From Geek To Greek Billionaire is about love, breast cancer, how disease affect relationships, forgiveness, strength and growth.
Nine and a half years ago Olivia and Alexander feel in love during one summer. They were working together on charity gala, sparks flew and they ended up together in linen closet, each others first loves. After misunderstanding he runs away to Greece.
Now Olivia is renovating her BF Maria's grandmother's beach house. During the renovation she bumps into Alexander, who is know Maria's brother-in-law. He wants her back and will do what ever it takes to make her trust him.
I just wish there was a bit more, a bit more story and bit more about characters, I wanted to know them a bit more. However, it made me feel so much and cry... a lot. :) The best stories are the ones that touch some part of you, move you, make you feel the way characters do. And this was one of those stories.
I really wanted to like this one. Olivia, our heroine, was great UNTIL she went crawling after the loser who screwed up WAYYYYYYY too many times. When the story starts out, Olivia and Alex are both really young. He chickens out and runs away without so much as an apology, but he's 20 and has baggage from loosing his mom so young. I was willing to forgive. BUT HE KEEPS RUNNING AWAY AND LYING!!!!!!!!!!! To get back in her life he lies about needing her help to woo another woman. It annoyed me, but I was willing to forgive the lie as long as he was completely honest about everything else. Alex takes advantage of Olivia's generous nature and love for him over and over and over. No matter how cute, smart, rich, kind, philanthropic, or how great your family is, it doesn't make up for being a SPINELESS LIAR WITHOUT REMORSE OR ANY ATTEMPT TO CHANGE PATTERN!!!!!!! So clearly, I have strong feelings. Now I think if this story was revised, I would love it. I love Alex's family dynamics. I love Olivia. I love Maria and Gemma (Olivia's besties). I love that Alex helps reno the beach house. I love Aunt Jenny's matchmaking. If she changed these things, I would love it. 1) Alex just makes too many mistakes of the same type. He never shows he has reformed. He doesn't face his past to deal with old trauma; Olivia learns about his past and doesn't make him prove he is going to be a better man. He either needs to make less mistakes or prove somehow that he has changed his pattern. 2)Alex sneaking in while she is naked, vulnerable, and just wanting a massage to release all the stress he caused was creepy as crap! That needs to go because its sexual assault. Period. And you can fight me on that if you want, but that is the moment where I was unwilling to forgive Alex. If she had been sitting fully clothed drinking a mimosa on the patio and he snuck up on her, I would have let it pass. He has no right to put his hands on her after what he did. 3) He was taking her clothes off in a hallway in a hotel. Creepy! Not romantic! Not respectful! 4)She should not go after him. He hasn't changed. She deserves to be SURE BEYOND ALL DOUBT that the man she pledges her heart to isn't going to run off at the first sign of trouble. She deserves better than an unreformed coward. Honestly, I wish the author would fix it, because I really wanted to root for Olivia.

This romantic novella addresses a sensitive medical issue and how those involved react to such a delicate and difficult situation.
Olivia is an interior designer with a younger sister as her only family. She is blessed with two supportive best friends who want nothing more than to see her happy.
Alexander is a successful billionnaire who thrives on helping those in need. He has a large close knit family, but something from his past repetitively puts a damper on his love life.
Alexander and Olivia are youngsters working together in preparation for a charity gala when they develop a deep connection and one thing leads to another. A jealous worker gives Alexander false information about Olivia and instead of tackling her, he runs away. Back to Greece.
Over nine years later whilst Olivia is working on a renovation project, she runs into Alexander. Seeing each other again brings mixed feelings. First joy, then anger, hurt and resentment. He wants to discuss the past event and the reasons why he left, but she doesn't trust him anymore. Even though they are both aware that their feelings are as strong as before, neither of them expect each other's reaction. He is persistent and resorts to scheming to spend time with her. It works, and they fall into a comfortable friendship which leads to passionate interactions. Alexander isn't aware of what Olivia has been through and the difficulties that she has faced. Will he run when he uncovers the truth or show her how he really feels?
Olivia is kind, courageous and always willing to give a helping hand, but she has insecurities. Quite understandable! Alexander is loyal, loving, hardworking and generous, but he too has insecurities for different reasons. It's a deeply emotional story where there are pain and tears. Despite everything, the author manages to include humour to make for a lighter read.
This romance is very touching. Watching Alexander and Olivia struggle with their feelings is excruciating. They are destined for each other and the end is what they rightly deserve. It's beautifully portrayed and the primary and secondary characters are totally believable.
I was kindly issued with an eARC and the views expressed are my personal opinion.
From Geek to Greek Billionaire is a story about second chances at life and love. Although the story deals with sensitive topics, it still manages to capture a truly heartwarming love story.
At the beginning we get to meet Olivia, an interior designer who gets a great opportunity to get her name out there by decorating the beach house of one of her friends. That was her only task, but after stumbling upon Alexander, an old flame who she had met nine years ago, Olivia doesn’t know what to do. She has always loved Alexander, but after he ends up living her to go back to Greece, she doesn’t hear from him again. As time went by so did the obstacles that she had to go through, those made Olivia stronger and now that she is working again she wants to be able to do her best. Meeting Alexander at the beach brought back memories of their time together, but when she mades her a proposition one that she can’t seem to refuse it’ll be up to her whether or not to give their relationship a second chance or not.
Alexander never expected to see Olivia again, but when he crosses paths with her on his morning run at the beach he knows that he has to act fast before it’s too late. He has always loved Olivia, but a misunderstanding made him leave everything behind and that’s how he found his way back to Greece. After working hard, Alexander became a successful billionaire and he is now ready to settle down. But not just with anyone, he wants Olivia his first love to be the one, and he is not going to stop until he gets her to agree to give their relationship another chance. It’s after they start to spend time together that secrets get exposed, ones that could potentially hurt what they’ve built together. Now it’ll be up to them to let go of the past in order to start fresh again.
I really lived the overall idea of the story, not so much the execution of it. What I liked about the story was how the author introduces the characters’ back stories and the ending was very sweet. I do wish we could have gotten more from the characters, it all seemed a bit rushed to me. Although I couldn’t connect with the characters at times, we do get a happy and satisfying ending. I would still recommend it to those that are looking for a quick read. :D

So 9 years later, they bumped when she was knocked down by a dog. Their acquaintance tried to set them up. Maria, Olivia’s best friend wanted her to renovate her grandma’s house (which Maria gave as present to her later on). Alexander wanted to get to know her so he pretended needing her to guide him in wooing a woman. When they got in the heat of the moment, he came across the breast cancer operation scar on her. He was scared of losing her so he left. She was so devastated but generously forgave him 5 weeks later. The Anderson’s brothers were all in marital bliss now.

This story has two likable main characters and a host of secondary characters as well. The mentioning of the brothers and their families was an apparent nod to the fact that this is the fifth in the series. However, if you're like me and just starting with this book, you'll get along just fine. The story line itself felt a bit like a yoyo to be honest. They're together then not then back then not...I liked how it went and it kind of worked for the characters, but the believability of multiple second chances was a bit much. Still, I did enjoy the story and would like to read the others in the series to find out how the other brothers got together. Over all, a fairly good read. I received this book through Goodreads giveaways.

Olivia is renovating a beach house for her best friend, Maria. She ends up running into her teen crush, Alexander. He is also her best friend's brother in law. Alexander is very shy and he asks her for a makeover and to teach him how to woo the love of his life, Jessica. Only Jessica is really Olivia. I really liked the characters in this book but at times they were childish in not listening to each other. Even when Alexander told Olivia his true feelings, she backed off even though she feels the same way. Then after learning something about her he goes running off back home, to Greece. They both should have just listened to each other and were truthful to each other. But the ending was great!!
Gloria Silk has a wonderful way with words, she weaves a story that fills your heart and feeds your soul. Romance and trials go hand in hand when you open the work of Gloria Silk.
I love stories that are part of a series. This is the fifth in the Anderson Brothers series and it's fab. A sweet, tender story that holds you enthralled and has character crossovers.
Olivia is beautiful inside and out, she has a caring and giving nature.
Alex is similar, although it takes him some time to work on his confidence and communication whare Olivia is concerned.
A pleasure from beginning to end. A perfect summer read for romantic adults......with a cheeky glass of wine!
When I started I was hooked it was amazing. I loved the premise. But then it became about the guy doing all the wrong things and the girl being a saint and I need fantasy mixed with a little realism. In relationships both people are flawed. Also, I'm bothered that the cover has the impression that Greek is like fraternity/sorority related. I loved the Greece connection and I'm not a fan of college Greek life, but I don't like being mislead by covers (which happens all the time so minus no points for that)
Geeky young adults meet up again after almost 10 years. She's an up-and-coming interior designer and he's a wealthy (really wealthy!) Greek tycoon. Misunderstandings parted them so long ago and he is out to clear things up and carry on the romance...she's not having any of it. This geek turned Greek billionaire has his work cut out for him!
Got this book as an author Giveaway on my Kindle. A quick, delightful beach read!
This book was okay. It had a good plot, I just felt that it was very forced and the dialogue was often over-dramatic. It didn't often feel like a conversation that real people would have. I felt like it was a script for an amateur film. The writing was also very dramatic and often used incorrect punctuation which really detracted from the flow of the book and, thus, my enjoyment of the book. It wasn't horrible, but being a self-proclaimed Grammar Nazi, I couldn't really ignore the mistakes.
Olivia and Alexander were each other’s firsts, but when Alex is told Olivia is going to the upcoming gala with another, he flees to Greece. Now, it’s been about ten years and they’re reunited. Will they pick up where they left off or will their journey to love be a bumpy road? This is an emotional book in parts, but it tells a beautiful love story. Grab your copy and see what happens.
I received a complimentary copy of this book and this is my voluntary and honest review.
Nothing wrong with this book, really, it just didn't grab my attention. After several chapters, I'm still not connected to the characters. Olivia seems like a doormat and Alexander's backstory about being adopted but spending time with biological family in Europe was confusing.
I received this book in a Goodreads Giveaway. It was a fun story about an awkward Greek tycoon who had met a girl when he was living in America in college. He fled from here, back to ?Greece and now comes back to try and find her. The story wasn't very believable. the dialogue good.
