Just call him a rule breaker…

Zephyr Donovan knew the sacred rule. Never date a student. With the demons in his past, all he wanted was a fresh start. He wasn’t looking for trouble. But trouble tasted so damn good.

There are reasons for the rules…

Malia Adams had a complicated life. Well, actually it was pretty simple. Survive. Stay off the streets by any means necessary. And that was a nightly struggle. She didn’t have time to get involved with anyone.

Especially not the one person she can’t have.

All he needs to do is stay away. All she needs to do is forget him. Too bad that was all easier said than done.

Wall Street Journal & USA Today Bestselling author, Nana Malone writes Sexy Feel-Good Romance and loves of all things romance and adventure.

That love started with a tattered romantic suspense she "borrowed" from her cousin. It was a sultry summer afternoon in Ghana, and Nana was a precocious thirteen. She's been in love with kick butt heroines ever since. With her overactive imagination, and channeling her inner Buffy, it was only a matter a time before she started creating her own characters.

description~WRITING - PLOT - PACE~
I really haven't been having great luck with books this past week. This one was just OK. There wasn't anything wrong with it per se but I struggled to stay interested and almost threw in the towel several times. That said, the writing itself was very good. It had a nice easy flow to it. Unfortunately, the pace was snail S-L-O-W and because of that issue, the plot just wasn't all that engaging. It's a fairly long book, and that was part of the problem. I think the author could have tightened up the plot a bit thus improving the pace. I also figured out the twist right from the beginning. I haven't read any of the other books in this series and wasn't too lost reading this one and I assume we get more background on Zephyr and what happened to him in one of the previous books. But I can safely say this can be read as a standalone fine.

~HERO~
Zephyr...first can I say how much I LOVE that name. It's awesome. I almost want to have another kid just so I can name him that (lol).  I liked Zephyr a lot. He was a great hero. Smart. Sweet. Sexy. Didn't appear to be a manwhore. Loving. Wore his heart on his sleeve. Loved his family. He was just a great book boyfriend.

~HEROINE~
Malia...alas I just didn't love her nearly as much as I did Zephyr. I am not particularly fond of martyr heroines that cut their own noses off to spite their faces. I get I was supposed to think she was this awesome selfless person for working twenty-five jobs, going to school, and sending ALL her money home to help take care of her sister. But let me just say, NO ONE with an ounce of sense is going to choose to sleep on a park bench or in a car when they have friends willing and offering to help them out. So yea, I just found her whole "I can stand on my own two feet" attitude idiotic.

description

~SECONDARY CHARACTERS~
There was a good array of secondary characters in this one. Friends of both Malia and Zephyr. I enjoyed both Emily and Cooper. We also get some glimpses at people from Zephyr's family that I assume are from previous books.

~HEAT LEVEL~
Low to Medium. It takes FOREVER for these two to get together. It's definitely a slow burn romance with no sex until 60% in. I wish I could say the sexual chemistry kept me hooked but by the time they finally did the deed I was already half checked out of the story. After the 60% mark, we go get a few fairly hot sex scenes but nothing overly explicate (IMO).

~ANGST LEVEL~
Medium. I didn't find this particularly angsty but there is a lot of push and pull. A lot of talk about how they can't and won't be together...yadda...yadda...yadda. I found the last bit the most angsty. There is some OW drama as the hero goes out on a date with an OW 55% into the book. Which annoyed me consider these two had already kissed and been dancing around each other for over half the book at this point. The hero dances with this OW and she rubs his crotch. His little guy isn't interested so the OW moves on. The heroine does see all this. There was no OM drama.

~IN THE END~
Like I said, it was OK. There wasn't anything that overly bothered me. The writing was good. The characters were likable (for the most part). It had some good feels (especially near the end). It just suffered from being overly long and extremely slow. And as someone who isn't a huge fan of slow burn relationships, you need to have something else going on in the book to keep me interested and unfortunately, that just wasn't the case here. Yours truly is giving this one a thumbs up.description

This was my first book by this author. And I am in love with all things Donavan! I will be going to one click the other books in this series, that I have not read yet.

The book starts out with Malia getting her belongings put out on the front lawn and basically becoming homeless.
Her parents had died over a year ago and she works numerous jobs to send money home to her aunt who is taking care of her younger sister, Eva.

Zephyr had some tragic things happen to him in his recent past and when he receives an offer from The Tanashi group in Pittsburgh, he sees it as his chance to start over and get a clear head.

Only at a faculty even he hears a laugh. HER laugh.

Low and smoky, feather lite, electrical stroke over every nerve ending in his body. One laugh had him rooted where he stood.

She had snuck into the faculty event for the free food, and in hopes to talk to a professor who had an opening for a TA, which came with housing.

They strike up a conversation and the spark is there, but they both deny it, until he sees her at her job and they end up kissing, and then she runs.

Only to find out that she Is actually one of his students that he hand picked to fellow for Tanashi. And they are big sticklers of non-fraternization.

That is about all I can tell you without giving any more information than necessary. I do not want to spoil it. But this was a beautifully written book, that I absolutely could not put down.

Nana Malone has a way of drawing you in and creating this fictional world you can see in your head, that you almost feel like you are there with the characters. She throws you a couple of plot twists, and I didn’t really see coming. I thought it would go one way and it went in the complete opposite. This was a well written book, the pages flowed effortlessly and the characters were very well developed.
A must One Click Read!!

I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie's Book Reports.

Zephyr Donovan Is a rule breaker. He knows the sacred rule. Never date a student. With the demons in hip past, all he wanted was a fresh start. He wasn't looking for trouble. But trouble tasted so good. You see, there is a reason for the rules. Malia Adams had a complicated life. Actually it was pretty simple. Survive. Stay off the streets by any means necessary. That however, was a nightly struggle. She didn't have time to get involved with anyone. Especially not the one person she can't have. All he needs to do is stay away. All she needs to do is forget him. Too bad that was all easier said than done.

Poor Malia has always done everything possible to not end up in the streets. However at the beginning of Lovestruck she ends up homeless with her belongings on the front lawn. In college and working all the jobs she possible can while staying at the head of her class she is at a loss. You see, she has a younger sister and since her parents death her Aunt has been raising her and Malia sends money to her to help out. Right along with her struggles is Zephyr. He has a tragic past and jumps at the chance of a job and a new beginning from the Tanashi group. When these two meet when Malia sneaks into a facility event for the free food and to talk to a professor to who has a TA job with housing available the sparks fly. But they both are in denial. These two know that shouldn't be together but the heart wants what the heart wants. This is a book filled with twists and turns and angst. I loved reading it and was sad to see it end.

This is my first book by Nana Malone and I really enjoyed the book, not only the story line but Ms. Malone's style of writing. I'm not usually a fan of a third person point of view, I find it hard to really get into the story initially. I was hooked from the first page of Love Struck. I don't think it mattered what POV it was told from Malia and Zephyr's story demanded to be told...

No Spoilers.

Malia is extremely intelligent and more than down on her luck, lets face it-- things straight up suck for Malia right now. The tenacity that she shows when life is kicking her ass is inspiring, she is the epitome of strength. I think her vulnerability and strength is what attracted Zephyr to Malia, and their chemistry is sizzling. It completely consumes you.

This isn't your average student-teacher relationship, that's only a very small part of the story, the struggles and problems that Zephyr and Malia deal with go much deeper. She's just trying to survive and he's trying to escape, and hopefully find a little solace in each other.

My first read from this author and I enjoyed it. Zephyr and Malia were easy characters to love. I especially had a soft spot for the hard working Malia. Zephyr was a great BBF. The story had plenty of feelings and some plot twists thrown in to keep things interesting. Loved the family dynamics and will be checking out other books from this author.

I received an arc of this book.

So, I'm going to start this review out by saying that i'm sure this is a great book. I bet it's amazing. I just couldn't finish it. And It wasn't anything against the author or this book. It's my own problem. And that problem is the POV this book is in. For some reason, I absolutely CANNOT read 3rd person POV. I don't feel a connection to the characters in that POV. So I really didn't get far. I didnt want to give this book a horrible rating because of my problem, So I felt a 3 star was good. This would have been my first Nana Malone book, and I'd still love to read her. I just have to find out which, if any, of her books are in 1st POV.

Lovestruck by Nana Malone a fantastic four-star read. This is part of the Donovans series but it truly can be read as stand alone. Nana Malone is someone I picked up after hearing such great things about her writing and I’m glad I did, I think I’m going to keep reading this author and just grow to love her more with each story. Malia was a character that you could really cheer for, she was fighting for survival and nothing will stop her, not even the super hottie, or will he? But that isn’t the only thing that she’s fighting. Zephyr isn’t who I was expecting after the blurb, but he was so much more.
This was a very well written story and I am sure I will go and check out everything else this author has written as I can’t wait to find more.

Lovestruck is the 6th book in The Donovans series, and it focuses on Zephyr Donovan, the rule breaker of the Donovan clan. Zephyr Donovan's past year has been an extremely rough one, to say the least, and it has caused him many sleepless nights, as well as caused his family to worry about him. However, Zephyr has had enough of his family's over-protectiveness, and decides that he needs a change of pace, so when he receives an unsolicited offer from Tanashi Industries, a giant in the tech world, and the opportunity to finish out his graduate program at Carnegie Mellon while being a mentor to the undergraduate students at the school hoping to win the Tanashi Scholarship, he packs his bags and leaves his family, Columbia, and his nightmares behind, or so that is his goal. However, once in Philly, Zephyr is confronted with something or rather someone much more potent than any nightmare he has ever had...the sexy, sassy, top of her class, and extremely independent Malia Adams....too bad she is off limits.

Lovestruck is a brilliantly written book about two people, Zephyr and Malia, who are absolutely perfect for each other, but who have so many obstacles to overcome in order to find their happily ever after that you begin to wonder if everything will work out for them. Yet, you are rooting for them, because as their story continues to unfold you are falling deeper and deeper in love with Malia and Zephyr. Malia's life is extremely complicated, and throughout the book, you were able to feel her suffering and her feelings of being at her wit's end, but she continues to fight and push ahead. Her resilience is nothing you have ever seen before. I must admit that there were times when I was like, Zephyr don't understand why she is behaving this way??!! Stop pushing her!! And then in the next instance I was yelling Malia just give him a chance, he is such a kind and giving person, and let's not forget...extremely gorgeous and smart, and did I already mention gorgeous??!! HAHAHAHA!! Honestly, what a great guy Zephyr Donovan is, because as this story continues on you realize everything is not so peachy-keen in Zephyr's life either. My heart truly hurt for the things that Malia and Zephyr each experienced in this book. These are two of the strongest and bravest characters I have ever read about. I absolutely adore them.

Highly recommend Lovestruck, I think it is my favorite book, so far in The Donovan series. I implore you to read all of the books in this wonderful series about one of the kindest, most giving, and loving family you will ever read about. Lovestruck and The Donovan Clan will not disappoint you!!

I started this journey with the Donovans back a few years. I found it easy to fall in love with all the siblings and their own brand of quirk. Each with their own distinctive personalities. Each having that thing they did and made them who they were. I was able to fall in love with them for different reasons and in different ways. Although each coupling had a different journey to take they all had a story to tell from the beginning with Delilah & Nate, to Mia & Ryan, to Derek & Kisima, to Dylan & Serafina, and Jezebel & Logan. Which brings us to Zephyr & Malia. I went in to this read expecting much. The little things that I have gather on Zephyr over the course of this series had me wanting him to find his footing and make his claim.

Zephyr finds that life is not always kind, gentle or easy to navigate. He gets this chance to make his future something more than his past has been. His future looking bright. He attends a business function. There he meets and incredible woman that he finds he is attracted to, but of course it could not be that simple when it comes to Zephyr.

Malia was hardworking, self-reliant, fiercely protective of her little sister, currently homeless and looking for a way to work and have a home. She finds herself at a student/faculty function trying to resolve her homeless issue. There she meets a man that she would like to get to know better.

Both knowing that there could be no future once they discover that they each are on the opposite sides of the divide.

Things move along (at a slow pace) but we find that there was much to both Zephry and Malia. They find more common grounds and ways to explore. There seems to always be an obstacle presented. It was watching it all unfold that gave this story its backbone.

The writing was good. The characters were every present and evolving. It was like watching your friends find their way. Nana Malone has created a family that grows on you and with your. They have their own lives and make a way to support each other.

I enjoyed the entire read, but was expecting something more for Zephry. He had been through a lot. It was his chance to shine bright.

5 Stars!

I think I'm a little late to the Donavan series party as this is my very first Nana Malone book but that's ok because I'm here now y'all and holy wow was this book all kinds of good. Sexy. Intense. Different. Emotional. Lovestruck was a brilliant contemporary romance standalone that had me hooked by the end of the very first chapter and had me thinking about those two long after the pages quit turning.

He wasn't looking for trouble...until she walked in.

He needs a change. After experiencing something traumatic and life changing, he needs a change in his life... a change in people, college, and scenery, so that's what he does after accepting a prestigious internship that others can only dream about... not only does it change his world forever but it also takes him to her... trouble.

She's always followed the rules...until him.

She is struggling. Barely making ends meet and trying to keep up with not only her life but her sister's too.... she's lost, slowly drowning, and needs help or just someone to confide in. When she meets him, she thinks it's by accident, chance but she will quickly learn that he was meant to cross her path and be that person she needs.

Both are broken from scars. Both are looking to a different future. And they find that sometimes fate will lead you where you were always supposed to be.

Explosive chemistry. Undeniable sparks. Unforgettable moments. Zephyr and Malia fiercely stole my heart while packing serious punches to it at times. These two couldn't have been more right for each other, even when it got complicated.. tricky..and downright hard.

Yes this is a total standalone and I had no issues keeping up.... but this family has piqued my interest so you can bet your sweet booty I'll be going back to the beginning.

I highly recommend this book.

LOVESTRUCK by Nana Malone was just an OK read for me. I wanted to like it more because the blurb was so good but I found this hard to get into. There wasn’t really much wrong with the story but, for me, I had a hard time connecting with the characters and getting into the story. The flow of the story was just slow as molasses at times and the characters were hard to connect with. In saying that, Zephyr and Malia did have this chemistry that shined thru the plot , something made you want to continue reading. They drew you in which was a plus in my book. Zephyr had some tragic things happen to him in his recent past and when he gets this job offer, he thinks this is what he needs to get his life back on track. Malia herself finds her life flipped upside down –she is homeless just recently, and her parents had just died over a year ago. She works numerous jobs to send money home to her aunt who is taking care of her younger sister, Eva. Poor Malia doesn’t seem to catch a break. These two meet at a faculty event which college student Malia attends hoping she can score an internship while Zephyr is at said faculty event representing the company. These two meet and it was electric between them. Their love story is fated to not be because employees cannot fraternize … I do not want to get any further into the story for it would give spoilers away. I will say there are several huge twists in this story. I was glad to get another Donavan story and it was great to see previous characters make a reappearance in this book. I do look forward to the next book in the series…I have to say, the sneak peak of the next couple up has me doing the happy dance.

3.5 stars!

What a cute book! I really loved Malia and was so eager to follow her story! This was my first read by this author and I absolutely adored how the women in this story were completely strong on their own.

In the past two years Malia has had to struggle her way through school. Malia lost both her parents and had to work to send money back home to her aunt who was taking care of her sister. Working several jobs and attending school, Malia finds herself homeless. She meets a cute guy, but knowing she has no time for a relationship she tries to move on. Except, as it turns out, cute guy is her new mentor!

Zephyr is trying to move on from his past and moves to a new city. He has always had a hero complex,  so when he finds out that the students he happen to has a crush on is homeless, he can't help but try to save the day.

This story was super cute. I really enjoyed how even though Malia was struggling to make ends meet she was pushing herself to do everything she could. She is an extremely hard worker! Her and Zephyr's relationship was incredibly adorable! I loved how he continued to want to help my Malia always still held onto her strength.

I really enjoyed the twist and turns in the end! Everything was leading up to it, yet somehow I still didn't see where this book was going and truly enjoyed the ride!

My ARC copy of the book was provided in exchange for a fair, unbiased review.

LOVESTRUCK is the 1st book I have read by Nana Malone. The blurb drew me in: Zephyr Donovan knew the sacred rule. Never date a student.

With the demons in his past, all he wanted was a fresh start. When Zephyr received an offer from the prestigious Tanashi Company located in Pittsburgh, he sees it as his chance to start over. At the faculty event soon after his arrival, he meets a very beautiful enticing girl. He has run to this new position to forget the recent tragic past. He seems to have a “hero complex” and is drawn to this girl that he feels needs saving.

Malia Adams has a very complicated life. At this moment the main problem is that she is very hungry. She hasn't eaten anything recently. With an empty stomach she decides to crash the faculty event where she knows they will have plenty of “free” good food. Besides from being hungry, she is presently homeless. She now seeks any friend's empty couch or safe nook to crash.

The last thing she needs was to met a handsome stranger at the event. But he is drawn to her and there is an instant attraction between them. They start talking and he even helps stand guard so she can stuff her purse and bag with goodies. He tries to set up a date, but she leaves him with a false name and leaves. Fate would have them meet at one of her many jobs. She works endlessly to sent money home to her wicked aunt to care for her teenage sister. It is at the bar where she works that they share a scorching first kiss, but then again she runs.

The very first day that Zephyr was to start his class as a mentor to the most promising students that were hand picked as the top entrepreneurs. She walks into his class late and dressed in the same clothes she had on at the bar smelling of beer. He had no way of knowing she had sleep in a car. He only knew this was not a good impression. He had made out with her and she was his student. This was bad!

This is a standalone romance. A forbidden romance. There was to be no fraternization between mentors and students. Even if there was no such rule, he had sworn off “needy” girls. But he wanted to be her white-knight with chivalry and all. And there also was the fact that he had kissed the girl that could put his entire future in jeopardy. She had kissed him back and the problem was that she was starting to fall for Zephyr Donovan, and her future plans could also come crashing down. Read to find out.

This book starts with Malia, being practically tossed out on the streets by her roomate, between all her jobs and staying with friends she's having great difficulty keeping up at school. At a faculty she meets Zephyr Donovan.

Zephyr has moved to Pittsburgh to escape his past, but also to take up a fellowship with the Tanashi Corp. When he meets Malia, he instantly feels a connection to her, but on learning that he's also to be her mentor, he knows that these feelings he has for her can't go any further !!

I really loved both Zephyr and Malia, i found myself just rooting for them right from the start. Zephyr just melted my heart, even with his past he couldn't hide his beautiful caring side, yet he was no ones walk over either, just the perfect combination of traits. Malia even with all her struggles, was kick ass and determined and i loved that about her. Even though at times a little predictable, (it is romance after all !!) i thoroughly enjoyed every step of their journey and i loved the little twist at the end, i was like "WHAT??" Well written , steamy, and endearing. Definitely a romance to warm your heart, engage your emotions and provide you with a hot sexy new Book Boyfriend !! Move over Malia !!!!

I have to be honest, this one was a bit slow. It took me a bit to get into it. Malia is a smart, bright student who is at the top of her class and works too many jobs to be able to take care of her sister. Zephyr is a smart, grad student and Tanashi fellow who moved from New York to Pittsburg for a fresh start. He had a rough past and cares to much about the people in his life. Zephyr pursues Malia but she tries to resist even though they have great chemistry because of complications in her life. They had a push and pull relationship and knew they shouldn’t be together. When he knows she has a problem, he tries to help and fix them. They both end up giving in after being in close quarters. It seems like it takes forever for these two to finally have sex but when they do it’s pretty hot. There’s a bunch of drama and twists and turns. Overall, I really did enjoy this one although I thought the ending seemed a bit too easy and that it could have been shortened some. I’m looking forward to reading Zephyr’s siblings books!

Lovestruck by Nana Malone is a standalone set in the world of the Donovans. I haven't read the books in the series before reading this. Although I had no trouble following Zephyr and Malia's story, i kinda felt lost with the family backstory.

Zephyr and Malia were great characters, and I definitely enjoyed their stories, although I felt the book at times was overwritten. Too many details that we didn't need as part of the story. At times it was hard to concentrate on the storyline.

I'm a HUGE fan of Nana's writing style, and stories. But I kinda felt a little let down by Lovestruck. The storyline was good, and I ADORE the characters. Both Zephyr and Malia come with a lot of baggage. Both very private about it.

Lovestruck has tons of intrigue, with some interesting plot twists. I look forward to reading more about the Donovan's in the future.

Love Struck is about Zephyr and Malia. Zephyr is a new mentor for a college fellowship and is using the opportunity for a fresh start after a deadly accident at his previous school. Malia is a student who is beyond down on her luck, works multiple (and I do mean MULTIPLE jobs) and basically homeless. As soon as the two meet they have this instant connection and chemistry for each other. A few run ins, one of which is very steamy, and a fake name later they meet each other in class. Zephyr is the teacher and Malia is his student. Along with the story of a romantic relationship this novel really opens your eyes to a post secondary life and makes you wonder how many students are struggling to such a huge extent. The only complaint about this book was that there were a few areas that were a little dragged out. Otherwise a really good read.

So this book is the first one out of the Donovans that I have read. That being said you can read these as standalone with no problems.

This story has good characters and I really liked Zephyr Donovan. He is a great character and wants to be everyone's knight and shining armor. But at some point, he decides he needs a break and heads to a new school. Where he meets Malia Adams, who has so much going on in her life that she doesn't need any man. Not that she was looking for one, Zephyr just happens to be there to help her.

This is a good story it is just unbelievably SLOW! At some point, I was skipping pages to get through the book. I know that sounds bad but it felt like I wasn't missing much and it was getting boring. Not much on the sex part, either.

I voluntarily read an advance reader copy for my honest review.

Going into Lovestruck I wasn't sure what to expect. I'm admitting now that this is my first time read of Nana Malone. Will it be my last no because I plan on going back for more to see what I've been missing out on. Even though to me there were a few slow points in this one I got why as the story went on. The relationship between Malia and Zephyr may be somewhat forbidden and a slow build but it makes sense. Malia has a complicated life. You feel for her struggle to stay afloat. You wonder why she didn't seek more help. Like is she stubborn or ashamed. You wonder why she doesn't question her aunts intentions more. Zephyr you feel the struggle to heal and forgive himself. As Lovestruck unfolds you start to fall for Malia and Zephyr more. You feel for them when a roadblock is thrown in front of them. You realize how perfect they are together. Lovestruck is lovely read and I look forward to more.

Zephyr and Malia had some huge walls to try and tear down before they could truly be together. The romance moved forward slowly, and then it seemed like it would take a step backwards. That was a little frustrating.

There were unexpected twists, or I should say, twists "I" wasn't expecting, but should not have been surprised about coming from a Nana Malone novel. She manages to sneak one in On me in many of her books. It always leaves me with the sense of "Ha,ha...You thought you had this one all figured out."

I love the diversity of characters in her books, and this one does not disappoint. Enjoy!

I really enjoyed this book, it was the first book I have read by this author and what better way to start than with a forbidden romance. The story was great, flowed and kept me engaged.

The relationship between the characters was a slow build but it ended up being great. I loved Zephyr and Malia and although they both have huge issues and both need more than a little help. They are good together. I was drawn into this book and didn't want to put it down.

I recommend this book and I feel that although everyone will have different views. We will gain something from reading this book.

Forget the Brady Bunch, forget the Huxtables, my favorite family is definitely the Donovans! Since there are more than a dozen in the family I feel assured that I will have many, many, many more stories about their lives. In Lovestruck, we get to read about Zepher who moves to Pittsburgh after an "incident" and there he meets Malia and then the real fun begins. There are so many twists and turns in their story that kept me guessing until the very last page. I loved this book and can't wait to read the next books in the Donovan's Series.

I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest and totally voluntary review

Marie's Tempting Reads ARC Review:

I am a sucker for a damsel in distress, and a hunk of a man coming to the rescue, but WOWZA, Lovestruck still plowed into my heart like a freight train and had it melting, sighing, fantasizing and craving more Donovans! This is a sweet, ultra sexy, brilliant contemporary romance that took my breath away. I fell in love with the characters and the situations. It was an amazing compelling story that I just adored. I HIGHLY recommend Lovestruck and I personally can't wait to read it again and again just to get the feels and to swoon all over.

I received the ARC in exchange for a honest review.

I didn’t know what to expect when I dove into this book. It could have gone a hundred different ways. But Nana Malone managed to make my head spin with all the twists and turns! I really loved how diverse the characters were and it kept me guessing. I was on a rollercoaster of emotions. This is so good and I recommend this to everyone! This is a must read!

Steamy lighthearted funny read.
I had not read the other books in this series and I had no problems reading it as a standalone.
Overall, the story was well written and the characters were likable. The story was engaging and it flowed nicely albeit a bit slow.
The romance between Zephyr and Malia is charming and sweet but as they're in a non- fraternization situation their slow burn romance was s-l-o-w.

How do you mend a broken heart? If you are a Donovan, you get under it not over it. For Zephyr and Malia the road is long and the heartache is fierce, but their love proves unstoppable in the end. Lovestruck is not a swan song, but a power ballad that lingers in the air after the last note has been played. Enter at your own risk, because you'll regret it if you don't.

I don’t buy books for the cover. That said I do love Andrew.

The story is sweet. College romance. Teacher and pupil sort of, actually Mentor/Mentee.

Could be a spoiler but it is revealed so early in the book I’m saying it anyway, Malia is one of the tragedies of modern life. Homeless. A sofa surfer. Looking for a comfy and safe place to sleep. I do love it when authors pick up on current social issues, it makes the book and characters so real.

My heart broke for Malia but my word, that girl is tough. Zephyr (I love that name) is there to pick up the pieces and put Malia back together but he has his own issues to deal with.

If you like friends to lovers, you will love this book. Malia and Zephyr are such a perfect, perfect couple.
