Another great by this author. The two detectives, Sophie and Jake, are lead by Ginger, the dog into investigating a murder and more. Couldn’t stop reading until the end to find out what happens. .

I was given an ARC of this book; here’s my honest opinion: Wow! Just WOW! This Wired series gets better and better! The intensity is fierce! Emotional highs and, yes, lows in Wired Justice left me drained, but so very satisfied at the end of a great story. While trying to find a missing girl, Sophie and Jake are thrown together and explore their feelings for each other, with some surprising results. Her dog, Ginger, plays a big part in several scenes. A very disconcerting meeting with someone from Sophie’s past, makes a proposal that promises at least another 1-2 books. There is one scene with Sophie and a bad guy that is so reminiscent of one with Lei Texeira way back in Blood Orchids, I had to look it up and re-read it! Both are real ‘badass’ women! Sophie, like Lei, is so tough, yet so vulnerable, so damaged. Can Doc Wilson help her heal?

I was looking forward to reading the new "Wired" book and I was very excited when it finally became available. Sophie is my favorite character from all the books Toby Neal wrote. Because of that I waited until the weekend started so I can savor and enjoy reading her new adventures. I have to admit that I simply couldn't put it down and I got to the end of it in one day (skipping dinner was totally worth it). Towards the end of the story I even thought of slowing down, leaving the last few chapters for the next day, trying to extend the time I spent in Sophie's world.... but I just couldn't. It was too captivating and kept me holding my breath until the end. Now I can hardly wait for the next "Wired" book because they just keep getting better and better. Toby Neal is amazing at keeping the story interesting, intriguing, unexpected and fresh. There are always new characters, though I very much enjoy when familiar and likable characters are back in the story, feels like getting back with good old friends! This is a definitely another "must read" from the Wired collection!

Wow, what an amazing thrill ride.

Sophie finds trouble again, ok well Ginger is the one really finding trouble for Sophie...lol it’s a good thing Jake is available, very willing and extremely able to help Sophie in any and every way.....lol as part of the investigation of course.

I loved Jakes sisters advice, Patty was spot on, I really loved catching up with Dr Wilson I just love her. The storyline was gripping and kept me guessing. Tank is an awesome new character and I just loved Sophie being Sophie .
As for the ghost, I’ll be honest I want him to disappear permanently but he does make an interesting contrast in Sophie’s work I just don’t like him in her personal life and as for Sophie’s Thailand family connections, well that will be even more interesting in future stories.......

I loved it ❤️

This was an awesome book! The chemistry between the characters is HOT! Reading about Sophie's non-stop escapades kept the pages turning. Having insight into Sophie's and Jake's thoughts kept me totally engrossed in the book! The book started with Sophie being on "vacation", but as per "normal Sophie", the vacation turned into a case. Sophie works with her co-worker Jake and the local Police on the case but in the middle of it all, she gets a surprise visit from someone from her past. Sophie needs some help handling all the things happening at once and her on-going depression so she goes to her therapist and these meetings with the therapist give you an inside look into the "darkness" she is battling and also how she feels about the three (3) men in her life. There is also a new character in the series and his name is Tank. You will fall in love with him as I did!! I loved this book and it seems as each book in the series comes out, they have more action, more suspense and more bad-ass Sophie! Love it!

Sophie Ang and her faithful furry sidekick, Ginger, have gone camping on the Big Island of Hawaii, with the intention of examining the pieces of her life and fitting them back together in hopes of feeling whole. Sophie literally gets dragged by Ginger into another crime scene she can't help but try to solve. Partnering with Sophie is brash and sexy Security Specialist Jake Dunn, who challenges Sophie on many levels. These two, along with Ginger and Tank, a dog they've rescued, take us on a ride filled with highs and lows of many emotions from fear to confusion to love, and back again through many others. This is a story filled with adventure, romance, mystery and justice.

Writer Toby Neal has created multi-faceted characters that we can identify with as they explore their own feelings amidst the carnage that humans perpetuate upon each other. Her characters are strong within their frailties, and consistently strive to serve justice to those that have been taken advantage of. After finishing this latest installment in the Wired series featuring Sophie Ang, I look forward to the next intriguing adventure of crime solving amidst the lovely islands of Hawaii, or wherever her adventures take Sophie.

Wired Justice continues the story of Sophie and her sidekick furbaby, Ginger. I am a huge fan of Toby Neal's writing, and Sophie is one of my favorite characters. She is fascinating, complex, vulnerable, prone to depression, and kicks criminal butt in a fierce way. When we first met Sophie in the Lei Crime Series (which I highly recommend) she was working for the FBI in technology, but drawn to the vigilante side of justice. After struggling with whether to work on with the law or alongside the law, Sophie made the leap to private security, and then to seeking justice on her own. In Sophie, Neal has created a character with a tortured past, whose struggles to fit in and to be "normal" are experiences to which many of us can relate.

In Wired Justice, Sophie just wants to take a vacation from all the violence in her past...but violence seems to find her regardless, and she is drawn into several cases. Sophie also is seeking respite from past relationships, and the appearance of her partner and potential love interest, Jake, does not help at all, throwing Sophie into an emotional tangle.

You'll have to read the book to find out what happens, and I highly recommend you do. With as complex a plot as ever written by Neal, the story is fast-paced from the start and will keep you reading long into the wee hours of the morning. As with all her novels, Neal's strong sense of culture and location help you to feel you are right there with the characters, in the middle of the tale, sweating on the edge of the Big Island's volcano, hiking through the forests, and dreaming on the edge of the Pacific Ocean.

Wired Justice - a review by Rosemary Kenny

By the middle of the book Sophie's seeing a psychiatrist, who's so amazed by her hectic, stressful and dangerous work and love life, (including the PTSD from being tortured and abused by her 'ex' Assan Ang, whom she killed in self-defence as well as vengeance in the last book), that she quite rightly says she should be paying Sophie to talk to her!

The luscious Toby Neal's fantastic, feisty, and fearless heroine, Sophie Ang, is like a female James Bond, Lara Croft and Modesty Blaise all in one, Despite her issues with depression and a troubled, tangled love-life, Sophie carries on in her usual amazing way. In Wired Justice, Book 6 of the Paradise Crimes.Series, she must put her recently rekindled passion with former lover Aliki, (her MMA instructor who saved her from a horrible death in Book 5, Wired Dawn), behind her and work to discover the perpetrator, who rapes and murders the girls whose degraded, dumped bodies mean the likelihood of doing so is slim.

Can Sophie put the ultimate betrayal by her dearest lover Connor Remarkian (aka The Ghost, a cyber vigilante with tech skills to equal or surpass Sophie's own) behind her? Will Jake accept that Sophie's not ready to commit to a permanent relationship, after the damage done by Ang and her disappointing 'reunion' with Aliki? Or will it be third time unlucky for young widow Sophie? When Sophie's treacherous and amoral mother attempts to emotionally blackmail her into the family's nefarious schemes, can Sophie resist?
Buy Wired Justice today and make sure you buckle up tight, as this unputdownable, breathtaking story will have you on the edge of your seat from start to finish!

(I received an Advance Review copy of this book in consideration of an unbiased review).

Well, we knew Sophie Ang was complicated, but this book takes her to new heights! The Computer Geek turned field agent has been seeking personal peace and identity for a while, hiking in the boonies of Hawaii, and every time she does, she manages to get pulled into a dangerous and exciting crime situation. Wired Justice takes Sophie’s adventures in new directions with her partner Jake. We get to see more intimate - and scary - facets of her life as she works to solve not one but three major crimes, while questioning and exploring her own past. This deep and intimate glimpse into Spohie's life will bring you to tears, make you angry, and have you smiling! This is not a book to miss! Highly recommended.

This book was everything I had hoped it would be. Toby did not disappoint. I love Sophie and her naivety but ultimately she is uber smart, strong, fearless, and fiercely determined to be independent. But no matter what she tries to do or where she seems to go, trouble seems to follow her. With her lovable dog Ginger at her side, she can face just about anything.

When she decides to take a walk about, things do not go as planned. Ginger and her nose stir the proverbial pot and drag Sophie into a mystery that needs her certain skill set to put all the pieces together. Throw her adorable, dynamic, partner Jake Dunn into the mix and things really start to get hot in the kitchen. Good lord, that man may be a Neanderthal but he is definitely good at what he does. So good! *Sigh*

Toby writes with such exquisite detail. The way she’s able to immerse you into the island surroundings makes one feel as though they are there. Her books grasp you from the first line and keep you wanting more.

What a journey for Sophie! Trying to relax and take vacation time she stumbles upon something quite serious. Sophie and Jake end up working a case together with HPD and work through a ton of evidence. Ginger, Sophie's dog, apparently has a keen nose and was incredibly helpful. While working their case Jake and Sophie are struggling with feelings, casual or more? That is the big question. I found I really liked Jake here, not just the muscly beefcake but a sweet and protective man. Sophie has lots to work through in her life, it would be wonderful to see her with a romantic partner. Highly recommended that you read the series from the beginning, each book has a new crime but the personal journey continues. My copy was given from the author and my review written voluntarily.

THRILLER!

Sophie’s and her faithful lab Ginger were supposed to be taking some time off to get refreshed and refocused. So much for that idea! The girls quickly unite with Jake Dunn and his rescue dog Tank to find a missing girl. As they uncover more and more clues and find out how complex the web of players is woven, Sophie is also dealing with her demons of depression. She still is so traumatized by her past with her evil sadistic ex-husband. Three men want to share her life. Will she ever be able to fully trust any man? Neal intricately weaves a tale of trying find one’s self, duty/honor vs. revenge, love vs. lust, deception and life altering decisions made by others a lifetime ago that are still having effects today. Fast-paced adventure from start to finish! I was provided an ARC of this book by the author. The opinions expressed here are entirely my own and without influence.

Why does a good book have to end!!!

Another wonderful day spent with Sophie , Jake and all of Toby Meals other characters. I say day spent because I never start a Toby Neal Book unless I have a full day to devote to it. I know I just will not be able to walk away. I have been an addicted fan since the very first book. It does not hurt that they are set in the Hawaiian islands. But that alone would never keep me coming back book after book. The characters are like friends if not Ohana. And I NEED to know what happens next. Toby has the ability to pull you into the story. Her deep knowledge of the locations shows in the details that bring her books to life.
Now for me begins the long wait for May and the next in the Wired series.

WIRED JUSTICE. by Toby Neal
Sophie spent the night at the lava beds, enjoying that meditative state
Ginger, her dog, takes off, only to led Sophie to find a hole with bodies.
Jake with Security Solutions, dealing with the parents of their lost daughter. Visiting campgrounds,Jake and Sophie, none have seen the missing girl, a couple of lowlife’s the woman had on a bracelet that belong to the missing girl. Are they dealing with a serial killer, or as the authorities are saying they have a lot of missing kids on the island, but what about the hole with bodies. The plot is captivating, puzzling.a family is taken out. A beautiful young girl, and no one has seen. Against the beauty of Hawaii, another great plot, you don’t want to put down, as you try to figure out the why it has happened. Given ARC for my voluntary review and my honest opinion.

OH MY HECK!! Toby, you never cease to amaze me! This next installment in the Sophie Ang & her very special sidekick, Ginger is amazing! Just when I think it cant get any better, it does! Where ever Sophie & Ginger go, trouble seems to follow! Just when I think I know who I want her to fall in love with is decided, my mind changes. Sophie is such a remarkable character, who becomes stronger in each book. What I love
is we continue to find out more about Sophie & what makes her tick, while she is learning at the same time! So many great twists, romantic moments & heart renching times happen in this book! I cant wait to continue with Sophie & Ginger on where life takes them next!!

I could not get enough of the Lei Crime series and I felt the same way about this book as I finished it. I loved the way that Toby brought the Big Island to life, and I got to revisit "my Island" even before returning there. I enjoyed the fast paced action and intrigue of this book, it was full of twists and turns. I enjoyed having old friends come back, Alika, Dr. Wilson, even the Ghost, (except for the Chang family). I am excited to read the next one and find out who Sophie ends up with...or if she decides.

Wired Justice is the 6th book in this series. I have read then all and enjoyed them so much. They could each be read on their own, but it I feel you should read the whole series to understand the characters stories and their relationships. Toby Neal is an awesome author, I love all of her books. They take place in Hawaii and have complex, interesting and loveable characters. In this book Sophie and Jake are on the Big Island of Hawaii and face many threats, evil, romance, and a lot of mystery. They were hired to find a missing person. It is primarily their story and how they relate to each other personally, and in solving this mystery. There are many childhood secrets exposed about Sophie's and Jake's personal early history. So many things Sophie has to keep secret from Jake, and she has other men she has strong feeling for. She also gets a call from someone that makes her look at her future plans. She is getting counseling to help her understand what she is going through and what she needs to do now. This book is fast paced, a great read. I did get an ARC copy to read for free, and am writing a voluntary review. I love Sophie, and can't wait for her next adventure.

Toby Neal scores again with another installment in the Paradise Crime Series featuring Sophie Ang! Sophie is just the coolest, isn't she? The object of many men's affections, she also happens to be my girl crush! Ha! Sophie is on Oahu with her beloved dog, Ginger, trying to get away from it all when she runs into Alika (who has my vote!). The two share a quick kiss before Sophie and Ginger stumble upon a number of bodies tossed into a field, dead. Danger and adventure sure tend to follow Sophie wherever she goes, and when Jake arrives on the island to pursue a missing person investigation things get wild! Honestly, I didn't follow the main story line too closely because I was so caught up in what was transpiring between Sophie and Jake and all I can say is FINALLY! I think I am team Alika, but I also think team Jophie HAD to happen to quell the readers' needs. I can't wait to see what happens next.

This is by far my most favorite book in the Wired series. Told mostly from Jake's point of view, Toby Neal has written this in a way that you can almost hear, see, feel and smell the volcano, the lava...

Sophie Ang is a magnet for trouble on a personal and professional level from the three amazing men who would follow her anywhere to the dead bodies that pile up everywhere. Plenty of action, intrigue and sizzle and not just from the flowing lava.

Full of action!

This book is jam packed with action. So much going on on so many levels. Still some unanswered questions that need to be added in the next book, so am awaiting that. Loving the new addition to the canine half of the family, but really disliking the other familial addition.
A good plot and lot of sub stories make this a very interesting read. Keep them coming please.

Toby Neal's Paradise Crime Series is an awesome series. Sophie & Jake are chasing kidnappers who rob and kill tourist. Very complex story, so much is told about Sophie's history, Jake is fallen for Sophie, but her past keeps her from trusting. As always, Toby gives great description of the scenery, I love this, since I will never get to see the Islands. Now on the #7.

Sophie and her partner Jake have a new case: wealthy parents have reported their daughter missing when she was hiking in Hawaii. Sophie learns that there are several missing persons in the area and wonders if it is a pattern. Sophie is attracted to Jake, but she is leery of getting too involved after her past experiences with men. Sophie's dog Ginger has a new canine friend, Tank, and I liked that the dogs figured prominently in the novel.

Tough Sophie

Good action story, but too much thinking about her love life, ie which man she really likes. I hope she doesn’t become a counter spy for her mother’s organization. I’d like to see her find her “freedom” & enjoy her life.

Far and away my favorite Sophie book so far! Every book has me loving Sophie more and more. Her adventures, her courage and bravery, her dog. Ha. This book draws you in from page one and keeps you quickly turning pages until you reach the last one. And then you sadly sigh and slowly close the book, wishing you hadn’t read it so fast. Big time book hangover going on here! If you haven’t started the Wired series, get on the bus! You won’t regret it.
