Chance, I loved your book. The friendly banter between Luke and Mimi, I loved it. And I completely understood why Mimi felt so insecure. The toxic marriage, the low self esteem. I felt like I was reading my story. You really delved into the most intriguing intimate sex scenes I’ve ever read. Your main characters were very Sexy, thought provoking, exciting, strong and vulnerable. I loved this book so much. Thank you for allowing me to read it.

Wow, where to begin with this review. First off I want to say I love Chance Carter and his books. Whenever I get a chance to read his books I jump at it. So if you get a chance read this book! It is freaking awesome. Second, this book is wonderful. It is an everyday read that could happen to anyone and is brought to life on your Kindle. I could not put this book down.
Emma (MiMi) and Luke have been lifelong friends nothing has ever happened between them, nothing has been felt between them. They are JUST FRIENDS. There is nothing hidden between them. Mimi is now divorced from a horrible man and wants to know what is out there. So she asks her best buddy Luke to help her out.
Luke is a man whore and is proud of it. He is not afraid to admit it and is not afraid to hide anything from his friend Mimi. So when she asks him to help her find her "sexy back" he doesn't see a reason not to help her.
But what happens when two friends find themselves together in highly sexual areas? Will feelings come forward?
Again this is a book that if you have time you must read. I loved it and I am sure you will too! I voluntarily read an advance reader copy for my honest review.

I absolutely loved loved this book. I was enthralled from beginning till end and could not wait to get off work to get back to reading this story. Emma is such a relatable character and much of her life experiences is something my self or someone I know has gone through which made her as a character stand out even more to me. Luke is the perfect balance of Kinky bad boy and lovable hero. Following thier journey of self discovery into not only their true selves but their feelings for each other was a amazing thing to behold. I could feel each emotion flowing off the pages. Chance has a way of writing that keeps you enthralled from beginning till end not one page,paragraph or sentence lost my interest through the whole book. He has such a great way of truly understanding the world from the female perspective. He is a great author I have enjoyed many of his reads and can not wait to read more from him in the future.

This is a wonderful book that grabbed my attention right away and kept me turning the pages until I finished. The characters are complex, intriguing, and likable. I enjoyed getting to know them and seeing them realize what was right in front of them all along. I look forward to reading more from this author in the future.

This was a really good book that pulled me in from the beginning, and kept me hooked until I turned the last page. The characters were realistic, believable and enjoyable. I thought Luke and Emma where the perfect match from the very beginning. I do love the friends to lovers story lines and this one had all the feels and made you want to read more about this couple.

Protecting Her Heart was a very enjoyable read, Luke and Emma have been best friend's, there friendship meant a lot to them. When Emma’s marriage didn’t work out, she had more time to hang out with Luke,Emma has lost herself she wanted to feel more desirable, since Emma has a lot of trust in Luke she asked him to help her so when she meets someone new she would feel better about herself. She’s hoping this doesn’t ruin there relationship, The sex scenes between these two are sizzling hot. I’m new to Chance’s books, looking forward to reading his others books. A 5 star read for me.

But Luke has mixed feelings about it but reluctatly helps her . but can he set aside his true feelings . also what happens when Emma meets another at one of Lukes types of party's he goes and takes her to when she meets a man named Arran . and what happens when there is a mystery man that changes Emmas life but what if its someone she has known all her life . and what if she believes it is another until the truth is revealed can these two be more than just friends or can someone else quench their thrust for others or in themselves .

This is a beautiful, sweet, well written, friends to lovers story that pulls you in and brings the heat. Emma has a bad marriage which put a wedge between her and her best friend Luke. Upon her divorce she turns to Luke to help get her out into the world and experience the life she was missing. She lived vicariously through him and his stories of all his hot dark sexy escapades and wanted him to introduce her to his world. He helps her because loves her and wanted her to be happy but soon finds that he has bitten of more than he can handle. How can he continue to help her when his feelings start to get in the way. A sweet emotional and sexy story.

Another fantastic five star review for Chance. I loved this friends to lovers romance. Emma is so sweet, just coming from a bad marriage. She wants to get out there and have some fun. Luke agreed to be her wingman since he was her best friend. Who knew that they would realize that they loved each other as more then just best friends. I loved their playful banter to each other. They make such a great couple. Strong unbreakable friendship turns into so much more. This book had me from page one. I couldn't put it down. Thank you Chance for another amazing read.

Best friends truely do make the best lovers. ❤️ Chance does an amazing job with this story. This book does alternate POV between Luke and Emma, so we get into both of their heads. However I really enjoyed getting more of Luke’s POV about his internal struggle with his feelings for Emma. It was extremely frustrating at times that Emma couldn’t see the amazing man right in front of her! The sex is hot 🔥 in true Chance style. You will not be disappointed. Another one of Chance’s books that is extremely hard to put down! I suggest reading it in bed! 😉

WOW ! Chance Carter outdone himself again .. l was totally intrigued with Luke and Emma’s (MiMi) story . This friendship to lovers story kept me on the edge of my seat. It’s hot and steamy kindle melting sex scenes kept me riveted to every page I read. I stayed up late into the night because I couldn’t stop reading it until I finished it. Totally captivated by this amazing book. Definitely a book that deserves more than a 5 star

Amazing! Every time I read a new Chance Carter book I tell to myself this is his best book yet! And once again Protecting her heart has left me feeling that way. Loved the story line, the chemistry between the two main character and how he brought them to find their happily ever after !

Wow this book is on fire each page gets hotter and hotter!! This book is hard to put down each page grips you more and more. Trust me when I say that you will have a sleepless night as soon as you pick this book up you are totally going to find it hard to put down.

Holy Hell this book was hot! It was heartwarming and heartbreaking. It was funny too! I loved everything about this book. The characters were well-developed and you became invested in them early on. I felt Emma's apprehension and her excitement in finding all these new experiences. I felt Luke's protectiveness and love for Emma, and his confusion over his own feelings when she opens up for a new man.
Emma married the wrong man. He stifled her in every aspect of her life, put her down, and made her feel like nothing more than a commodity. Bravely, she divorced him but now is more naive about dating and physical relationships than a 16 year old virgin. She knows just the man who can show her the ropes and help her find herself. He's been her best friend forever and the only man she can trust. But, why is he running hot and cold with her? One minute taking her on adventures she could never have dreamed of, the next shutting her out? When their student/teacher relationship crosses a line, can they find their way back?
Luke has been friends with Emma pretty much his whole life. He never liked her husband and was more than thrilled when she finally divorced him. Now, she's asked him to show her his world of exploits, and to watch out for her as she experiences everything. When she catches the eye of another man, can he watch her give herself away? rcvd an advanced reader copy from the author for giving my two cents....holy hawt damn (fans self)...what a hot, and spicy read! i was captivated from the start and couldnt put the book down!! we meet Emma, recent divorcee, who is looking to "cum" out of her shell so to speak. being in a 10 yr marriage to an arse who thought her sexual nature was to be diminished and belittled. Emma seeks help from her bff Luke, since he is a bad boy womanizer. Luke agrees to her her sexual fairy godfather. Luke introduces Emma to sexual massages, swingers clubs, and BDSM to make her open her eyes and experience things that she felt ashamed of for so many years! Luke is very protective of Emma and she wants him there every step of the way. In walks Aaron, a British billionaire who Emma deems a sexy fox! a quick introduction by Luke has Emma fired up for the Brit. Emma is experiencing things that she never thought possible and has Luke to help. A party where the women are blindfolded, leaves Emma wanting more...her lover was attentive, sweet and the best she had.

I loved reading this book Chance carter you are an amazing writer I was drawn in from start to finish, Luke and Emma have been best friends since school and as time passed they became very protective of one another but always stayed in the friend zone and when Emma suddenly got married to Andrew Luke was not happy and tried to warn her about him but Emma wouldn’t listen so they had a big fight and stopped talking to each other about 6 months later she missed him and got in contact with him and spilled the beans on what was going on in the marriage and Luke was there to help her through the divorce and has been there ever since, now Emma wants Luke to help find her self again and be her wingman and show her what she missed out on in life he agrees and so the fun begins and boy does he show her his world but along the way his feelings for Emma change and after one hot and steamy night together he panics and bales on her but afterwards she thinks it was a man she kinda likes and she falls for him, Arran is a wealthy man and seems to like her so she goes along with what he wants but it doesn’t feel right and she is not sure why so Emma speaks to Luke and they have a huge fight over it where he walks away so Emma decides to go away with Arran but the night before they are to leave he tells her it wasn’t him that night but Luke. Will she leave with Arran or will she go to Luke and does she getting a happy ending and with who. Read this book to find out it was amazing. Now this is romance in a book by Chance Carter. Emma and Luke have been friends since school and she has had a rough time through a bad divorce and she's lost all her confidence. So she asks her friend if he will help her become her again basically. She wants to know passion, romance and love and to feel free to love too. So he takes her on a journey with her as Mimi. But all plans do not go as planned however, well planned they may seem. As Luke helps Emma to 'discover' her sexuality and joy again he realises that he has fallen in love with her and wants her for himself. No way is he going to let any other man touch Mimi, Emma is his and all his but he doesn't want to ruin their friendship.There is so much tenderness in the ways that Luke cares for Emma that she really should have seen it coming that he was falling in love with her. Such devotion to fulfill her request and give her the hottest s$x that she has even imagined and the passion that he displays - you can't fake that nor her responses to him. This is a really beautiful story with lots of hot and steamy scenes to enjoy just with that special added touch that Chance Carter always gives to his characters. The storyline is fun but believable with the two main characters being so good for one another and it is lovely to 'see' their changing emotions for one another as the story unfolds. I loved this story and whilst I borrow it using KU I will be buying my own copy as this is a book that I will want to re-read as it's so tender and yet passionate at the same time.

Chance Carter’s book, “Protecting Her Heart,” is a wonderful friends-to-lovers story. It begins when Emma asks her long-time friend, Luke, to show her the “ropes.” She is newly divorced and she tells Luke she would like to slowly get back into the dating scene. Although she wants to get back into the dating scene, she is afraid of getting hurt, or of “getting it wrong again” and she thinks Luke could help her. Luke agrees to her request and he tells her not to worry, that he has her back. Also, he’s thinking his love life has been a little flat lately and maybe experiencing it again through Emma could help him, too.
A major part of this story is that Luke’s love life is a little bit “spicy” and a little bit alternative, and most of Mr. Carter’s story revolves around how Luke introduces Emma to this part of his life. As Luke and Emma progress through the adventures Luke has arranged for them, the feelings each has for the other begin to change.
There is a delicious tension throughout the book between Luke and Emma that I really did enjoy and there were times when I just wanted to yell at the characters to kiss each other already, shag like rabbits and get it over with. Of course the story isn’t written that way, but eventually Luke and Emma do achieve their HEA and it is an HEA in the best way possible. If only every woman had a best friend like Luke!

What a great friends first romance!! While you are certain you know what will happen, the mystery here is when and how will they find out. The ex is an awful guy, the new guy has his moments, but the best friend... he is awesome! Get ready to laugh, moan, and groan!! And now a bit about the story...
Emma's divorce is final and she needs to go live her life! Her ex was controlling, demeaning, and ignored her. Now she is free and she is ready for fun! She calls her best friend, who happens to be drop dead gorgeous and her first kiss!! Together they are going to experience a myriad of flavors from vanilla to dark chocolate and beyond ;)
