Natasha Farrant grew up in the heart of London's French community, and currently combines writing with her career as a Literary Scout. She is the author of two successful novels for adults, Diving Into Light and Some Other Eden, both published by Transworld. She lives in West London with her husband, two daughters and a large tortoiseshell cat.

Apart from the 12 year old Florence talking like a mature woman it was an interesting enough read with a plot to hold the attention most of the time. There were way too many characters to remember but they weren't essential to the action so it wasn't a major flaw. This filled a gap but I won't be seeking out any more of this author's work.

Theres something I love about this book that I'm not quite sure of as it's not in my usual genre. It might be a pleasant association from the time when I first read it perhaps, coupled with my complete inability to remember 75% of the plot a few years after the previous read through. Many many reads later, I still love it as much.

Really enjoyable after a slow start. I lived in nyc, now uk and visit this area in France so that was a big pull. A little weird, she had feelings for her first cousins....lots of issues not addressed in the end.

Overall a good story. However, it started off very slow and some parts don't totally make sense if you think about it.
