Money can't buy everything, least of all Janeen Warner's affections. She is bent on making a name for herself as a kaleidoscope designer and refuses to allow anything but her talent reap that reward -- even when a famous composer, whose music captures her soul, steps into her life. Georgios Andros feels as if he's lost the magic of his music. Too many tours and recording sessions have left him empty and passionless. But when he looks into one of Janeen's kaleidoscopes, he sees the spirit and soul of the woman who created it, awakening music in his heart he feared he'd lost forever. Trying to win Janeen's heart, Georgios uses his influence to pave her road to success. But Janeen wants to taste success on her own, without the help of Georgios's money and power. Will her stubbornness push him away, leaving her with an empty purse, an empty heart, and a pocket full of principles?

Blanche Marriott began writing romance novels in 1991 while balancing her career as a wood products manufacturing manager. She often joined the troops in the factory, working on sanders, drills, and saws. It gave her time to "talk" to the characters in her head and figure out what they would do next. In 2001 she switched careers and now works for a CPA firm as an accounting assistant, specializing in payroll.

She has completed 14 novels while staying active in 2 writing groups, serving on the Boards of Directors several times, and a number of conference committees. But the best part was the life-long friendships she's formed with so many writers, published and unpublished.

Her first published novel, KALEIDOSCOPE, won 2nd place in the 2003 WisRWA Write Touch Readers' Award for published authors. Her second book, WAY OUT WEST, won the prestigious New Jersey Romance Writers' 2003 Golden Leaf Award for Short Contemporary. WAY OUT WEST was also a finalist in the 2004 Virginia Romance Writers' HOLT Medallion Awards.

Her current novels are APRIL'S FOOL and HIS BROTHER'S BABY. She also has a non-fiction humor book, BORN TO BITCH, chronicling life's little annoyances.

Blanche lives in Rhode Island with her husband. She enjoys gardening, reading, and playing with her grandkids. You can visit her website, www.blanchemarriott.com, or email her at blanche@blanchemarriott.com, or follow her on Facebook (Blanche Marriott)

One word: amazing!! I haven’t read very many romance books so I was a bit hesitant about reading this one but after the first chapter I was hooked. We have Janeen, a self-determined individual who wants to do everything on her own, and I mean everything. Watching her two brothers stumble through life she is so determined to do everything on her own that she is go-go-go at everything. When a strange dark and handsome stranger enters her shop she has to stop and catch her breath but she still keeps her wall up because that is all she knows how to do. Yes, as the story continues she does let her wall come down but her inner voices remind her of the life she has led and Janeen is so torn she is willing to put this mysterious man behind her. Her heart is torn and so is her pocketbook as her business is hanging on by threads. This mysterious man is famous but not in Janeen’s eyes. The looks and sounds of him have not been heard by her and when he tries to assist her, fireworks occur. Stubborn Janeen and this caring gentlemen seem to hit it off on the wrong note but he does not back off. Persistence to a point, he tries to be a part of her life and assist her with her business but he becomes frustrated, when things backfire. Are they just different people who see things differently or does she just needs time?
When I first saw the page count of this Nook book, I thought it would take me a week to finish but I could not put this book down and I consumed it in 2 days. These two people from such different worlds were yet so much alike, if they could just sit and enjoy each other instead of trying so hard. Could they ever reach that part in a relationship? I had to laugh a few times at Janeen and her attitude; she carried her pride so high. Great book, I truly enjoyed it.
Clean content.

Refreshing

It was refreshing to read a book the was a romance without the explicit sex on every page. The characters were cute and the lack of poor grammar and misspelled words was appreciated.

When two creative forces meet, sparks are bound to fly. Enter Janeen, a kaleidoscope designer, and Georgios, famous composer. These two, through the words of their creator, Blanche Marriott, make every page sizzle. A beautiful story about two delightfully stubborn, winning characters who find love among the arts. Kudos to this author for her magic!
