Thanksgiving. Christmas. New Year’s. How will the Bullet family save themselves from their enemies—and each other? No spoilers, but their solution involves gunfire.

This year, be thankful your family is slightly less homicidal than the Bullet family.
Since each of the Bullet siblings grew up to be a different kind of pulp adventurer—a detective, an archaeologist, a mad scientist, and a monster hunter—when they take turns telling the story, a different artist takes over in a different style and genre. So these holiday- themed murder mysteries explode into an epic pulp mashup of crime, science fiction, horror, and adventure.
Thanksgiving. Christmas. New Year’s. How will the Bullet family save themselves from their enemies—and each other? No spoilers, but their solution involves gunfire. Lots of it. So give the Bullet family a shot ... before it’s too late. Ready, aim, FIRE!

This was a fun, cool read. I would totally read more adventures from the Bullet family.

I am pleasantly surprised after reading my first comic Wild Bullets. Before reading this comic I was skeptical that I would not like the randomness with Greg Wrights comics thinking they would be almost childlike random but it turned out to me more organized than I thought. In Wild Bullets by Greg Wright the bullet family gets together to solve a "murder" mystery of the maid on thanksgiving. Each family member is very different from the next and you can tell why they all don't get along. It all starts when Steve Bullet(the detective in the family) saves the little red haired maid and brings her back to protect her. I personally loved how this scene is illustrated in black and white with the pops of red from the maid. It was a nice touch to signify that this happened earlier in the comic and captures the tone of the getaway scene. Next, there's Kelly Bullet who is the archaeologist. I do wish that the art would have kept up wight the theme of changing when they are having flashbacks just like with Steve but when Kelly's part comes in for the idol the art blends in with the current time of thanksgiving when it should be separated. Moving onto Archie Bullet who is along the lines of a mad scientist and Minerva Bullet, who is the investigator that thinks everyone likes her. We then have Daisy the family matriarch and Bill Bullet a former hero. With each character being different they are able to solve this mystery by taking each others strengths. I give this comic about a 3 out of 5 because it is slightly hard to follow along but over all the comic is okay and it has opened me up to considering reading different genre comics in the future.

The comic book Wild Bullets by Greg Wright is about the eccentric Bullet family who gather back home for Thanksgiving when the maid is killed. The comic features four main characters who are all very unique and are illustrated by their own artist. Steve Bullet is like a mobster in his look and the way he talks, Kelly Bullet is an archeologist who is akin to the female version of Indiana Jones, Archie Bullet is a mad scientist who is always creating experiments, and Minerva Bullet is just a regular badass woman. Overall the entire family is unique and they are all very different from one another with also adds to the story. This makes the tone of the comic change with each character and add another element to the experience. I normally never read comic books so I was surprised when I actually enjoyed it. The plot was captivating and the illustrations were beautiful and added so much to the story Steve’s color scheme is very dark with only shades of black and white represented and then the maid’s bright red hair. Kelly’s is all drawn in natural shades and has an entirely different feel. Archie’s is mostly colored with green which adds to the mad scientist persona. Minerva has a red tone throughout her section and it adds to her badass feel. Overall, i very much enjoyed the storyline, but the illustrations are what sold me. It is a very beautiful and different comic with interesting characters and a captivating plot. I gave this comic 3 stars and would love to read more comic like this in the future.

I picked this book at comic con after talking with writer Greg Wright. The premise he explained seemed different and he was correct. The maid is murdered and different members of the Bullet family takes turn explaining why their past adventures could be the reason.

The art is done by different people and their styles is drastically different. This has bugged me with other comic books in the past and actually has taken away some of the enjoyment I get. However, with this book having a different artist/art style for the different family members stories makes each story unique and still ties the overall story together. My favorite artist of the group is Sean Seal. The noir style is beautiful and fits the detectives story really well.

My only complaint is that the book is short and I would have liked more family stories. However, it is still a fun and wacky book.
