This is a fun and easy introduction to economics. It covers in a concise way topics like: markets, business economics, macroeconomics, economic policy, financial economics, global economy etc.
Each topic is broken down into many two-page sections, which makes this book ideal if you only want to read 10-15 minutes every day (by far one of my favorite toilet books!!).
Each section has nice explanations and a strong visual element, which makes the content welcoming and easy to understand (although there were some moments when I got a bit lost in the jargon).
All in all, I recommend the book if you're looking for a mild introduction to economics. If you want something more technical, look elsewhere.
Very interesting, covering many key economic terms and theories in little over 300 pages. Well written and clearly sectioned - however, I deducted a star as a lot of the economic jargon was under-explained, and I found myself referring to the glossary excessively just to pick apart a sentence. Overall, a very good overview book of economics.
I read it cover to cover, even though it's more of a reference book, but I think it's worth taking in the whole thing at least once so that you actually know what to look for when referring to something later. There's a very well explained section on each topic: suitably brief, balanced and using up to date examples. An excellent entry point to economics and a genuinely interesting read.
Economics is a very interesting subject, but it isn't an easy one. This book makes learning economic easier. It still not that easier but it is easier to understand. The book mainly focuses on keeping it short and easy to understand. It gives you real-life examples that help you understand the topic at another level. I picked up this book because I took economics back in my previous school, but did not understand it very well. I listen in class and use this book when my free time to help me understand the topic. I recommend this book to people who are interested in Economics.
Lucid, brief & highly accessible, anyone with a rudimentary interest in economics who is almost always lost in the economic jargon and wishes to make sense of whats going around in the world of economics & finance should buy this book. If the interest persists after reading the book, then one can segue towards the more academic books and learn about the underlying principles behind the aphorisms mentioned in the book.
A really enjoyable little book on economics. Very clearly explained with excellent examples and diagrams to help understanding. I would recommend this book to anyone interested in gaining an introduction to the subject.
Helpful book if you just want baseline details on macroeconomics. This is not meant to be used as a textbook. Those who intend to read this for that purpose would be utterly disappointed.
