Notes: A nice intro to space, although maybe read again in 6-12 months. Written in 1994--mentions how "someday there will be a laboratory in space" which is funny.

The illustrations remind me of James Marshall's work.

Simplified illustrations good for children, text works well as a read-aloud.

The librarian recommended this to us and I was hesitant while looking at the picture of a cat in space on the cover. The contents proved better than expected including a sketch of our solar system. The book is a quick read, well suited to a young audience.
