Since enrolling in the doctorate program, I always suffered from anxiety of what will I do after graduation. Dr. Chism provided a comprehensive anecdote of my options after earning a doctorate degree. Whether we like it or not or realize it or not, we live in a contemporary world of nursing science being underestimated, and often undervalued, with this book it lays down a good foundation of what it is to come for nursing science. The chapters on leadership (2) and opportunities and challenges (10) are inspiring, and are based on latest research on leadership and articles. She also touched sensitive topics like the title issues and the values attached to it. Easy to read, and with greath depth. I recommend this book to beginning nurse scientists.
