This book is the first of a series of four books that concisely describe the life of Lord Krishna as told in the ancient scripture, the Srimad Bhagavatam. It describes childhood life of Krishna growing up in the idyllic region of Vraja, including His sublime interactions with great devotees such as the gopis (cowherd women). It also details His actions in upholding dharma (the divine law of righteousness) by protecting the good and destroying evil on Earth.
