Nice thing about reading for pleasure is that if you don’t like a book, you can stop reading it at anytime. I couldn’t get past first chapter. The two main characters were not likable. Maybe this is the type of book that you have to keep reading but I just couldn’t get into it sadly. Loved the premise and perhaps if the story started with them falling in love instead of right before the wedding ceremony, I would have gotten more involved in the characters and actually liked them.

Harry Raider and his fiancée Jessica Ackerman seem to have it all when you first meet them in the posh Hamptons. They are both attractive, have warm and well meaning families that have known each other for years, and are billionaires. Good friend and personal shopper/event planner extraordinaire to the extremely rich and famous Chas Greer has been planning the wedding of the century for all to aspire to - with his help - to pad his commission pockets even deeper. Even before they move into their new mansion in Hollywood (Harry's stomping grounds), Harry and Jessica become the next "it couple" following a couple of humorous but unfortunate events. Sweet, quiet Jessica is quite surprised when she realizes their every move is being photographed and written about on "Page Six" and all of the other celebrity columns and that they are expected to attend every premiere and gala in town. Long time party boy Harry doesn't miss a beat and is happy to go with the flow. When Jessica begins to worry whether Harry will revert back to his wayward ways, she realizes that she might not be the only one concerned. The celebrity couple has plenty to think about when Harry reconnects with his old party buddies and when his father mandates that Harry go to work in the family business for the first time ever. In her second "Harry" novel, author Mara Goodman-Davies shares a poignant and humorous story of true love waking up on the "A List" in Hollywood and the clash of home grown values versus the ways of the rich and famous. If I could have, I would have given this book a 1/2 star. It was just really terrible. It jumped around a lot, it seemed like the author had to fullfil a book deal so she created another book about the characters from When Harry Hit the Hamptons.

The story was good enough to keep my attention to the end but the proof reading was horrible and the mistakes were very distracting.
