At a time when a famous rabbi walked the streets of Jerusalem, a shrewd young woman, bored, lonely, and oppressed by her role as the wife of a prominent Pharisee, seeks significance in a lofty ambition to change the course of history. In defiance of her husband's strong antipathy to this controversial teacher, she follows her heart and finds herself in the thick of volatile situations caused by a man who seems to attract trouble wherever he goes. Her life changes when she makes friends with Shana – the endearing character from novels, Woman of Clay and Woman of Mettle. But just when new happiness becomes a possibility, she finds out about a crafty murder plot, and everything crashes. Her daring plan to intervene ends in failure, and the death of the only man she truly loved throws her marriage into crisis. Now she is far worse off than she ever was before.
The Rabbi Yeshua had an effect on every person who crossed his path – some said he was the Prophet, some the Messiah, others called him demon-possessed. Many of them were eye-witnesses who contributed to the accounts later recorded by the rabbi's closest friends. Who were these people and what were the stories of their lives? In these pages, one such story is told. You too can be an on-looker at these world-changing events, chance upon the Master in his less familiar roles, and become entangled in the drama of the Bible in a dynamic new way.
LINDA CADDICK grew up in Zimbabwe, spending most of her time confined to boarding school but holidays wandering freely on her father's farm, where she developed a lively imagination and a love for nature. Strongly attracted to Cape Town, South Africa, she went to live there at the first opportunity.
Her writing skills were developed during many years of producing descriptive editorial for a restaurant publication. After almost 20 years of city life, her dream of living in the country was realized when she and her husband, together with their two small children, bought a run-down caravan park in the Cape Winelands and turned it into a popular resort for church and family outings.
Linda's passion is for writing inspirational novels which illustrate the truth of the gospel through compelling characters and stories that will appeal to all.
What could be more beautiful,or should I say who, then our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. This novella is brief but full of the love and grace that our Lord bestows upon us day by day. It made me to feel joy, sorrow, fear and embarrassment. Not every writer is capable of making one embrace every emotion in a single reading but Linda has done just that. Definitely advise all who even come across this title to give it a read. Take your time with it, you will be saddened when it’s done. Enjoy
I love Linda’s books, they have such an incredible way of drawing me into the times they portray. She makes the days of Jesus come alive in the most beautiful way. This is another story of incredible forgiveness and transformation and it gave me hope and much joy! I can certainly recommend this book to anyone. It’s an easy read but somehow deeply rewarding. Get it today!
I have enjoyed all of Linda Caddicks books and this was equally inspiring and well told. I recommend it to anyone who wants to hear how a Pharisee can transform.
I love this story! It makes you think what the pharisees wives went through especially if one of the wives followed Jesus(Love). It was so good! Thank you so much!! God bless you!
