Summer Solstice: A Novel of Adobe Springs, New Mexico

Rate this book
"Summer Solstice" is the third volume in a trilogy. The first, "The Rattlesnake Room," followed Larry Eliot from the boardroom of a Denver bank to accidental exile in Northern New Mexico after his affair with a stripper ends in tragedy. "One Flesh," the second volume, recounts the love affairs and financial speculations of Dr. Arthur Wick, as he makes a fortune, loses a wife, and remarries in 1977. In "Summer Solstice," which takes place in the present, Larry and Arthur find themselves together by coincidence in the New Mexico valley of Adobe Springs, with their wives, visiting offspring, and sundry other characters. After Anita Abeyta's mare is mysteriously shot, life in Adobe Springs becomes more interesting as the summer solstice celebration approaches.
