this is my bible. i would have never picked up a camera if gibson hadn't catapulted me into retinal abandonment. i can't believe i didn't know this book existed though, it chronicles pretty much his whole oeuvre, as showcased on his website, and i found it for just $8 at the BMV. jackpot.

The closest Ralph has come to a "best of" book. This is a compendium of a master, but the only caveat as a book is it's SO thick that the spine is destroyed looking at images that span the gutter of this 1000 page brick.

Almost 700 pages long, filled with hundreds of stunning Black & White work, as well as some of his later color work sprinkled in.
Was very inspiring for me. Some of the photos make you want to put down the book on the spot, and go and shoot a roll of Tri-X.
