An ancient book destroyed. A kingdom threatened. A Reverse Harem Paranormal Romance.
Elizabeth travels to Aerwyna with her four dragon protectors, a magical place she didn't know existed, where dragon shifters live out in the open. During their journey to find the legendary wolf with dragon offspring, a rare and ancient book was destroyed. Upon their arrival in Aerwyna, they're told that if they can't repair the book, Elizabeth will be escorted back to her home with the order to never return.
Refusing to live without Elizabeth, the men delve into the magical world to determine how to repair the book. Soon they discover that the Queen's magic is tied to the book, and the consequences of the damaged book could shake the very foundation of her Kingdom.
But the sacrifice to repair the book is high, and Elizabeth may have to choose between saving the Kingdom and the four passionate and protective warriors who have staked their claim on Elizabeth.
Can Elizabeth keep the men who saved her from her painful past? Or will she have to sacrifice them to save the whole dragon race? And if not, can she choose between the four men who now possess her heart, body and soul?

I am so glad I started reading these books after they were all released. I would have been irritated if I was reading them while they were still being written and published. Mainly because they are not broken up like normal books. They cut off with no ending. As a reader, I feel like I am getting shorted if I purchase a book and just as the action picks up it just ends. No tying up of any loose ends. The fact that they are all available on KU and I can chain read them is the only reason that I have continued the series. Instead of a bunch of little 100 page books with no endings, they could have been combined to make one cohesive book. This is really a pet peeve of mine. I have a tendency to not read authors that pull this cutting books apart where the action starts crap. I will be very cautious of reading any books by this author unless the entire series is complete and available on KU. I certainly won't waste money on partial books.
Dnfd where she has to sacrifice her love for the main dude to solve a spell and he has to be married to the evil “whore”blah blah bleck. I didnt stick around to see how it worked out. I was tired of it.

I'm already in book three but I'm still perplexed about everything, especially over Elizabeth. I haven't stopped furrowing my forehead since I started reading this series, except for the occasional funny moments, that I think there're already permanent lines between my brows.
It's hard to grasp her goals and priorities when it's all over the place. I can't see her getting back to her pack because really she hasn't done anything to reach that goal besides train for a while. She hasn't even tried to understand her magic necklace, which probably could have helped with their book predicament but nooo, go with the sacrifice ceremony coz that's what the queen suggested.
Right, we don't have a bright heroine here folks! Beware for your braincells' sake. I lost a few of them while reading, especially the part of the sacrificial ritual. I mean they've been warned to take it seriously but reading the things they offered, (a sash, a poem from an ex who wasn't even the true-love-totga kind, just a tolerable ex like WTF?!, a fucking BRA, and a cartridge from a very special video game), I didn't blame the magic for attacking the stupid girl and making her lose everything. Really, she deserved it.
It's also hard to dive deep into their emotions when she's always so horny. Not funny, when she's contemplating serious things and then one of the guys enters the scene and suddenly all she can think about is screwing them, it's hard to take her seriously. I mean, I'm all for the SMUT but I also want some substance.
Then there's the guys. I don't get them, I can't differentiate them, they all look the same to me. And I don't mean just physically, they don't act in a ways that are distinct and particular to their character. I always had to know who's talking because otherwise, I won't recognize them.
Everything is honestly confusing. Or maybe I just need to sleep this off before picking up the next book, because so far my ratings of this series is below my average, which is 2.5-Goodreads stars.
So I have to say this wasn't my favorite of the bunch because of the big sacrifices that are coming/have already been revealed for Elizabeth and it definitely sets everything back a bit. I did like how the group was coming along in the beginning but there has to be tension and fighting for each other to make a HEA eventually, then I'll take it haha. I did like them finding the person they needed to, talking to them and seeing their life, but the government/authority acted how I thought they would unfortunately. While I was listening, I was not sold on the Queen (this changes as the series goes on) and all the roadblocks that she was putting up. I understand the relic was destroyed but seriously??? Ughh but I was able to listen for a couple more books until they cut me off til next month hahaha (go Scribd!) so I know things play out better than I had imagined.
I definitely cant choose a favorite after this one. We do get more from the various guys, some backgrounds slowly exposed/teased at. I love how possessive but I worry they won't be able to share her if they do get to that point in this story haha (I know its RH, but its hard to imagine it working out as I listen).
In terms of narration, thought Angela did a good job on this one. A lot of emotions thrown around in book 3 of this series, especially with some of the gut wrenching plot twists Ava threw in. Solid 4/5 stars from me (I think some of her male voices in this one could have been stronger, which is why I couldn't give the narration 4.5-5 like I did previously). Still very good, listened on already to book 4 because I needed to know what happened next!
This is the third book in the series. They do require reading in order. And each book picks up immediately where the last left off.
Overall, I like the story and the world created here. There are some expected aspects to the story, but there are also some interesting twists. It's full of multiple bad guys (and people to hate), some mysterious good guys, and all sorts of supernatural creatures. Aside from an assortment of supernaturals, book three has followed along that route rather well. We aren't 100% who Elizabeth and her guys should trust as things are constantly turned upside down, and this leads to Elizabeth finally beginning to understand her magic. Unfortunately, understanding doesn't always lead to a happily ever after, and things take a wild turn for her. Elizabeth must make a choice, and she may not be the only one to suffer its consequences.
I've really enjoyed following the story through its different twists and turns. I do wish there was a little more character building. Throughout all three books there is this bond between Elizabeth and the men, but I feel as though we really only see it with two of them. For the other two its as if its simply there and the reader should just accept it. It makes it harder to connect with the characters at times. I often find I'm connecting with story only when certain characters are interacting. So hopefully the next book brings a lot more relationship and character developments.
I'm just whipping through these Fated Alpha goodies! They are THAT addicting!!
I just love discovering more about this magical world; meeting colorful characters, learning about its history & unraveling new mysteries.
Super bummed about the lack of sexcapades though. We got some finger-play but geez... we also have four hot & horny dragons. Give them more than a taste, Elizabeth! This is a reverse harem book, is it not? Sex is synonymous with this trope! << I felt like this & then BAM! I was gifted with sex in the epilogue. Woot-woot! It may have only been with one of the guys but I can deal with that... for now.
That villain we love to HATE, b*tch of all b*tches, Sophia... I wanted to pop her in the boob so bad! Sinking her claws into Hunter, blackmailing him into the bonding ceremony... What a pathetic wench. I get Hunter's motivation for sacrificing himself but didn't like it one bit! At the 77% mark I couldn't help but say, "F*ck you, spell book. F*ck 'em all."
What I'm having trouble dealing with though... the cliffhangers in this series. I think I might be #dead after yet another one. *grabs her bag of Cheetos & a Mountain Dew to help herself recover*
On to the fourth book in the series, Elizabeth, Alpha of Dragons. Can't wait to see what happens next!
Side Note: Not a fan of people using the word "vagina", unless it's in a clinical manner. It just isn't sexy to say it in the bedroom. For the sake of sexiness, use "p*ssy".
In looking back at my review of the previous book of the series I find I feel similarly towards this third installment (and they do need to be read in order). There are still a great deal of creative scenes, lines or moments that I just love, including some steamy scenes. Unfortunately, even after finishing the third story in the series I still don't feel a strong connection to the main characters or their connection to each other. I suspect based on other ratngs and reviews I see that I am in the minority here.
As before, there are some awkwardly written/incorrectly structured sentences and some errors, but they continue to be easily overlooked, partly due to the fast-paced, easy read nature of the story. There are so many things I enjoy, but I think overall I would like it better if their world was explored in more detail, and the characters and their relationships explored a little more comprehensively. That being said, these things are considerably better done than in several RH books/series I have read over the last few years, which leaves it falling somewhere in the middle of the scale for my personal tastes.
My emotions were all over the place with this book.
Elizabeth and her guys have found Emma and her sons. They have proven that a relationship between a wolf and dragons will result in dragon babies. Yet they are being brought before the Queen. Little do they know that the Queen is on their side. But Elizabeth will have to make a huge sacrifice to fix some of the problems in the dragon kingdom.
I absolutely love this series! My emotions are always all over the place and it makes my heart hurt. I just want Elizabeth to have her happily-ever-after.
She has been through so much in such a small amounty of time, I feel like it will be too much soon. But then again, I like all the angst. I like how she isn't just jumping into a relationship.
I'm so excited to read the fourth book to see how this will all end.
I highly recommend this series to anyone looking to start it. It is absolutely fantastic! It's so great to see wolves and dragons brought together in this dynamic. You usually see one or the other.
The search for the other dragon/wolf couple was interesting. But the men still haven't wowed me with their super awesome badass ninja skills yet. Infact their fight scenes are pretty lame. They don't act cohesive, or like a team. Doesn't seem like they have any fighting strategies. And they get hurt very easily and often. Having Elizabeth save them?.... Immature untrained Elizabeth always popping in and saving them just in time. The romance factor is non existent. So much teasing and little moments that are starting to get more annoying than titillating. We still really don't know anything about any of the guys except Hunter. We meet his sister. And there are vague mentions of Christian having family. We know nothing about Avery or Easton's family , homes, anything. I mean they can't always live with Hunter since the apartment only has two bedrooms. And the whole sacrifice thing, was very very anticlimactic. Honestly nothing really changed at all. I'm going to give book 4 a shot. But I'm really not connecting with any of the characters. Or the plot.
I received an ARC copy of this book and I am voluntarily giving my review about it. Sorry I will not give away any spoilers so if you want to know what happens you gotta get the book and read it for yourself but you must know you have to read the first two books first otherwise you’ll get confused on a lot of things. Anyway each book in this series that I’ve read from Ava Mason just keeps getting better and better. I don’t know how many times I laughed and I don’t know how many times I cried or got angry while I was reading it. Basically I went on a roller coaster ride of every emotion possible while reading Elizabeth and the Magic of Dragons so much I had to strap myself into my seat otherwise I would’ve flew right out of it. Ava Mason so utterly fantastic at weaving her stories that you feel like it’s all happening to you and that is pure talent. I wish I could have given this book more than five measly stars because it deserves ten or more!
SPOILER! Oh what chaos has Elizabeth stumbled unto?!? After a magical book is destroyed in their search to find a mated dragon and wolf, with little dragonlings, Elizabeth and her quad have to make some serious sacrifices to fix the book. And of course her greatest sacrifice would be her dragons, which is just so….arg! Seriously, this Fated Alpha can not catch a break it seems!
Not only that, the Queen of the Dragons is in danger and it becomes even more apparent that nothing everything is at it seems. The series definitely keeps getting more interesting, and I feel that the author is finally starting to hit her stride. That being said, there is still a significant lack of character development. Yes, Elizabeth has been getting physically stronger due to her training but beyond that….she still hasn’t grown into the Alpha mentality that you would expect from someone in her role.
Still, the series isn’t over yet so fingers crossed!
This 3rd installment of the series does begin to get more into the fiery romance side of things for sure later in the book. lol The plot thickens with the political goings-on in the dragon clan. They definitely aren't as together as they would let the outsiders think. Sophia is a b*tch that seriously needs to get lost. UGH I can't stand the tart. There is also more to the Queen than meets the eye as well. Sacrifices are made but are they the right ones and are they enough? The Queen of the dragons warns that if it is taken lightly there could be consequences of their choices. The author leaves this installment at a cliffhanger again. I assume if you are reading up until now you're okay with that as she did so in the first book (I think it was). But just a warning to have the next book ready :) Still loving this series and looking forward to getting to the next book. ^_^
The third book in the series and things are really starting to heat up with the story line and with Elizabeth's relationships with the guys.
This book starts right back up where book two ended and we jump right back into the story. There are quite a few shocking twists in this book, some which had me really worried, but it's all part of the story and I see why these things had to happen, doesn't mean I'm not upset by them though. I felt much better about Elizabeth in this book too and felt she has definitely developed more than in the previous two books.
I'm now very much looking forward to seeing what happens in the next book and hope I won't have to wait too long for it as I'm desperate to know what Easton has discovered.
I received an ARC of this book and I loved it! I had enjoyed the first two books of the series, but there was something about this one that was so much more intense. The connection and the love that Elizabeth and “her guys” felt for one another was powerful. The obstacles placed in their way were unnerving. The sacrifices they were forced to make were heartbreaking. Yet, there was hope in the end.
Though the series has not yet reached its conclusion, and though there are many battles still to be fought and trials to endure, there is also a sense that they will eventually find their HEA. I suspect it will be unexpectedly sweet.
You truly know you love someone when you have to give them up
Wowzers! The ending blew me away in this one. It was hot and heavy and oh, so delicious. And all the more delicious because it came after Elizabeth had to sacrifice the thing(s) she loved the most. There were some wonderful plot twists, and cloak and dagger bits thrown in that made the read so much more enjoyable, but unfortunately, over way too soon. I can't wait until the final part of the series. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book, and I borrowed it through the Kindle Unlimited program too.
Three books into this series. Each book is very short which does not help. I feel like I a ping pong ball so far in this series bouncing back and forth between but never really getting anywhere. There is not much relationship development because there is no time. Then there is a weird “obstacle” in each book so far. Now she is going to challenge the crazy ex for alpha but the crazy ex is not even their alpha. She is their boss for some odd reason. Why would you keep her around? And still have pictures up of her? Many things just don’t make sense and often the FMC or MMCs act very immature. I’m not sure where this series is heading or how long to stay invested in it….
Even though this was another short book it went by kinda slowly, the relationship between her and her men is taking forever (it’s taken her 3 books to decide if she wants ti bond with 1 or all 4, even though in book 1 she already realizes she has feelings for them all!)
There was an attempt in her life and she almost lost one of her men to a nasty ex who was blackmailing him. She’s trying to figure out her magic with the necklace and repair the magic book they damaged in book 2.
She’s met members of a secret society that her father was a part of leaving more questions to be answered.
Hooray book 3 and I was so excited to see what happens next with Elizabeth and her Dragons. This book starts where book 2 finished and it’s only getting better and better as it goes along. In this book we find out more about Elizabeth’s dad and how much Elizabeth has matured from books 1 and 2. Elizabeth and her Dragons still need to fix the book but do they take the chance and maybe destroy it altogether? Absolutely fantastic book and I can’t wait for book 4. I recommend this book you will be missing out if you don’t get it and that would be such a shame.
Things are really starting to heat up in this book. We get to meet the dragon queen as well as the bloodthirsty media in Arwyna. Sophia still makes me grind my teeth towards breaking point she does get some of what’s coming to her. I hope she gets smothered in her sleep. Anyway, the men are excellent, possessive and alpha in their own ways. Pretty dresses and tuxedos rule in this installment, but so does pain. This is a sexy but bittersweet moment in Elizabeth’s life and I can’t help but worry about what’s going to happen next!
This third book in the series by Ava Mason is, if it's even possible, even better than the first ones as she introduces the dragon queen, more details about Sophia, as well as more betrayals. I love the way she works with the wolf's power and the dragon's magic as she has the reader wondering whether the greedy sexy wolf will choose all four dragon men or settle for only one. And, OMG, does she know how to leave a real doozie of a cliff hanger to lead into the fourth, and so far, final book. This is a rather late review of an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
I've been reading this series from the beginning and loving Elizabeth and her guy's. Hunter the leader, Christian the "Zen" one, Avery the moody one, Easton the geek and magic one . .she loves them all and they love her. Will she finally get her guy's or will magic and the Queen stop them? You need to read these in order to understand the whole story...AND they do end in cliffhangers! But it's SO worth it.
This is the third book in the RH Fated Alpha series and it picks up right where book two ended. There is plenty of suspense, action and twist and turns to keep you pulled in and wanting to know what is going to happen next. That is pretty much all that I can say without giving any spoilers. This series is a must read and you have to read the first two books in the series in order to know what is going on. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book
Elizabeth has to make some extremely tough choices. What I don't understand is how to get around the sacrifice. Eaxh book has a new quest that the 5 of them must go through. I would have liked more time getting to know the men's backgrown, but at least there was a hint of Hunter's. Turns out he is a celebrity in the dragon world. I could have done without the cliffhanger.
In this one she continues to build her relationship with her bonded men, but also has to fight for them and losing them. Sophia wants Hunter, and due to a book they damaged she has to give up her bond with the others to fix the book. at the end, hunter breaks the bond with sophia and mates with Elizabeth. Finally a sex scene!!
This whole series is funny, action packed, and a great female.
