أضفت هذا الكتاب بعدما رأيت أن العسل روان بن حسين كتبت كتاب على الانستغرام وللاسف لم احضر معرض الكتاب في الكويت... إن شاء الله أول ما أقرأ الكتاب سأعطيكم رأي... كم هي جميلة وتثير السعادة هذه الفتاة... ما شاء الله عليها.
أنهيت قراءة الكتاب وللأسف لم أحب ما قرأت ولم استمتع به حتى. القصة ركيكة ومفككة وغير متزنة وغير عميقة والاهم من ذلك النهاية السيئة جداً. هناك أغلاط إملائية ولغوية كما أن هناك لغط في الأسماء. تدور أحداث القصة عن بنت تدعى ريما تشبه روان إلى حد كبير. تسكن وعائلتها الثرية في لندن ويسافرون إلى الخليج للزيارات فقط. تتكون العائلة منها وأبيها وأمها وأخاها الأصغر وخادمتهم ماري. تمتلك والدتها مقهى ترتاده هي وصديقتها العزيزة ندى وأمينة اسرارها. يذهب الاخوان إلى عرس أحد اقاربهم في دبي وتخبرنا ريما عن شهرتها على مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي ورغبة ابن عمها الزواج بها ورغبة ابويها أن تتزوج من شاب مناسب قريبا مع أنها لا تزال تدرس في الجامعة. في حفل العرس تعرف فتاة تدعى لمياء ريما على رجل اسمه سعود ويقع الاثنان في حب بعضهما بثلاثة أيام ويعترفان بذلك. تعود الى لندن ويبقيان على تواصل ثم يلتقيان في دبي وبعدها تكتشف ان سعود رجل متزوج ولديه اطفال. وتدخل في علاقات مختلفة مع رجال اخرين بحثا عن النسيان وكسرة قلبها وخيبتها.

This is by far the lamest novel that I have ever read. Obviously, I mean what did I expect from someone like Rawan? Where do I begin?
To begin with, there is no depth or meaning to the story at all. I've read a lot of arabic and English romances and the romances are genuine they make you feel engrossed and they capture your emotions. On top of that, the romances in those novels are somewhat realistic. TBH the romance between Reema and Saoud was not realistic whatsoever. They meet and a day later he confesses his love for her. That's what I call a typical Khaleeji guy who is just playing around. But she doesn't notice. That's fine. No problem there since Reema is still young and only 19 obviously she doesn't truly know what it's like to be deceived especially since Saoud was her first love.
Not only that but the relationship is disgusting. Utterly disgusting! It's between a 19 year old and a 30 year old. I mean I get that in our Khaleeji community that marriages with that type of age gap still exist but more and more people are becoming unaccepting of that. Also, it is just disgusting that she would write something like that when she herself was probably 19 when she wrote this novel.
Also the poetry, was so vague and lacks meaning and definition. Arabic poetry is supposed to be vibrant and open to different interpretations but I felt as though Rawan just put in some random poetry so she can fill up the pages of the book because honestly if you take all the lame shit that she calls poetry out from the "novel" then you'd actually be left with a short story and not a novel.
A waste of time and money. My advice, pick up something else even a children's book if you can.

My friend and I went through a debate before me reading this book . My friend told me don't expect a lot from a social-media activist and a fashionista specifically .. I disagreed , I told him I have even the slightest faith that she'll surprise me ..
Let me state the obvious, surprised I was but I have to add DISAPPOINTED !!
I was completely and extremely disappointed in this novel , Starting with the story that could only be described as " Passé or Cliché " .. I think the writer didn't even sweat it , she just wanted to publish a book so the storyline was as simple as you can get and trust me nothing original.. and I couldn't be persuaded into believing this shit , bcz the writer never presented me with reasons .. The behavior of the heroine was outrageous in a way that I never understood because she can go from a conservative lady to rebellious cat , she'd sound very naive even though she comes out as an intellectual thinker and she does stuff and think in a way a 19 year old London brought up would never have .. Basically I felt like the novel was based in another dimension apparently or I wasn't given enough reasons to believe what happened ..
Aside from all that the Only decent thing is her Arabic , I mean I'd give you the credit girl you've got the language lots of writers lack these days and it contains simplicity and finesse .. good job on that ..
However the style of writing wasn't that great , she'd sometimes go off topic with all that advice and character building that a reader will just skip bcz it's boring and doesn't really helps develop the storyline ..
Another pointer is the poems between each chapter and the other .. they're beautiful in some simple way and I just liked it ..
I just thought I'd be expecting a wild storyline and a romance that will leave me breathless and all I got was this .. I am sorry writer it's either you try harder with composting a story and developing a style or you're just not cut out to being a novelist ..
Let's hope the next book I read wouldn't be as bad as this , I'm sick and tired from expecting a lot from Y'all !!

I found a copy and thought to give it a chance, why not, i might be surprised...
The story is very simple with no depth. As i was going on, i was frustrated with the lack of information i was getting as a reader, tell me more about the girl? tell me more about the feelings? the story lacked a lot!
Plus, i was not surprised :)
