Sophia has left her no choice.
The battle lines are drawn.
During her preparations, her protective shifters desperately search for any weaknesses to shift the balance of power in Elizabeth’s favor. What they discover may be the darkest secret of them all.
Can they find the person who holds the key to destroying Sophia in the arena in time? Will Elizabeth be able to keep a hold onto all the men who have grown so close to her heart?
***Elizabeth, Alpha of Dragons is Book Four of the Fated Alpha Series. Each book features a paranormal romance, a true reverse harem with one woman and four sexy, demanding and protective shifters. This series is intended for adult readers for sexual situations, violence, and lots of cussing. There is no crossing swords in this reverse harem.***
O... M ... Freaking ... G!! I was not expecting that ending at all. Now I am going to wait and wonder what happen to Avery while he was on "assignment". And after Elizabeth went through so much to make things right with the book and win the guys back the right way.
This is the fourth book in the RH Fated Alpha series and picks up right where book three left off. This book has plenty of emotions that put you on a rollercoaster ride through fear, pain, love, shock and elation. Elizabeth has grown to find her center as well as finding out several new things about herself. I can not wait to read the next book!!! I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
First of all, I tried to like this series; I really did. I even made it to the fourth book. However, it honestly had less to do with any enjoyment I actually received from reading said books and more to the point it was like a tragic car crash that I couldn’t look away from. Basic homophone errors (damn versus dam, too versus to, etc.) were abundant, the writing was downright sloppy and juvenile, and there were so many randomly thrown in mythical creatures and problems that it was downright annoying. I won’t be continuing the series. Editors save book series. #sorrynotsorry
I've recently realized that I rate all of the reverse harem (RH) books I read on a kind of personal RH bell curve that is separate from all other books. This paranormal RH series continues to be middle of the road on that curve for me - it has more story and creativity than a lot I've read, but needs to be more comprehensive than it is for my tastes. There are some steamy scenes in this installment that I liked, but I wish the resolutions to various challenges in the storyline were not just found or guessed by the characters all of a sudden.
Elizabeth has lost so much, so when she has to make the ultimate sacrifice, she vows she will find a way to get it back. There is no way she can permanently give up her guys. She has to fight tooth and nail to win back what her heart desires. Not caring about the consequences. But what if all her hard work was for nothing?
I thought this would be the last book. I'm kind of glad that it isn't, but also kind of sad. Now I have to wait until April for the next book to come out. *Sad Face*
I'm also kind of upset with how this book ended. Why must it end on a super sad cliffhanger? My heart hurts so much. I am not a fan of this ending and I need to know that everything will be okay.
I just absolutely love this story and I can't wait to see what will happen next. These characters have drawn me in. I feel as if I feel what they are feeling. My heart goes out to them whenever I read.
I most definitely recommend this series. It is one of my favorites at the moment. It is great writing, heartfelt characters, and intense emotions. You will not regret picking up this series.
So I like Elizabeth, don’t love her but like her. I also wonder how long this series will go, she is evolving but not really growing. She seems to react rather than anticipate. She is supposed to be alpha, but I don’t feel it. The guys are offended when she worries about them because they can take care of themselves. Yet, they are always trying to protect her and try to dictate her decisions sometimes- where is her insistence they trust her abilities? I’m also not a sub myself but reading her and Easton’s scenes together was difficult and didn’t scream equals to me. She is supposed to be a leader, not only talk about what it takes to be one. She needs to do, I need to see her strength be it obvious or a silent spine of steel. I need to see her smarts- not have the boys win her intelligence challenge for her. I need to see her navigate situations with thoughts of all outcomes. Leading needs heart but she will be eaten alive if she can’t negotiate, delegate, lead, guide, and assert a bright star that her team can trust in. A great ship is strong when the captain is strong and takes others opinions into account but not as gospel. I don’t see Elizabeth in this way. She is kinda scratching on the door to being their equal but not really. The author needed to make her “alpha” but they don’t even treat her equally as a person. She doesn't scream authoritative in any form to me. She is kind (sort of), has courage ( sure), and heart (that’s what the author is really pushing) but no steel to belly it all. A female alpha can command but smartly and with compassion but I don’t see the smarts or the leadership yet. I hope the author can work her and mold her a little better. I recommend the book series “queen takes knight” and the second book specifically “queen takes king” lots of strong men and equally strong woman that I believe hold their own but have strengths of their own that differ from their male counterparts.
So in book 4, I thought Ava really stepped up the action and tension, making for an intriguing storyline! I couldn't stop listening, I needed to make sure Lizzy won and beat Sophia and started to make things right again with her guys! I thought the lessons leading up to that was good, and the information she used from an unlikely source was a twist I didnt see coming. I thought it was good to get to know the Queen better after she was such a question mark in book 3, I am actually starting to like her (I like her more in 5 and 6 to be honest, but more on that later). I was devastated for Lizzy and her men in book 3 and especially in the beginning of book 4, but the ending of this one hurt I think just as much. What is up with the one man in Lizzy's life?!? I hope he gets his act together because he is holding things up haha. I was surprised by Easton but didnt into his steamy scenes as much as I thought I would have, something was a tad off, but not enough for me to dislike them haha they were definitely 🔥🔥🔥.
Narration was great, especially the fight scenes and what Lizzy decides to do at the end of the confrontation. I could feel her devastation with the cliffhanger at the end, and it made me get emotional too. Good job to Angela for keeping up the good portrayal of Lizzy and her guys. I do wish a male narrator had been picked, but I know that is not always an option and because we don't get the various POVs, it makes sense.
And the story keeps unraveling... It's filled with more intricacies, more action & *gasp* some more sex! YAY!!
Despite the more sex thing, I did find myself griping about the relationships often in this one. I'm at the point where I NEED more scenes about the guys & more one-on-one time between Elizabeth & each one of them. Equal time, PLEASE.
LOVED that we got to see Elizabeth kick Sophia's a** in the challenge! But give me a motherf*ckin' break... She killed the b*tch & then decided to bring her back?! Guess what? It's okay to kill a bad b*tch in books. I have NO desire to hear any more about Sophia's backstory with Hunter, Easton & Christian. *plugs ears*
But back to the sex that I want to read more about... She had sex with Easton! Boy, was he domineering & HOT!! Two down, two to go!
I missed Avery though. He was gone for a huge chunk of this story. He came back at the end & did lash out at Elizabeth but I really couldn't blame him. I'd probably feel the same way; especially if it were done while I was away. :(
Time to jump into the next book in the series, Elizabeth, Guardians of Dragons! I need to see the relationships strengthen, STAT!!
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book for my honest opinion. What can I say about this book? Well I’m going to say it’s freaking awesome! I loved it probably because it was more of Easton in it which Easton is my favorite out of all the dragons so far. I love the way Ava Mason slowly builds up her stories before she gives you a teasing of a climax! Yes I said teasing because she gets ya with a cliffhanger and leaves you hanging and wanting more! I can not wait until the next book is here because I gotta know what happens. If you haven’t read anything of Ava Mason before well then get the first book of this series heck get them all and then strap yourself in and get ready for a whirlwind of a ride. Because you are going to be hooked right off and you’re going to love the rush that Ava Mason gives. This book deserves more than five measly stars it deserves a whole lot more. I highly recommend this book!
SPOILERS! Thankfully, the series continues and events keep snowballing for Elizabeth and her dragon quad. Elizabeth now has to train up in order to earn back her dragons and keep them from Sophia’s underhanded ways.
Ooh Sophia, you are just….awful! A really well created villain, I think. You just love to hate her! Honestly, the aspects concerning her are probably my favorite because she seems to bring out more depth of character from Elizabeth. I may not feel much for Elizabeth, but Sophia…I just want to see her fall!
The ending I found a bit disappointing, in that Elizabeth let Sophia live. If one was to maintain the pack mentality and leadership style, then taking out Sophia would have been a better option. She’s already proven to be crazy manipulative and untrustworthy. I can see this coming back to bit Elizabeth and her quad right in the rear!
This is the fourth book in this series and I absolutely love reading about Elizabeth and her 4 dragons. In this book Elizabeth has to fight for her dragons and become their alpha. Once again Ava Mason has written a fantastic addition to the series that keeps the reader captivated from page one to the very last page! And on the last page you kept wanting more as Ava leaves you on a huge cliffhanger that makes the reader yell for more! I really want more of Elizabeth with Avery and Christian in the next book. This book puts the reader through so many emotions including joy, happiness, anger and shock and like all of Ava’s books I can’t wait for the next one in the series! Highly recommended RH series that is captivating and appealing for the reader!
I wanted to wait until I got to the last book to review, but seeing that I’m waiting on another book to be released this will do. This series is fantastic! I love the fantastical writing of shifters but this had heartbreak and disparity, hope and some great sexy times. You are almost able to feel what Elizabeth is feeling. The guys are real with their feelings of insecurity and jealousy. I’m trying to figure out where James and Edward are going to fit into her life, hopefully the next book will give a clue. I really hope Avery gets himself together instead of walking away because of his insecurities without talking to Elizabeth first. I cannot wait until the next book comes out!
Ok I've been reading all the books in this series and I love Elizabeth and the boy's ...her Dragon's. She loves all 4 of them and each one loves her...I think? The power and the anger that's affecting Elizabeth is really getting to her...Sofia is really mad that she lost Hunter to Elizabeth...and somebody is trying to kill Elizabeth but who? While the Queen is helping Elizabeth they must be careful someone is also trying to kill the Queen. I recommend reading in order to truly understand the storyline and they DO end in cliffhangers!
Nooooooo! Please, I need the next book as a matter of urgency! Lizzy has a lot on her plate and the excitement and drama ramps up in this book.
We learn more about most of the characters and Elizabeth had to get herself ready to fight for the lives of her and her dragons.
The story flows beautifully starting from where the last book ended, it has a great plot, the characters are amazing and interact together well. I am loving this series and I am so excited for the next book, it’s a fabulous read
Ava Mason has done it again. She took me on a rollercoaster ride of emotions: elation, pain, love, fear, and mostly shock. Things happen in this book that we’ve all been waiting for, Elizabeth finding her center, the Queen makes a move, Easton gets his sexy chance, and in the end? The end wrenched my heart open and a knife twisted in my gut. How dare you Author?! I think she likes these cliffhangers, the type that wounds deep so you don’t forget to read the next one. I can’t help but say her brand of it, while evil, it is exhilarating and I can hardly wait to read the next one!
This is book 4 of the series and it was absolutely brilliant. I’m not giving any spoilers this time plus Ava gives you a lot to the story in her blurb. It ends in a cliffhanger but that’s a good thing and I will be chomping on my nails waiting for the next book and I can’t wait. Fantastic read and Elizabeth has grown so much since the first book and you will see what she will do to fight for her Dragons. I can’t brag about this book enough, I love ❤️❤️ this book and you will too. I highly recommend this book.
Man, this book was over far too soon. It was so full of action and crazy intrigue and crazy hotness between her and her dragons that before I knew it, I was reading the last word. And wow! What an ending to leave us with. Elizabeth has finally accomplished what she thought was impossible, only to have Avery return from a mission angry and belittling her. I can't wait until the next installment comes out. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book, and I borrowed it through the Kindle Unlimited program too.
I can't seem to get past 3 stars in this series. I'm not sure why exactly. We learn more about our clan of dragons and all the players with each new book. Maybe it's because the series has lacked a depth to it. The story line is broken into many books. Though it's intriguing enough that I want answers to original questions I had and I will continue but I can take a break from it. Veer off path if you will. Let my mind wonder into another world before I jump back in and finish.
I received an ARC of this book. As usual, it ended much too quickly. As with previous books in this series, this one wraps up the main arc of the story for this time, but opens the door for the next novel.
I love this series, but I'll be honest. I don't like the way things ended. I've become very vested in these characters and don't want anyone to be unhappy. Now, I'll be anxiously awaiting the next installment.
Elizabeth is really starting to come into her power. I liked that we get to see more of the relationship develop between her and the guys. After the events in the last book, Elizabeth is trying to find a way to reconnect. I love how the guys support her, but there is some jealousy going on. The story does end on a cliffhanger, so hopefully the next book is out soon!
This is the fourth book in the series; they must be read in order.
Things have continued to heat up! There is political intrigue and more danger than Elizabeth ever expected. She is working to get all her men back, and she intends to win them back for good. But will she be able to?
The writing, storyline, and everything about these books continue to be a fun and interesting read. I keep looking forward to the next installments.
This installment picks up immediately after the previous one, backing up a few sentences and moving forward with missing a beat.
Sophia has been a thorn in everyone's side from the moment we met her, and this is when events finally come together such that she and Elizabeth can no longer dance around the fact there can be only one Alpha.
