This was definitely different then the books I am used to reading out of this series. It wasn't bad just different then the books further down the reading order. I liked how despite what was done to him, he was still determined to help protect those who couldn't protect themselves. I liked how she was determined not to give up despite what they were facing. Good read!

In this "Man Who Knows What He Wants" story, Zane wants justice.

Not revenge or vindication, though it may look like that.

Not love, though Claire may be able to change his mind on that.

After he finds justice.

In this departure from the author's usual insta-love novellas, Zane is a retired Navy SEAL who has one last job to complete - the one he thought was done, until he sees what should be a dead man appearing to be alive and well. What follows is an extensive action/adventure story that pits Zane and the DEA agents he's working with against drug cartels and human traffickers in an exciting and heart-stopping race to save a kidnapped federal agent. And, let's not forget that justice is what Zane is really after.

There is a love story here, but it definitely takes a back seat to the main story. The writing is instantly captivating, drawing you into the action immediately while brilliantly teasing out the details of past events and how they intersect with the current action. Told entirely from Zane's POV, this is a beautiful look inside the mind of a man on a mission.

I was absolutely enthralled throughout the entire book. There is a HEA, guaranteed, though there are more than a few nail-biting and breathless moments along the way. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

This is a full length story, slightly different from this writers other books, Claire and Zane are both agents in this exciting story, packed full of excitement danger Romance and steam it is a great read, I shall read more by this writer, I thoroughly enjoyed this book

This is a quick and easy read. The storyline is well-crafted, intriguing, suspenseful, has drama and steam. The characters are defined, and likable with sizzling chemistry. I liked it.

I found myself mostly skimming this one. I found it incredibly boring and they talk about the hero sleeping 5 women before the heroine enters the story and 1 after he meets her. No details thankfully. At about 40% I had lost all interest. The end is 3 years years later, she's pregnant and they finally get engaged. Boo. I'm reluctantly leaving 3 stars because I while I was bored I know it was almost entirely because this type of story just isn't my cup of tea. I prefer this authors stories of insta-love, obsessed heroes to the drawn out intrigue of this one.

When Ferrari transitioned to longer books, I was nervous because I loved her short stories so much. This is the 2nd of her longer books I have read, and I have not been disappointed. I will say that there was quite a bit of 'past' vs 'present' regarding the timeline, and at first it was condusing. Eventually I understood when Zamora (story from his POV) would transition and it became more clear. My confusion was not enough to detract a star however.
Zamora (former SEAL) and DEA Agent Claire Abbey (Abbey) were the primary characters (Agent Bill Frost was more secondary). These two shared a determinism, desire to do good, honesty, and passion. Emotionally closed off, they both struggled to allow true feelings to effect their ultimate goal. Zamora, living the good life, saw a dead man walking. In efforts to locate him, he was instead found by 2 DEA agents. He was immediately taken by Abbey. She engaged his protectiveness without knowing. As they worked together to take down the drug smugglers/traffickers, they learned the case was so much more. While Zamora was on personal vendetta, and Abbey's need to retrieve her mentor, they formed a bond leaving both wanting more.
As the case spiraled out of proportion, and Abbey feared being removed, would these two get their ultimate goal? Would their summer fling in Greece be just that? This is definately one to read.

I received this book with the understanding that I could leave a voluntary and honest review.

In this book we meet Claire Abbey and Zane Zamora. Zane is a seal who was outed after he went after a man who killed his best friend and seal buddy. After that they Navy thanked him for his service and politely showed him the door. So he decided to visit Greece for a while. While there he sees what should be a dead man. Upon checked on this dead man he opens a can of worms he never planned on. Claire is a DEA agent there to bust traffickers for using refugees as drug mule enablers. They want the big players not the people just trying to get somewhere better. Upon speaking with Zane she and her partner know that if they are to get anywhere in this case they are going to need his help. Will they find something they didn't know they could have with their jobs a HEA or will the people they are after make sure that never happens?

This is a different type of romance story from this authors norms. This is more of a suspense book with some romance in it rather than her typical insta romance books. It is good though it has its ups and downs I really want to tell you about. However I don't want to ruin the book for any other readers. I will say this book will have you hooked from the first word to the very end. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.

One hot seal and the young woman he wants at first sight. ........So this was a free ARC copy from one of my favorite authors to read for and booksprout for my honest voluntary review of this read and I thought it was a sizzling hooot read.I always look forward to reading her books because they are always sooo sizzling hot to read, and I really enjoy them! And I look forward to seeing more from her in the future. I couldn't put it down once I started reading it, it was that great a read . He's a hottie out of the seal's and trying to put is past behind him when he see her and knows that she's the one for him.She wants to know about his past but also wants him as bad as he wants her.So look out things are going to start to sizzling out of control between them. Has a great storyline and great characters to read about to.Plus its sooo sizzling hooot!!! So if you want a great read that is sooo sizzling hot then you need to get this read because its sooo worth it.

i read this book as part of an arc program. This is the story of Claire and Zamora. Zamora is a former Navy SEAL and Claire is a DEA agent. Zamora is enjoyed being retired when he stumbles into a human trafficking ring and sees a man he thought he had killed years ago. Claire and Agent Bill Frost go to see Zamora and get him to work with them to stop the smuggling they think is happening along side of the human trafficking. Zamora agrees in order to get another chance to kill the man that he thought was dead. There is also a missing DEA agent who he is asked to help find. Zamora and Claire have a connection and they are both attracted to each other, but Claire wants to wait until the case is closed and they are no longer working together, but it is harder than they thought. They start a relationship and grow closer. This book is told from both sides of view and has frequent flashbacks. There is a very involved story line and has many angles. I liked this book, but i thought it was more about the case than the romance between Claire and Zamora.

This i more of a romantic suspense than Flora's books usually are it is also quite a bit longer and that gives it a hell of a lot more clout

Zane Zamora was a highly decorated Navy Seal but he was devastated when a close Seal friend was killed on a mission and the navy didn't have his back So he took an Honourable discharge now he is living the good life in Greece on vacation but is he all that he seems When he sees a ghost from the past he calls in favours and is recruited by the DEA through them he meets Claire Abbey a DEA agent and the moment he sees her he wants her and the feeling is mutual but first they will have to survive the current case As they progress through the case to stop drug trafficking and people smuggling they will realise it is much more and actually stems back to Zane's past as a Seal Will they solve the case and will they get a HEA together You will have to read to see

Zamora was always proud to be a Navy Seal but when a drug dealer killed fellow Seal and his best friend he wanted payback.Now hes out of the Navy and visiting Greece partying and just kicking back until a man that was involved in horrible things he sees.A couple of DEA agents show up and ask for his help.Will he be able to help them being down an evil ring of bad guys?Will Zamoraend up falling for Claire Abbey the DEA,agent? This story has action,suspense,romance.There are so many twists and turns to this story will keep you riveted until the very last page.I love the way this amazing author brings the characters to life before your eyes and makes you feel their emotions and their pain.I can hardly wait to see what;s next by this multi talented author.

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. Wow! Where do I start? This book is vastly different from the other books by Ms Ferrari and shows what a wonderful writer she is. This book is more intense than her other ones and the story line was full of action, suspense, intrigue and mystery. Of course there is a love story involving Zane Zamora and Claire Abbey. Though the focus is not only on that. I loved this different type of book from Ms Ferrari. It is very well written and I had a hard time putting it down. The twists and turns it takes and the wanting to know how it will end was so intense. Definitely one of Ms Ferrari best books so far.

Zamora is a navy seal who thinks he has killed the man who murdered his best friend. While vacationing in Greece, he sees a face from the past and knows that he did not succeed in killing Devlin!. He meets up Claire, one of two DEA agents who are trying to take down a drug ring. They agree to work together. Zamora's main focus is to destroy Devlin. As the story progresses, he realizes that the "ring" they are after goes much deeper than drugs. The story is non-stop and you can't help but keep reading. I could not put the book down. I would recommend it to everyone who enjoys a thriller.

Not short story but a full length story from Flora Ferrari. I liked that. It gives the reader more time and opportunity to get into the story. It gave it more depth and better description of the characters and their lifes. A bit unusual story for Flora Ferrari. She only gets better and better.
Well described characters who develops nicely through the story. Absolutely a story with attraction, drama, steam, love and twists.
I will say though that the first part of the story I was confused but it got better because then the Hero got described better and it was easier to place him and what he wanted.
Recommendable read.

This is dramatic, suspenseful and intriguing. The storyline is great, it has a lot of twists and shocks. Claire is a strong character, she is confident, smart and tough. Zane, however, is cocky and bold, so much so that he looks like a fool, because he's not everything he thinks he is. The two do make a good team and couple. The writing leaves a lot to be desired, it makes to sense sometimes, rambles and conversations are stilted. It's a shame the writing wasn't better, because the storyline is amazing.

I have to admit that I was very confused after reading 1/5 of the book, and almost gave up reading the book at all. I wasn't sure who the main character really was, what he was doing there, or what his plans were. But continuing to read, things became clearer and there was lots of action and adventure - also a missing DEA agent, a dangerous crime lord to catch, traffickers, refugees, pirates, smugglers, and more! A little something for everyone, I guess...

Dead man walking...

The fight for justice is never easy but former SEAL, Zane, and DEA agent, Clare work together against the cartels and human traffickers to find a missing DEA agent. Zane is also out for justice for his murdered friend.

This romantic suspense story has well-developed characters who are strong, likable and have great chemistry. The storyline is fast-paced, complex, and compelling. This is a story that keeps you on the edge of your seat.

Zane Zamora is an ex-SEAL. He's on his own mission but teams up with a young DEA agent, Abbey, to help them both get what they are after. There passion sizzling beneath the surface but Abbey keeps pulling up short. Will she cave and give in to her desires? Will Zane and Abbey get the answers and conclusions they are looking for? This book is different from what Miss Ferrari usually writes. It's not so much insta-love, more a slow lead up to HEA. But as always, you really can't go wrong with this author.

This is a well written book with strong well developed characters and an interesting story line. The author once again brings an entertaining and drama filled story with a sizzling passion and hot chemistry. She brings it to life with her detailed scenes and had me glued to the pages. Told from the point of view of the male lead, this book focuses more on the thrill than the romance in a good way.

This SEAL knew what he wanted to do with life & his job. One a SEAL always a SEAL. There was a huge "problem" going on in another part of the country where he was living. The DEA thought it might be drugs but once "Zamora" & Claire Abbey started talking the more they started to get deep into a feelings for one another. They also started putting intel together & figured this case was not drugs at all but something BIGGER.

Oh here we have such deep action & action on with Seal Zane Zamora & DEA Agent Claire Abbey whose lives are joined over the years in different ways during the time they see /don't bump into each other in their assignments. But it's not them just doing their jobs it's them that opens up & admits to all that is /had gone on with their lives before they open up.
Come in & see how things turn out between the 2 of them & see if they open up totally & truly to not just themselves but each other....

This is the story of Zamora who is a SEAL. He no longer has a team or a mission and is enjoying the sun, the booze, and the women. Along comes Agent Abbey. This story is enriched by the back story, the characters and the storyline itself. The suspense, twists and turns and the excitement keep you glued to your seat. The plot is only enriched with strong, varied and complex characters with passion, determination, and honor. Great read!

I’m a big fan of Flora’s quick easy reads. This was more of a novel but I enjoyed it just as much. A good storyline and captivating, sexy characters. Zane is on a Greek island doing nothing in particular, surfing, partying and enjoying his one night stands when he sees a ghost. Someone he killed years ago or so he thought. Devlin, the man responsible for killing his SEAL buddy. The scum of the earth and he is about to unleash Justice with the help of Agent Clare Abbey.

I've read a lot of books written by Flora Ferrari; she has done a great job at writing a good book; she is one of my favorite authors. I can’t wait to read more of books her books.

The story line caught my attention at the very beginning and kept me interested throughout the entire book.

This was another great read by Flora Ferrari! It's a action packed adventure full of suspense with well written characters with intense chemistry. A compelling and riveting suspense-filled romance! It is a fast pace on the edge of your seat read! The story line is well thought out and detailed, well written, and consistent. Lots of action, drama, suspense, danger, and heart-racing adventure to look forward to in this story. Action over romance

SEAL's Justice is a different story-line from the other books in this series that I have read. There is a lot of drama and action, just not a lot of it between the H and h and between the sheets.
For me I still think this book was well written but just did not meet what my expectations are when I read a Flora Ferrari story.
