I am liking these short MC stories from Esther Schmidt. While they aren't perfection, I like the instalust/ love aspect. Ronin and Anouk meet during a less than ideal situation and Ronin knows he must have her.

Ronin is the President of the Lost Valkyries. He's a scarred killer. He is definitely no "Prince Charming" referring to women as "c**ts"- (that was for Amazon) and being callous. He sees Anouk and he wants her.

Anouk is lucky to have escaped from her captor (thanks to Ronin). She is alone in life and her attraction to Ronin is instant and strong.

-no cheating
-no om drama
-ow drama - two club whores give her trouble about her weight but they are dealt with swiftly and there is reference to him and another guy sharing women which I could do without. I don't expect a hero to be a virgin, especially in a MC story, but I don't enjoy hearing about their exploits.
-steamy
- club violence - none of a sexual nature
- secondary characters were good, other than one asking the hero if he brought him something to play with and talking about sharing women, we didn't have to actually see them with anyone else. I'm hoping Bark is next
- good epilogue 12 years out which was great and boosted my rating!

Okay. I'm claiming Ronin. I practically say it every time when I finish Esther books. By now I have a freakn harem, thanks to her and her guys. But seriously. Ronin was rough and dangerous, but he had this sweet side for his old lady. Ronin was so cherishing her. And add his dirty mouth... *add dreamy look on my face* Yeah, Ronin is the whole package. And I want him just for myself. I don't care that it makes me selfish. I'm not sharing him. He's all mine.

Hero and hitman, Ronin is the Prez of Lost Valkyries MC. While on a job where he's killed two, no three men, he discovers the smart-mouth sassy heroine, Anouk with ties on her arms and legs. Too bad those dead men didn't tape her mouth shut before she accidentally knocks herself out cold trying to hit Ronin-- lol! He decides to take her with him and her story is revealed along with their connection- fast!

I loved these two because they were flawed yes, but together they were a perfect couple! The hero was a take charge, no-nonsense brooding yet cocky dude until he found his one --Anouk! "Ronin" was a fast-paced romantic suspenseful story with Crane and Romeo mentioned and secondary character from book one of this series. Brake's story will be next in this series and it should be interesting since I picked up immediately that he has a story to tell about that necklace around his neck.

Mc biker books are hard to be safe and i seen few on my tl saying this was a good safe-ish read!!

And i enjoyed it!! Anouk was a cool ass chick even when she knocks herself out trying to be free from Ronin when he has a job that kills the men who kidnapped her. Now she's safe with the Prez and the tension and banter is heating up.

He's already claim this woman and when he finds out who is after her he is bring war to them.. no one comes after his woman.. and he proves that. 

Why no 5 star well I honestly didn't need to know he had shared woman with his mc brothers.. could have kept that hush also... him always calling woman the c word.. thats worse then bitch.... beside that everything was cool


Low angst, slight om drama (drug lord who wants her)  but slight ow drama (club woman who try to bully her) , no cheating, Drama, secondary chara, sexy times, virgin gal and sorta manwhore? Idk when the last time he had woman

Ronin and Anouk's story was a great read. Alpha male and fiesty heroine. I absolutely love the way the main character's in this series find each other. These two are really great for each other.

This is a quick read, totally perfect for a lazy afternoon relaxing...well except for the heart palpation's it will cause

This series is all short books but they really pack in a great story that captures your attention.
When I finished this one, I couldn't believe I had read it so quickly. It was so full it felt like I had read a longer novel.

This is the second book in the Lost Valkyries MC series by Esther E. Schmidt. If you read Crane then you're familiar with Ronin and if you didn't read it then you definitely should. Ronin is the President of the Lost Valkyries MC, he's also a killer for hire. He's just finished killing three people in a motel and it's bad enough there was a third and extra person there that he had to kill too because he couldn't leave loose ends. All of a sudden a fiesty redhead comes hopping out of the bathroom with her hands and feet zip-tied. For some reason he doesn't wanna kill her but he can't let her go either because she's a witness. Everything changed for Anouk four years ago when a man broke into her house in the middle of the night and raped her Mom. The man was arrested but he got out early and her mom was always afraid so her Dad killed the guy to give her peace of mind. Her Dad went to prison and was killed during a fight three weeks later. After that her mom became addicted to drugs and ended up marrying her dealer. Ronin takes Anouk back to his clubhouse so he can find out what she was doing tied up in the bathroom with three men he was paid to kill. This was a quick but exciting read and I'm looking forward to the next one.

I know this is only book 2 of this series but Oh My Gosh. These guys are pure hunk on a stick and then some. And I don’t just mean in the looks department. They are raw, hardcore, tough as nails, bikers and no one crosses these guys. No one even gives them lip except the women that seem to capture their hearts at the most outrageous of times. Leave it to Ms. Schmidt to give us all of that and so much more.

Ronin is the prez of the Lost Valkyries MC and does what must be done. He doesn’t shy away from anything if the price is right or if his brothers need him. Everyone knows you want something done, you call on Ronin. However on his current mission, Ronin fails to clear the room before “taking care business” and gets seen by a red-headed, smart mouthed bombshell that seems to be in one heck of a predicament herself. And the story takes off from there. It’s funny, sexy, steamy and told as only Esther Schmidt can do. Ronin’s story may be short but it packs one Heck of a Punch. I can’t recommend Ronin, or the Lost Valkyries MC series enough. 5 Stars all the way around for this one.

Nawet nie wiem, jak to ocenić. In true Esther E. Schmidt style, you open this book, and you are captured by the words, story, characters and fast pace of the ride. No wasting any time, the characters on in action right from page one and do not stop until you reach "the end". Ronin is one tough biker, President of his MC; Lost Valeyries, and has just met his future in the one and only Anouk, who literally stumbles into his life immediately following his small killing spree in the room that she was apparently being held captive..for whatever reason, he didn't care. Watching her as she stumbles around, not noticing him or the three dead men on the floor in the room, giving him quite a show as what she's wearing (or not wearing), leaves little to the imagination, and he is very attracted to what he sees. But it's her spunky, smart mouth that seals the deal for him, right before she struggles to get out of his grasp, effectively knocking herself out in the process. Now, his next problem is finding out as much as he can about her, what she's doing there, why was she tied up and just what would he do with her now that he had her?

All those questions will be answered quickly and effectively when you grab this book and read it for yourself! This is a wonderfully fast paced read and you will not only have to fan yourself quite often, but will be turning page after page very quickly. Highly recommend this book!!!

Awesome story, it hooks you in and keeps you there to the end. Contains some violence and explicit sexual content but all in context to the story. I have already pre ordered a copy of this book but received this as a prize in a competition which in no way affects my review. I enjoy this authors books she always gives me an exciting and interesting book and this one is no exception. Always surprising and different, I love the cover it gave me a good idea of how the main character looked so I didn't just have to use my imagination which is nice. The female character is quite feisty and really suits Ronin's as he is the Prez of this MC, she isn't going to take any crap from anyone. This is the second book in this series into the Paranormal world mixed with MC and so far is a win-win as far as I am concerned.

I love Ronin!!! Can I keep him? He's rough, dangerous but after one look at Anouk she sparks something inside of him. He wants her like none other.

Anouk doesn't have a great history, then in comes Ronin and practically sweeps her off her feet. He's a dirty talking biker.

I couldn't get enough of these two characters. They will heat up your Kindle, make you swoon, and your heart break when you know what their pasts were like.

I don't think I say it enough (just every review) but Esther Schmidt knows how to give you a story that will hook you from the beginning and when you get to the end make you so mad because you just want more of the characters.

This is a short read that I devoured in a short amount of time and even now I still want more of Ronin and Anouk.

Damn I want a Ronin for myself! In Crane’s book Ronin made a comment about finding a woman like Faya and he definitely found his equal. He was dangerous, tuff, and not someone you want to mess with especially when it comes to Anouk. I loved how their relationship started as lust but then turned into something amazing. I loved when he told her, “Throw it out, Anouk, give me all that dark shit that happened to you in your past so I can carry that shit with you. I will make fucking sure you will never have to swallow any more hurt from anyone”. This quote just shows you the kind of man Ronin is and how much he wants to help Anouk through the hurt she went through in the past.

This was a short hot read and did not disappoint. The way Ronin took care of Anouk , you can really feel how much he loved her and how much she loved him too. Every time I read a new book of Esther’s my book boyfriend list keeps getting longer. Can’t wait to read Bark’s book!

Ronin is Prez of the Lost Valkyries MC. He is a physically scarred, killer for hire. Always in control and never does relationships. That is until he meets Anouk.
Anouk is a redheaded, smartass who is hogged tied in a bathroom when Robin meets her. The are immediately drawn to each other and let me tell you, forget sparks, think combustion!!!!
Once again Esther provides us with unforgettable characters that draw you in from page one and take you on one hell of a ride. Can't wait for next book!!!!

Hot fricken DAMN!!! I knew Ronin was going to be good but man I can’t find the words to describe how great a read this was. Book Two in the Lost Valkyrie’s series has been well worth the wait. I could lick um read this bad boy multiple times and it’ll feel like it was the first time. A short, hot as (insert bad word here) read has made a hot and steamy night even hotter. Great job Esther!

This was a hot, dirty and sexy novella that I read in mere hours. Ronin is the President of the Lost Valkyries MC and while out doing a job(hit) he gets the surprise of his life in the form of Anouk already tied up might I add. Anouk is a spitfire heroine who after all the downs in her life is no longer afraid to give as good as she's gets. Ronin is use to things going his way but Anouk becomes an exception to his rules. The chemistry is explosive and panty melting hot and once Ronin decides that she will be his he will do whatever it takes to protect her. The mouth on that man will scorch you so be warned that by the end of the book you will be melting and wanting more.

Esther is the queen of instalove stories and what I think I love about them is that it could so easily be a full length novel, but she gives us everything we need to make it a great read quickly and then done! She gave us exactly that with Ronin! This couples story comes in hot and fast but leaves you wanting more. I highly recommend checking out this book and the rest of the series too!
