Rose Winters certainly didn't believe in ghosts. In her own successful mystery novels, there was always a logical explanation. But there seemed to be no such explanation for the strange things that were happening in her house, and the manifestations were upsetting her niece, Leslie, who was staying with her. Then Leslie inexplicably vanished from her bathroom, leaving behind all her clothes and a tub full of steaming water. Rose was forced to assume the role of detective in order to find the missing girl before the resident "ghost" started playing for keeps.
