An excellent companion to her brush lettering book, this one takes the artist through the common themes of modern calligraphy (proportion, form, angle, flourish, bounce, and blending inks). This book is intended for those using dip pens and ink wells, but I found the paper didn’t hold up under my ink. I completed the exercises in the book with a fudensuke brush pen instead. However, one can use tracing or layout paper to go back over the exercises with pen and ink. The QR code video tutorials were, again, very helpful and a welcome addition to the instruction manual.
