Rate this book
They have you surrounded.
Fifty bikers—jeering, taunting and revealing in their catch.
Their only concern: Whether or not to cook you before they eat you.

You have two voices in your head.
One male, one female—neither of which is particularly helpful.
Your only concern: Whether you’ll have to shower twice or three times.

…Yeah, this is an Isaac Blaze story.

He’s at it again. Isaac Blaze is back in this short story, and has found himself caught in the middle of fifty bikes. Little did they know, he might only have one body, but he has nerves of steel and three minds…and they are plotting their next move. He takes on some odd jobs that make him a target. Humorous, witty writing. If you like action, you will definitely find it here.

I read this short story in one sitting; of course I didn’t want to put it down. I loved Axel Cruise’s first Isaac Blaze’s first novel, Hearing Voices. This is another Isaac Blaze story, and the two voices that speak to him in his head. The male and female voices that speak in his head are very funny most of the time, and informative the rest of the time. The first page of Keep Talking took me back to my years living on the edge of Chicago, small towns with little more than gangs to run them. Drugs were the main source of income for the community, and many of the inhabitants were related.

My favorite part of the book is when Red Beard said, you got some pretty big brass ones to come walking through here. Isaac replies that the problem is they’re so loud that people hear me coming and gives them a chance to prepare, even the slow ones, like Hillbilly Hook over here. “Call me a hillbilly again! Go on. I dare you!” shouted Captain Hook. The male voice in his head says, Hillbilly, Hillbilly, Hillbilly. Isaac raised an eyebrow and blew him a kiss. …Then called him a hillbilly. At this point Hook blew a gasket and broke rank and charged Isaac head on, leading with the question mark for a hand, screaming all the way. He got within three feet of Isaac, the question mark glinting as it scythed through the air, his denim jacket flapping open and exposing the grenade. Bold move for Isaac, but he got the attention of the fifty-seven bikers.
