Sarah Bennett doesn’t remember the night her mother tumbled down the stairs at Bennett House, despite allegedly witnessing the fatal fall. Some believe that she killed her mother, but Sarah knows she didn't. She hopes coming back home might jog her memories and help her remember what happened that fateful night. Unfortunately, she finds immediately on her return that home just isn't the hospitable place it used to be. Sarah is shocked to find that her father has remarried, and her stepmother obviously doesn't want Sarah in the house. When another family member is murdered, suspicion once again falls on Sarah. She knows she has to remember what happened to her mother and prove she isn't a murderer twice over. Her investigation brings to light the identity of the murderer, but also some closely guarded family secrets. Soon, Sarah finds her life in danger, and she must fight to finally clear her name.
I listened to the audiobook version of this first novel in the Sarah Bennett Mysteries series. The audio version is narrated by Lillian Yves. Her voice is pleasant and easily understood, and she read at a moderate pace. I have partial hearing loss and sometimes have difficulty understanding female narrators, but I had no problem understanding this audiobook. A very enjoyable experience!
The Spirit of Grace is well-written and suspenseful -- a great start to a series! Sarah Bennett is a strong female character. She finds it difficult to re-establish family relationships and life in general after a year in an asylum. She steadily gains strength and confidence in herself as the story progresses, and fights to regain her life. She faces family secrets with courage, and doesn't let shocking developments weaken or defeat her.
All in all, an enjoyable ghostly suspense tale! There are 3 books in the Sarah Bennett Mysteries series. I definitely plan to read them all -- I already have book 2 waiting in the wings for me to post this review!
I was sent The Spirit of Grace by Terry Lynn Thomas to read and what a great read it was. I had no idea going into the book that I would feel how I did while reading it. This was a very different paranormal cozy it did not really read like one but read like a great historical cozy with some paranormal elements. Main character Sarah, was very much an enigma in the beginning of the story, but as a reader you get to know her as she really gets to know herself. You feel pulled into a very confusing situation, feel and empathize with her throughout the book. I found the twists and turns to be exciting and sad all in the same wonderful way. A great read and I am thrilled I can read another in the series very soon.
I really wanted to love this book. All the reviews were great, here and at Amazon. I guess I was sort of expecting this to be a gothic except (for me) the atmosphere was wrong. If the novel was supposed to be a mystery it was too easy to figure everything out. And if this was suppose to be a Historical mystery, I never had the real feeling of WWII. So I am sort of stuck.
For a first book this story was okay. I couldn't really seem to get a feeling for the characters or place. I will definitely read the story again to see if all this was just me. I would probably also read a second book from this author to see if she grows...
The Sarah Bennett Mysteries volumes 1-3 blend the singularity of a paranormally involved heroine. With the cloak and dagger intrigue of 1940's war-era America. In a way that is seldom seen in the female sleuthing genre.
At the outset, Sarah's story of returning home from a forced commitment to an asylum after mysterious death mother. Coupled with her quest to unlock her own blocked memory surrounding the event. Almost makes one assume this to be a cozy mystery of sorts. But as one follows Sarah home and meets the cast of quirky, often odd, but mostly "more than they seem" characters who seem to come out of the woodwork in droves. Inserting themselves into both her life and the plot at seemingly odd angles. One soon begins to realize that the death of Sarah's mother, may have just been the first step into what will soon become an ever deepening rabbit-hole. Involving spies, additional murders, and even the possibility of treason on the part of Sarah's newfound love interest Zeke.
It is important that leading man Zeke is mentioned early on in this review because both he and his life become central to the plots of both The House Of Secrets. (Book 2) and The Drowned Women (Book 3) It can in fact, safely be said that The Spirit Of Grace (Book 1) becomes less about solving death of Sarah's mother. And more about the introduction of Zeke's storyline into the overall collection narrative.
Seeing as he, his story, and even his sister are plot leads in both subsequent novels. (See synopses of House Of Secrets and The Drowned Woman.)
The mysteries found in this collection are fast paced, descriptively narrated, and possessed of an almost Nancy Drew level innocence. That makes the overall feel of the read much lighter than its sometimes daunting subject matter would lead readers to believe possible. Making this the perfect "beach read". Or that "little escape" from life. That one carries in the bottom of one's purse. That doesn't require a prescription.
The series really grows and gains traction as Sarah's comfort level with her abilities grows. And... The relationship between she and Zeke deepens and matures. These books are just the thing for those armchair Sherlocks out there. Looking for just the right amount of mystery and mayhem. With a paranormal twist.
Sarah Bennett has lived the past year in an asylum in hopes to remember that awful night when her mother was found dead at the bottom of a staircase. With no luck in remembering she returns home to see if it will jog her memory. However, when someone else dies, suspicion is placed back on her. This young woman must figure out what actually happened that horrible night while trying to avoid the real murderer.
Absolutely loved this read! I was captivated right from the beginning and was very much bothered when I had to put it down to complete mundane chores. Ms. Thomas has created not only a believable storyline, but a world with a bit of paranormal, as well. These parts are subtle, which makes the reader want to know more.
In addition to the intrigue, I was also brought back to the past. This is set during the World War II time period, and even though, the time period is not necessarily the main focus of the story, the author is able to bring enough of the time period for the reader to feel that he/she is right there with Sarah.
I highly recommend this extremely well-written 5-star rated book to those who enjoy mysteries with some paranormal phenomenon!
I received a free copy of this book from the JGBS Review Library in exchange for my honest review. My opinions are my own and no compensation was received.
Wonderful story interwoven with mystery and romance
Gothic mystery books are not my usual genre, however, this book has changed my mind. As I read this book, I traveled back in time, to 1942, experiencing the war and turmoil through the eyes of Sarah Jane, a young woman who has no memory of the night her mother died. A year has passed and Sarah has been summoned home, after spending the last year in an asylum, trying to remember the horrible events of her mother's death. Things have changed in the Bennett house and Sarah hopes that her memory will return and she can finally put the past to rest. When Sarah meets Grace, her world turns upside down and secrets and lies are exposed, leaving her scared, angry and unsure about her future. Ms. Thomas has woven quite a story, filled with love, fear, hate and trust. I was glued to my seat while reading this book and I hope to see much more from this author.

There was quite a woven bit of storytelling which elicited curiosity, mystery, and suspicion throughout. I think what made it even better is that it didn't disappoint me with the ending.
I loved the setting, and how the war was described and associated with the day to day life of people living in America. It also outlined a lot of discriminations when it came to value of a woman's behaviour, opinion, and placement in life at that time.
As I mentioned before the plot was thick with curiosity and suspense. I did suspect within the first chapter the culprits, but I had no idea how deep their secrets were. The author brilliantly pulled the story together, piece by piece and gave us plenty to wonder, and get excited about. She basically gave us little bites before dumping the truth in our laps, which was fantastic.
There is a bit of a romance, but it's set to the background of the story, which I appreciated. I felt compelled to find out what would happen next, and the story kept me on my toes with the mystery and Sarah's memories.
The characters were well done with quirks and personalities that separated them apart from each other. I almost wish Mrs. Tolliver had a few more lines, she was quite the eccentric. But, Zeke, Grace, Sarah and Jack were all entertaining, and enjoyable to get to know.
CONCLUSION
The way the big secrets were hidden and revealed were brilliantly done. The mystery flowed, making it look easy, but each clue was put forth with precision, and I dare say, grace.
The first book in the Sarah Bennett Mysteries Series is also my first experience with Terry Lynn Thomas.
The Spirit of Grace takes place during WW2 and while I didn’t exactly get that feeling it was an enjoyable read, which I still place as a historical mystery. It’s a book full of both flawed and mysterious characters, sprinkled with ghosty sightings and a touch of romance.
Was it predictable? Not to me, there was enough going on that kept me guessing. It’s a fast-paced book which for some reason just makes me read all the faster (also I needed to know what was going on) and concluded with a satisfactory ending.
This book is part of my 2019 reading off my shelf.
This is the first book of hers I have read. I liked it the longer I read. I know on the the first books it might take a minute to get to the point bc of the readers needing to hear background about the characters but in this one it took a little longer. I just hope the next story goes a bit easier and is better than this one.
This was a really good mystery with some Gothic vibes. It was short enough that I read it all in less than a day. The storyline will keep you on the edge of your seat and will make you want to read more of Sarah's adventures!
I optimistically purchased the entire three-book series of this when I spotted them all on Kindle a while back for 99p. I'm very glad I did, as this was a well-written, intriguing mystery and I'm now looking forward to the other two books.
Sarah Bennett spent time in an insane asylum after the death of her mother, Jessica, caused by a fall down the stairs. Unable to remember what happened to cause her mother to fall, it was thought that Sarah had murdered her which resulted in her being sent to the asylum.
When she returns after a year, she finds that her father has married Grace, a young woman her own age. In addition, he has hired an assistant named Zeke. Grace is cool to Sarah and is quite verbal in thinking Sarah is guilty. Grace has taken over running the house and has changed many things which upsets Sarah. In addition, Sarah’s maternal grandmother does not trust Grace and neither does their long-time housekeeper, Anca. Grace’s money spending has gotten out of hand and her father does not seem to know how to stop her even though he says he is in love with her.
Her father has become a well-known mystery writer who appears to be very happy that Sarah is home even though he never visited her in the year she was away. Zeke is an efficient young man who keeps tracks of Mr. Bennett’s travel, book signings and such.
As it is wartime, there are many soldiers around town and there is worry that there may be spies lurking around as well. Even though Zeke is friendly to Sarah, there are things that occur to make her think he may be a spy.
When a dream that Sarah has results in an injury to herself, some shocking truths begin to reveal themselves. She also learns that she may be in danger and should leave Bennett Hall and start a new life elsewhere. But she does not want to leave until she can find out what or who caused her mother’s death.
When unexplained events begin to occur that are very frightening, suspicions arise about everyone.
This is a fabulous gothic type mystery book like the ones I loved by Victoria Holt, Mary Stewart, and Barbara Michaels. I hope others will read this novel and I bet that like me, you will be on the edge of your seat until the last page when all is revealed. I certainly look forward to reading more by this author.

Like most writers, I had a passion for books, stories, and all things Gothic from an early age. My grandmother and I used to watch the Gothic soap opera "Dark Shadows" in the 1960s. It scared me, but I liked it. (I know, I'm dating myself.) I always held a secret dream of writing professionally, but real life got in the way and writing went by the wayside. My love of books and reading did not. I had a taste for the Gothic mysteries of the early twentieth century--the books with the covers depicting a woman running across the moors in her nightgown. For some reason, those were the books I reached for when I was looking for something to read, long after these books were popular. I mined used bookshops for them, collected them, and read them over and over. These stories, coupled with my love of writers such as Mary Stewart, Agatha Christie, Patricia Wentworth, and Dorothy Eden influenced my writing in so many ways. I love mysteries, especially those written by British authors. When I set out to write in earnest, I wanted to pay homage to these great writers of the past and this specific style of writing.
This idea gave birth to the Sarah Bennett Mysteries, which are set in San Francisco during the 1940s. Told in the true Gothic tradition, Sarah Bennett is a medium whose family thinks she is mentally unstable. The first book in the series, The Spirit of Grace, introduces us to Sarah just as she is coming home after spending a year in a mental hospital. The next two books in the series, The House of Secrets (Previously published as Weeping in the Wings) and The Drowned Woman (Previously published as Neptune's Daughter) -- which won an Indie B.R.A.G. medallion--follow Sarah as she discovers who she is and how she can use her "gift" to help people.
The first book in the Sarah Bennett Mysteries will leave you wanting more! One year ago, Sarah witnessed her mother's fall down the stairs of the Bennett House. Unable to remember the details of her mother's death, Sarah's grandmother had her committed to The Laurels, an asylum. On the one year anniversary of her mother's death, Jack Bennett, Sarah's father, summons her home. Ready to face the truth and get the answers she has been searching for, Sarah arrives home to many changes to her home. Newly married to a young woman, Grace, Jack seems to have forgotten her mother way too fast. From the beginning Sarah senses a lot of disruption in the household, as well as, a lot secrecy. Having met young Zeke, her father's assistant, Sarah finds an instant attraction, but what secrets is Zeke hiding. Will Sarah discover the truth or will more people have to die to get the answers she seeks? Will Zeke be her knight in shining armour or will he be a bigger threat to Sarah? This magnificent series will keep you intrigued from the very first page! Author Terry Lynn Thomas has an amazing gift of writing that will keep you in total suspense until the very end! I am excited to read the second book in this great series!
Cleverly plotted whodunnit with an interesting back story and unusual setting. A young woman, suspected of murdering her mother has been committed to an asylum and at the beginning of the novel is returning home to the family manse. Lots of things have changed - including World War II has broken out and the town she lives in has become a thriving military outpost. Her father's new wife is suspected of being a spy. As she tries to solve the details of her mother's death, there are more murders, spy capers, and her life is seriously threatened. Meanwhile, she is a bit of the town pariah, as many still suspect her of being guilty of matricide.
It's a fairly short novel - and a fast read. It's not quite a "cozy" - no cute and amusing characters nor charming situations - but, it's also got nothing to offend. Just a good old fashioned mystery. Rather like an Agatha Christie if she were writing in modern idiom. There is a tad of romance in it, but for those of us who loathe romance novels, not enough to spoil the book.
I recommend it for a rainy Sunday afternoon - you'll be finished before dark!

Excellent mystery and a supernatural angle which was pretty good:). Very enjoyable:). That’s the first book I have ever read by this author and she really keeps your attention:). I’ll be checking out more of her books for sure:)
The Spirit of Grace is the debut novel of Terry Lynn Thomas. The story is about a young woman, Sarah Bennett, who has returned home a year after being sent to The Laurels, a mental institution, after finding her mother dead at the bottom of the stairs at home, but remembering nothing about it. In the year she has been away she still has no recollection at all about what happened that night, and she hopes that returning home will help jolt her memories. She is fed up of not remembering, and also is fed up of being under a cloud of suspicion. From the start of the story onward I was totally engrossed in the characters, their interactions, and of course needing to find out who, if anybody, actually murdered Sarah's mother. Did she just fall down the stairs, or was she pushed? If she was pushed, was It Grace that did it? The book is full of intrigue, twists and turns, and I for one was not expecting the outcome of how Sarah's mother ended up at the bottom of the stairs. The story-line captivated me from beginning to end. There was a small amount of romance in the book, which at the very end of the book we are left up in the air about. That was the only disappointing part of the book. I believe that story-line and some other instances in the book too, could have, and should have been expanded on. It's almost like the author had a wonderful long book to present to her publisher, but was told she had to make it shorter. If that was the case, I would have much preferred to have the book split into two parts. That said, it didn't stop me enjoying the book and fully recommending it. It just means that a great book, could have been a fantastic one.
Sarah has just returned home from her stay at the mental treatment facility – her family, and everyone else, basically declared her insane after she witnessed her mother’s death but remembers nothing of that night. But lots of things have changed since she went away – her father got married, he’s now a famous author with a personal assistant, her grandmother is murdered, and there is very likely a Nazi spy within her household. All of the mysteries begin to unfold as Sarah does some snooping in attempts to prove her innocence in her mother’s death.
This book is an attention-grabber from the first pages, to say the least. It’s easy to relate to present-day Sarah and understand how she came to be who she is, without being bogged down with too many details. Every word in this tale has relevance and every moment seems to build up suspense toward the overall picture of the story. By the end, I could feel nothing but satisfaction, even though things may not have been wrapped up exactly as I would have preferred.
The title of this book is so fitting, though not for reasons that I expected. I love how that just sneaked on up on me and took me by surprise. Nicely done, author. Overall, this book is well worth all the stars!
Sarah Bennett has no memory of her Mother falling down the stairs at Bennett House. She is sent to an asylum accused of pushing her Mother down the stairs ultimately leading to her death. One year later she comes home to Bennett house with the hopes of getting her life back to normal.
But things are not so easy for Sarah, yet she is determined to clear her name. Now a killer is watching her every move, and Sarah may be in great danger if she can't recall everything that happened that day.
The plot is original, with plenty of thrills, suspense, twists, turns and secrets. Sarah is very likable, not knowing what happened the day her Mother died, is really upsetting to her. Watching her try to piece together the past, she discovers hidden family secrets, which adds to the already intense story.
A definite five star thrilling read. I strongly recommend The Spirit of Grace to those who love a thrilling read!
I so wanted to like this book. What could be better than a historical mystery set in WWII with a strong female lead who sees ghosts? It sounded deliciously gothic to me. However, I couldn't get past the errors, inaccuracies and timeline mistakes.
For instance, to name a few, she goes into a room and sits in a chair across from her father, he tells her to sit down so she goes to the chair and sits down. Or the step-mother is standing by the door and in the next paragraph she gets up from the couch. Or the lead character spends hours and hours learning what the housekeeper does, even baking bread with her, goes to the attic to get a suitcase, gets distracted and follows someone into the woods and up the mountain and when she returns, it is too early for the morning sun to hit the kitchen windows.
Good premise for a story and the author does have a gift for description but she needs a good editor.
An enjoyable murder mystery set in the time of WWII, and so therefore full of spies and intrigue. There's a bit of romance thrown in for good measure, though I did think that got serious a little quickly, but that could just be me not realising the time scale of the story properly. I liked the plot twists, and although I thought I had worked out the mystery it turned out that I hadn't fully. The story is very good as a stand-alone novel, though there is scope for the characters and story to be continued. I hope it does!

Review:
Sarah Bennett has no recollection of the night her mother died. She does not know how her mother ended up at the bottom of the stairs: did she just fall, did Sarah herself push her or was there someone else there that night? Her father sent her away to The Laurels, a high class asylum. She is brought home when the one year anniversary of her mother’s death is approaching. She still does not know what happened that night. She hopes going home will bring back some of her memories. When someone else dies, Sarah is again under suspicion. Will she ever get her memory back and prove she was not responsible for her mother’s death, as well as this new murder? The characters are well rounded and well developed. Sarah is a strong woman and she will need all of that strength to figure out what happened that night. As the story progresses, she gets stronger and more sure of herself. Anca, the housekeeper, is on Sarah’s side and wants to help her as much as she can. Zeke, her father’s writing assistant, is kind to her and she begins to enjoy being around him. Grace, her stepmother, does not like Sarah at all and is suspicious of her. I enjoyed reading about all of these relationships and they all added a lot to the story.
The writing style flows smoothly and the book is an easy read. The author is very talented in her descriptive writing and through much of the book, I felt like I was right there watching all of the action taking place. There was an authenticity to the place and time that this story took place. The mystery was well plotted and carried on well throughout the entire book. The setting helped add suspense to the book.
I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a well written Gothic mystery with a little bit of paranormal thrown in. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series.
Sarah Bennett has just been released from the 'rest home,' an exclusive psychiatric facility after the death of her mother. Sarah was found with her mother's body at the bottom of a staircase with no memory of the event. Sarah is the only suspect for the death. Sarah returns to her California seaside home in the midst of World War II, refreshed but still with no memory of the night her mother died. Sarah returns to a town that has changed with the war, the coastal town is now a military encampment, her father has published a novel and has found a new wife. Sarah tries her best to return to normal, however, her new stepmother is definitely hiding something, her father's assistant, Zeke seems to be better at speaking German than he is at booking speaking engagements and Sarah's dreams are beginning to spill into reality. Sarah's memory of the night of her mother's death seems to hold the key to piecing all of these mysteries together, but they are locked tightly away. The Spirit of Grace is a gripping historical mystery with added elements of paranormal and psychological suspense. From the beginning, I was wrapped up in Sarah's character and circumstance. She was someone who I could easily identify with- thoughtful, observant and brave, but I questioned her reliability as a narrator. As soon as Sarah arrived back to her home town, the book took on a suspenseful tone. Everything had changed in the year she had been gone, the war had infiltrated the town and her home had been overtaken. Sarah seems to deal with all of this in stride and throws herself into trying to figure out the mystery of her memory while trying to uncover the motives of the new people in her home. I was very interested in the paranormal parts of Sarah's life, how her dreams infiltrate her real life and why she can see ghosts. There is some preliminary explanation, but I think this could be delved into further. The plot takes several unpredictable twists and turns as Sarah finds herself trying to break up a German spy ring that is somehow connected to her mother's death and figuring out the truth between her father and his assistant Zeke. My only complaint was how fast the romance sparked with promises of marriage; however, like everything else, this also didn't turn out as predicted. Overall, a multi-faceted historic thriller with many different twists. I'll be looking forward to reading the rest of the series.
This book was received for free in return for an honest review.
Sarah Bennett is sent to live in an asylum under the suspicion of murdering her mother. A year later, Sarah returns home to find that her father is a famous novelist and has a new wife. These new changes make Sarah feel like a stranger in her own home. Just as Sarah tries to settle into her new routine, she learns that her grandmother has been murdered. As Sarah tries to find her grandmother’s murderer, Sarah is thrust into the secrets of her family and of her past.
When we first meet Sarah, she is emotionally scarred from her mother’s death. She clings onto her fierce determination that she was innocent of her mother’s murder. Throughout the novel, Sarah is trying to find peace with herself and her past. Sarah suffers from depression, but she eventually overcomes it. As a sleuth, Sarah does very little investigation and most of the answers come to her very easily. Still, I was immediately drawn to Sarah’s mysterious past and eagerly awaited for Sarah to heal from her trauma.
Overall, this novel is about loss, secrets, and recovery. There were a few flaws in the novel. I found the romance to be very underwhelming and lacked development. The mystery was very predictable. I already knew who the murderer was as soon as the character entered the page. I also wished that there would be paranormal scenes in the novel because it was the most intriguing aspect of the book. Despite these flaws, it was a very entertaining cozy mystery to read on a cold stormy night! I recommend this for fans of Lady Anne and the Howl in the Dark, Silent on the Moor, and Girl at the Grave. (Note: This book was given to me as part of a blog tour in exchange for an honest review.)
I listened to this by audiobook. I've had it for a few years, but haven't listened to it until now. It's not the typical paranormal book I'm used to. This is more like a historical/mystery with a little paranormal thrown in.
Sarah Bennett returns home after being sent to a mental asylum, following the death of her mother, who fell down the stairs. Sarah discovers her father newly married to someone that is close to her age. The new wife shows animosity towards her. Sarah's father inquires about her memory of that day her mother died, which she has no memory of.
Sarah has had to deal with rumors about people who think she is responsible for her mother's death. Sarah tries to recover her memory to prove her innocence. One night, Sarah dreams, only to wake with her hands injured and once again, is confronted with why she was in a mental asylum.
Sarah develops feelings for the man, who is working with her father, Zeke, but there is a cloud of suspicion around him. In the dead of night, when she sees a figure slip out of the house and rumors of a spy amongst them; Sarah isn't sure who to trust. In her quest to find out more, she learns about a hidden secret.
The story was interesting, although there weren't quite as much paranormal events as I would've liked or used to. It comes across more like a cozy mystery.
I received a free audiobook, and I have voluntarily reviewed this book.
Having read the previous book before this one where I first met Sarah and Zeke, I knew without a doubt that i wanted to read the next book to this entertaining series. Plus it was another gorgeous book cover which i fell ib love with. I listened to this on audiobook.
So having enjoyed books 2 and 3, I figured I should do the sensible thing and go back to the beginning to where the series started and read/listen to book 1. So that’s exactly what I did. It was so great to be reacquainted with Sarah and Zeke, plus bonus of getting to see how they met, how their story began.
I found the story to be haunting, chilling and suspenseful in equal measures not to mention the ghostly encounters.
I loved the mystery to the story which certainly had me guessing throughout trying to figure out how it would all end. There were also historical elements throughout, such as mention of war, soldier's etc.. I found it all added to the enjoyability of the story.
The whole story was very well written and all of the characters were brilliantly described and portrayed throughout the story. What I liked about this story was that there were a few surprises and twists along the way.
Finally, I absolutely love the new covers that have been given to this series of books when they got released/republished again, the new covers are truly beautiful and appealing.
Overall: 5 of 5 stars Performance: 5 of 5 stars Story: 5 of 5 stars Reviewed: 03-13-23
Sarah has no memory of the night her mother died. There are those that believe it was Sarah’s fault. Was SHE responsible, or was she merely witness to a horrible tragedy? Now, time has passed and Sarah is back at Bennet Cove, but nothing is the same, and death has made another appearance! Is Sarah again responsible, or will she be next? Dark, mysterious, and foreboding, “ The Spirit of Grace” is a beautifully written, magnificently narrated story that kept me intrigued, and guessing from beginning to end! The touch of paranormal weaved through this beautiful, mysterious story is a masterstroke that elevates this one to a whole new level in the Gothic genre, and I loved every … single … shivery … second! No spoilers, I don’t want to give ANYTHING away! One thing that must be mentioned though is the narration! This story comes ALIVE through beautifully chosen character voicing, and heartfelt emotion that rings so authentically true! I was kept “in the moment”, throughly engaged, guessing, wondering, and shivering, from beginning to end! I loved everything about this beautiful, brilliant, emotional story. Five stars across all categories! Don’t pass this one by!
