new series by these great authors. Similar to the Wolf's Hunger series these powerful alpha men are unprepared when their seemingly ordered world get crazy. Each story is unique in its own way, the journey to find the answer to the problem is not always easy and makes for some interesting reading. This story was easy to follow, moved along at a good pace and had great characters. There are some interesting supporting characters and a few hints at a possible story for them. A mystery to solve, lots of bad guy drama and another example that prejudices are not to a particular race. If you have not started this series you are missing out. I look forward to seeing who gets the next story.

This is another captivating book in The Vampire Thirst Series.

This is a great book; this book is the fourth book in the Vampire’s Thirst series written by Monica La Porta. Adrian is a very old vampire, he is two thousand years old and it able to walk in the daylight. His like is very private and has control of everything. However, recently he has been losing control and has a mysterious thirst which is wreaking havoc on his mind and body. He finds out that he has to find his true mate or he will lose his sanity. Lavinia is a half breed werewolf who has spent her childhood running from pure shifters who want to kill all half breeds. When Adrian is drawn to Lavinia he realizes that she is his true mate.This is a great book with a wonderful story and well developed characters. This book will keep you reading long into the night. If you are looking for a great book, then you need to read this book. I am looking forward to reading the next book by this great author. An Amazing Story from start to finish. I was absolutely captivated by the whole story line.

We have Adrian an ancient Vampire who starts to lose his grip and he is wanting human blood but not just their blood.
He finally finds some respit at a ball of all places.
Lavinia has never really fit in and she has kept her secret for a very long time but when her roommate ends up murdered it's time to come clean.
The Directive is sent in to keep Lavinia safe and find a murderer.
I enjoyed this fast paced story that takes us from one place to another and all the while keeps us in the fight.

The Vampire Thirst turns good vampires into ones that think they are going crazy! They can't stop craving fresh blood, not bagged like they use to drink but fresh from the vein blood! Adrian doesn't understand what is going on with him, he thinks the Directive is going to have to put him down...and being a daywalker it's going to be hard. Laconia a half breed wolf doesn't know what's going on. Her roommate has been killed and she meets a very handsome vampire that she is drawn to like nothing she's ever experienced before.
Great, fabulous characters and a GREAT storyline. All the Vampire Thirst stories are good and the authors are the best!

I love this book and I like the activities part in this book too. This story is about Adrian and Lavina who fall in love with each other.
Adrian is Day Walker Vampire and Lavina is a halfbreed wolf. Adrian never believe he will find someone to love him forever. I couldn't put this book down when I started read it. This book have a lot of activities and fight in this book in too. How Adrian and Lavina meet was sad but they had a happy ever alter for they in future. I remember this book to my family and friends to read also all other books too.

Someone's going around killing women and Adrian is wanting blood like he hasn't in a very long time. Lavinia is a half breed werewolf brought into it all when her roommate becomes on the murdered woman and she finds out she's the bloodmate to Adrian. When wolves come after Lavinia they have to figure out why they want her. And through this all they keep get interrupted when things heat up.
A great addition to the series. The author did a great job telling Adrian and Lavinia's story. There's the heat you want and surprises about Lavinia's family that she didn't even know.

Love between a vampire and a werewolf
The story of Adrian and Levinia is fantastic. Monica La Ports has won me over as a reader. Adrian a very old vampire that can walk during the day. Levinia a half-breed werewolf who's friend was murdered are an unlikely pair. Adrian has been in control since he was turned and now he's out of control with the Thirst. Levinia feels the attraction but doesn't understand. Will the two get together before Adrian goes crazy and will Levinia's family get to her first.

Meh...
A few editing errors...like "quitted" which was both a tense error and an imaginary word. The overall writing was good but this isn't something I normally read. Truthfully I found the story exceptionally shallow. A little mystery and a ton of tastefully described sex...and more sex...and more...well, you get the picture. Unfortunately, I bought a couple of the rest of the series while on special price. So I will check them out in hopes they are better...

I LOVED this. Monica has paired two very unlikely characters but it works so well. It is very much a PNR but also a murder mystery. All the characters are great and I'd love a spin off from this book where Mark Lane finds love.
The Thirst can do strange things to it's victims and this series leaves you wondering how they will deal with it and does it affect both parties in equal measure? This is a great addition to the series.

What a wonderful book this is , Adrian is a daywalker a very old vampire with morals and a strict code my which he lives until the thirst comes from no where to rock the very foundations he lives by. Lavina a half breed trying to stay under the radar of the directive is caught up in what Appears to be a serial killers web. But it turns much more sinister than that, full of twist and turns this book ail keep you hooked till the end ..
