The author did an amazing job in researching and writing this book. It covers from the early west into the 1970's. This book would be an extremely important piece of history especially informative of the bygone era of prostitution in the area. So many historical facts about El Paso.

Love the anecdotes in this. So much research was put into it and I very much appreciated all the little facts and tidbits about our city.
I didn't always appreciate the author's choice of words, i.e. "wetbacks," "whores" etc. I don't think it was necessary.

Excellent history of El Paso's wild west past. Mr. Frost did a wonderful job to illustrate the history but also integrate cool tidbits of why Mesa Street wasn't always named as such and how Mayor Magoffin had police issue whistles & revolvers to the local Madame's. It was a great read and I thank a friend for lending it to me from his private library.
