Well researched biography of a fascinating time in history, the Restoration era of Charles II, & his "harem", led by long term mistress Nell Gwynn, who proves to be a very interesting & richly colorful character in her own right. Born into poverty, & raised between a tavern & the theater, she was a kept woman in an era when that was was not only acceptable, but even expected by wealthy men!
